Chapter 215 The Sacred Rule
Sukie’s heart jumped out of her chest right that moment, hearing those words from Kylie. Her entire skin grew goosebumps as she felt herself go completely numb. No, she was probably dreaming.
“How could you, Sukie?” Kylie’s voice gave a light crack. “How could you be so foolish to betray me in a way like this?”
It wasn’t a dream – Sukie realized. It was all happening! Her pregnancy had been discovered by Kylie! But, how…?! Her hands began shaking, her lips couldn’t go closed again.
Dreadfully, she pulled the reins of her horse and tried riding away, but Kylie was faster as she stretched out her hand towards her and magically pulled her off the horse.
“Ahhhh!” Sukie screamed as she fell roughly to the ground, her back and ribs aching. She whimpered in her breath as she laid on the ground, trying to get over the pain.
“Do you know what I did what I did when I left your room yesterday?” Kylie asked as she climbed down from her horse, walked closer and stood before Sukie. “I wasn’t having any meeting to attend, I just gave that as a flimsy excuse. I had returned to my room, and cried all night. For the first time since the death of my mother, I soaked my sheet with tears as I wondered how you could do a thing like this to me. I gave you everything, Sukie. We were meant to be together forever. The whole time, you were cheating on me with a flimsy male?”
A tear had slipped Sukie’s eyes. She wanted badly to get on her feet, but the pains from her ribs wouldn’t let her.
“When Corrine had told me you requested for a pregnancy book and suspected you were pregnant, I couldn’t believe it” she went on.
Sukie’s eyes dimmed. Corrine??? Corrine was the betrayer?
“I didn’t want to believe it, Sukie, but I also couldn’t deceive myself. I started connecting the dots, comparing how you acted and it became so clear that you were indeed, pregnant. I confirmed it when I heard that little heartbeat yesterday” she paused and sighed, tears resting at the brink of her eyes. “You’ve hurt me, Sukie, in a terrible way. And now, I want to know – who’s responsible for that thing in your womb?”
“Supreme… Sister…” Sukie called feebly.
“I’ve been thinking” Kylie sniffed like she hadn’t heard her. “How were you able to get so much information on the Alpha King’s wife? How did you know so much about the wolves? Some time ago, Remata had accused you of having a secret affair, but I defended you ’cause I trusted you. Little did I know she was telling the truth. Regularly, you kept going out to heal people, but the whole time, you were only seeing your secret lover. Now, it has become so clear – you, Sukie were the one that tried to break the Alpha King’s curse. About a year ago when he’d ordered a lockdown in his mountain and tried lifting his curse, I figured out a witch was there to help him and now it’s all clear you were that witch. You’ve been their ally all along ’cause you’ve been sleeping with one of them!
“Admit it, Sukie, you haven’t been mingling with a mere human. A Wolf is responsible for this child, isn’t it? That’s the reason you know so much about them, that’s the reason the Alpha King didn’t wage war when he’d accused of shooting his fourth wife. That’s the reason you defended his wife in the cave and was against us k*il*ling her. And at the last meeting we had with the Alpha King, I noticed how his gamma looked at you”.
Sukie’s heart gave a mighty leap. Oh, no…no. Not Pishan, please.
“The whole time while the King and I were talking, his gamma was only interested in staring at you and now, I’m just thinking of how close he is to the King. It’s all making sense…”
“Please” Sukie sobbed in. “He’s…He’s not the father of my child”.
“Then, who is, Sukie?!” She roared angrily. “Tell me who the fool is!!!”
Sukie bursted into more tears.
“Two months ago, we were hunting Ayita’s daughter. I had no idea you were becoming Ayita yourself. You’ve broken our sacred rule – multiple times – and deserve death. But, how do you expect me to k*il*l you, Sukie? Just how?!” She turned around and let out a tear.
“This is the reason I brought you out here, ’cause I didn’t want the sisters to know how much of a betrayer you are. So, you tell me, Sukie, right after I k*il*l this child, what do I do next?”
k*il*l her child? Sukie thought dreadfully.
“I’m sorry, Supreme Sister”, she wept. “I didn’t mean to hurt you, I didn’t mean to break your trust. But please, don’t harm my child”.
“That thing is not surviving, Sukie!” Kylie turned to her yelled. “That thing is forbidden and must be k*il*led!!”
Angrily, she stretched her hand towards Sukie and released the f0rce against her belly.
“No!!!!” Sukie cried out in pains. Acting fast, she released her f0rce against one of the trees closest to Kylie. She made it uproot from the grond and made to hit Kylie, and in a bid to escape it, Kylie had to step back. But when the tree fell, it stood as a barrier between her and Sukie. Lucky enough, Sukie’s horse was on the other side with her.
With excruciating pains and all the strength she could gather, she staggered on her feet and struggled to reach her horse. She looked back at Kylie on the other side of the tree and guessing she might want to attack her again, she had to do something she didn’t want to. She conjured a heavy wind and threw it towards her so she fell roughly on the ground. And while she tried getting a grip of herself, Sukie seized the opportunity, got on the horse and rode off as quickly as she could.

