Chapter 101 (Harper Alizah Grace’s POV)
I found myself laughing at what Uriel did to his uncle Troy. I know now why he’s calling him little devil, it is because he always prank him. “Uncle! You lose again, tsk, you’re really a loser.” He teases him while laughing so hard.
“This little devil,” I heard him murmured.
“I scared you uncle, so where is my chocolates?” Uriel extend his hand. “You didn’t scare me, Rie. So, there’s no chocolates for you. And one more thing, you can eat chocolates.” Uriel crossed his arm on his chest, he look so cute while doing that.
“Nope, I do scares you. Sister Harper saw it,” I look at him when she called me sister, wow.
“I startled him right?” He questioned me. I blinked twice before nodding.
“Yes, he’s right. You actually almost jump in shock, Troy.” I agreed. I saw him secretly pouted, the prince who have sour face can pout too, impressive.
“Right what do I expect, you are on this devil side. How about you, mate? I’m not scared with him right?” He asked Samantha. She’s eating something now so she’s not talking too much. She’s focusing on her food eh?
“They were right, you were actually scare of your own nephew,” She answered and smirk.
“Jus like what I expected.” He murmured again. Haha, it’s so nice to make fun of him too. The party is almost over, almost of the visitors already went home.
I’m not going home tonight, Uriel insisted that I should stay till morning. I can’t decline what he wanted because it is so bad of me if I’ll make him sad on his birthday.
Anyway, it was just tonight, not a big deal. “Ehem,” someone fake a cough behind so I looked around. I saw the king and queen, “Uriel, let’s go and sleep now.” His mom called him, but instead of going near to her, he went to me.
“I’ll just going to sleep when sister Harper will sleep beside me,” he said adorably.
“Your father will talk to your sister Harper,” his mother explained. “Oh that’s so sad, alright. I’ll go and sleep but Sister Harper will be still here tomorrow. I’ll check her after I wake up,” he’s really fond of me now eh.
“I don’t know if that possible honey, you should ask Harper about that.”
“Nah, just fine. I’ll stay here tonight till tomorrow.” I agreed causing Uriel to smile widely.
“You already said that, so I’ll look forward. Good night!” I nodded my head and smile at him.
“Good night, sleep well Rie.” He nodded and go with his mother. “You wanted to talk to me, your majesty?” He nodded. “Just call me James, no formalities please.” I’m confused but I just agreed.
“Alright, James. What we should talk about?” I asked curiously. “You will know, please follow me.” I nodded once again.
We went in a place that looks like his office. “Have a sit,” he said calmly as he pointed the chair in front of the table.
I nodded my head as I obeyed what he said. “I won’t waste a single time now, it’s late already.”
“Sure, why you wanted to talk to me?” I asked him. He rested his elbow on his table and looked at me seriously. “I know who really you are, you’re the
werewolf’s queen right? The alpha king’s mate?” that’s not really a question, a statement. I’m not shock anymore when he said that, I know they will know about it.
This world is not wide as what other see, it’s a small world actually. I stared at him for a few seconds before I decided to talk.
“I won’t lie, and that’s true.” I admitted. He nodded, “Glad to know that your honest. I don’t know what happened why you’re here instead of staying there. But you can stay here as long as you wanted because you’re one of us.” Oh, really? He won’t use me as a bait to take my mate down?
“We are not what you were thinking Harper, I’m tired of having war and chaos. Both side lose a lot of life already,” I agree.
“I’m here to end the chaos between vampires and werewolves.” I said that catches his attention.
“I admire your bravery but that’s not easy to do. It’s been a long time since Vampires and werewolves started to hate each other. Now, it’s very hard to make peace with them.” I nodded in understanding.
I know that, but it’s not that bad to try right? I’m the Alpha king’s mate, the crowned queen. I think I can do something.” He glanced at me.
“Surely, you can do something. But you can’t change his mind when you choose to come here instead of pursuing him there.” He got a good point, but I can’t end the alliance between the two if I don’t know the whole story.
“I know that, I come here to ask your help.” He sign me to continue talking. “Since you were the vampire king, you have the power to ask for peace talk with my mate. I’ll help you to change his mind,” I said. His brow furrowed,” Change his mind on what?” He still don’t know?
“To have war with you. I heard that he and his troop is marching towards here to seek revenge,” he looked even confused at what he said.
“What? What war? We don’t do anything to him. We are peacefully living in our own territory.” This time, I was the one who is confused. Hell? He got no idea on what happened, does that mean, he didn’t ordered to the attack the destroyed pack?
“There was an attack on Werewolf territory, it was caused by vampires. All of the persons in that pack died because of the attack. So now, my mate is planning to have his revenge.” I informed him. His brow furrowed even more, “I don’t understand, why would I start a war with him. No, I don’t do a such thing like attacking.” He strongly disagree.
“That’s what I know, I’m telling you this because I’m confused as well. I’m afraid, I can’t change his mind now to retreat. You should be ready,” I said. He slowly nodded his head, “Alright. I admire you for helping us.” I nodded.
“No worries, I just wanted peace and freedom.” For the first time, I saw him genuinely smiled.
“You’re a nice person, Harper.” Not really, only if he knew me.
“The same as you,” I response.
“Not good as what you think. Anyway, go ahead now. Thanks for your time. Just look for me if you needed something,” I nodded. Cool, “Sure. I’ll take my leave now then.” He just nodded so I bowed and started to leave.
They already knew who I am, but not what am I. This is really close from being discovered. I just wish, when they will learn to know the truth, history won’t repeat itself. I don’t want to lose those person who’s already important to me.