AT DAKOTA’S PALACE ✍️

Pishan was restless, moving to and fro in his room with Sukie’s letter in his hand.
Ever since he had gotten the letter the previous day, he’d been restless and unable to eat nor sleep. His mind wouldn’t stop lingering about – Sukie was pregnant for him, but it was forbidden. And she sounded really scared in her letter. Where could she be and how could she be doing? Probably, she should be at the cave the next day, but he couldn’t tell if he could wait that long as he badly wanted to see her and make sure she was fine.
The King’s fight with Ryder was in two days time and he needed to be there for him, but how would he be there for him when Sukie would be in trouble? Why did both circumstances have to happen same time? Just why?
He finally settled on the bed, his head in his palms. And right there, he made a short prayer to the goddess, asking she makes everything right.

Sukie continued riding for as long as she could until it became totally impossible. Blood was dripping down her legs, so heavily like urination and it came with unbearable pains down her pelvic.
She didn’t just stop the horse but fell from it as her legs had become too weak to hold on. She grunted painfully as she landed on the ground, her eyes going to her thighs which had blood rolling on it.
“No…” She whimpered, her heart beating rapidly with tears equally strolling down. The pains she felt was like nothing she had ever felt before, it was unimaginable.
She placed her hand on her tummy and tried making a protective spell: “Kaptsiel, Malakhel, avra ke-davra” she said with a shaky tone, but it obviously want working as the pains only increased.
“Kaptsiel, Malakhel, avra ke-davra” She repeated it three more times, but nothing still worked as it was obviously too late.
“No, please…” She wept profusely, holding her tummy tight. “My baby…I don’t want to lose you. Please …”
Alone in the isolated area, she laid helplessly in pains.

AT THE WITCHES PALACE ✍️

The Sisters were surprised when they found the Queen returning alone, and they were actually more confused to find her in a way they’ve never seen her before.
As she rode in and slowed down to stop, three of the sisters rushed to her.
“Supreme Sister…!”
“Welcome back, Supreme Sister..”
“Supreme Sister, are you alright?”
But Kylie said nothing as she climbed down from the horse and d*um*bly, began walking away.
The sisters followed her, anyways – throwing glances at each other and wondering what was wrong.
Kylie looked just pale as she walked in and stopped when she got to the throne room. Her mood had attracted a lot of the sisters who were muddled seeing their Queen that way. Her hair was ruffled with her eyes swollen like one that had been crying. She looked sister.
“Supreme Sister…” Remata called as she hurried towards her. “Are…are you alright? Did something happen?”
She looked at the sisters behind her and asked if they had seen anything, but they all shrugged.
And finally, Kylie made to speak.
“Let it be known this day…” she began. The rest of the sisters got their ears ready as her words sounded precious at that moment.
“…that Sukie is no longer a part of us. She is pregnant for a wolf and thus, broke the sacred rule. As we speak, she’s currently on the run and the moment she’s found, her judgement will be passed”.
The shock that crept into the faces of the sisters was one that could never be fathomed.
Remata’s lips were dropped open, an intense silence filled the air. And even as Kylie walked away, none of them could utter a word.
