Chapter 123 (Harper Alizah Grace’s POV)
“You send us a warning, what do you mean about that? Harper?” The king asked me seriously. I nodded and started to narrate what really happened.
“They captured me. I stayed there for how many days until I got the chance to escape. I heard that he was really planning to have a war for real. And I wanted you all to get ready. In my opinion, I think he’ll launch an attack two days from now.” I stated. Their face become serious.
“Did he hurt you?” My brother asked me. He did, but that is not the problem now.
“Don’t mind it, Troy. What important is I’m alive,” he nodded and didn’t ask about it anymore. He respect my decision.
“Anything else?” He asked me. I shook my head. “Please evacuate them all. I wish the innocence will not going to get involved in this war.” He nodded.
“No worries about that. Are you going to fight with us?” I nodded. Of course I am, I will be the one who will deal with him.
“I’ll deal with him, he’s mine on the battle.” My brother look at me, “That’s risky, Harper. What if you’ll di—” I raised an eyebrow.
“Trust me.” All he can do is to nod.
Zachary Vance Spencer’s POV
What did just I do? Why I let this happen? I closed my eyes tightly as my jaw clenched. It’s over between me and her now. I broke the bond, rejecting her for the third time.
Am I this kind of man? Am I this cruel. I… I didn’t want all of this to happen but I don’t have any better choice. I can’t choose both, I can’t abandoned my kingdom.
She’ll be alright without me in her life. I know someday she’ll find someone who will give her true happiness. Someone who never going to hurt her like I did. She doesn’t deserve me, she deserves someone better.
If letting her go can save her and the whole kingdom I will. Even if it will hurt me. I cause too much pain on her, I don’t want her to suffer in my hands anymore. I know she’s tired too, I know she wanted a life without pain just like I do.
I didn’t mean to hurt her, I can’t even control myself anymore. This is not me, I’m violent but I changed already. Since the day I saw her still cared about me even if I’m rude and cruel. She… she gave light into my dark world. She’s my only hope, my only love.

“Oh my god! Spencer! What are you doing?!” The door flew open and Keriza rushed towards me. She holds my hand but I just took it away and glared at her.
“Don’t touch me, you and your family is a piece of s*hit!” I cursed. She stiffed at my sharp voice. This is their fault, all they do is to manipulate me. And now manipulating is not enough, they were threatening me now. Making me choose between my mate and the whole kingdom.
They know that I can’t abandoned my kingdom, they always knew. Only if I can choose both, but I can’t.
She tried to hold me again, “You’re bleeding. Let me cure it,” her voice sound too soft. And I hate it, I despise her.
“Don’t bother, I don’t need your help. Get out of here before I’ll make you.” She nodded and leave without saying anything. She knew that I can hurt her, even if her mother is controlling me.
I don’t have my wolf now, that makes me weak. They sealed it, her mother put curse on me. Whenever my mate come closer. I’ll be a mad man. So, I choose to end the bond than to hurt or worse kill her.
I know what is she, she’s a tribrid. The one I’m looking for. I wanted to make it up to her, I wanted to asked forgiveness in behalf of my father. He did something terrible in that pack, the forgotten pack.

I rested my head on the wall and cry silently. This f*uc*king hurts, it’s so hard to think that every time I saw her, I wanted to pull her into a tight hug and tell everything to her.
How badly I wanted to kiss her and tell her not to cry. It’s very painful to see the disappointed and pain in her eyes. How badly sorry I am, but I… I can’t say nor do what’s going inside my head. I can’t even say a single sorry.

Harper Alizah Grace’s POV
“Harper, you have a letter. Here,” I heard Lisa said and hand me an envelope. My brow slightly furrowed, who send this? Out of curiosity, I open it and took out the letter.
Upon seeing the font, I already know who send it. It is from Amanda. “The troops started to marched towards the vampire kingdom. We can’t stop him anymore, be safe Harper. One more thing, the most important. I learned something unexpected and shocking. The king loses his wolf,” my brow furrowed even more in confusion. He loses his wolf? Why? I mean how? I read the next part.
“Someone cursed him, they sealed his wolf. He’s weak in this state, I think someone is manipulating him. He became just like that after they go back here with that Keriza b*itch, maybe she did something. I’m not really sure, but that’s only what I heard from my husband. Our conclusion came true when Lance saw personally that Keriza’s mother is a witch.” That ends the letter.
I blink twice. He loses his wolf, they were manipulating him, Keriza and her mother is a witch. I realized something, is it possible that he just hurt me because he’s actually protecting me? That’s so f*uc*king silly of him if yes!
Damn, the vampire knights also started to marched. They will go in the battle field than to risk the whole kingdom.
A few hours by now, the war will start. I need to hurry, I think there’s some misunderstanding here that I need to fix. I look on Lisa, “Are you going with me?” she blinked twice.
“To where?” She asked.
“In the battle field.” She look at me in confusion.
“In the battle field? Why?” I let out a sigh
“I need to be there. Let’s go!” yesterday, I changed my mind. I decided not to face him. But now, I needed too.
A few hours of running, we reached the battle field but the war started already. It’s very chaotic and messy. I saw them fighting hand combat, using swords and some of them already shifted into their werewolf form.
I saw my brother fighting two werewolves. And another werewolf was about to attack him from behind so I scream, “Behind you, brother!” He look on my direction shock but he quickly slay the werewolf behind him.
“What are you doing here? I thought you won’t go?!” He asked me while still fighting.
“This is not the right moment to chitchat! I’ll explain later!” As I said that I run fast and look for him. I stopped running when I feel his familiar scent, why I can smell him again? I shrugged my shoulder, that’s very weird.
I found someone who’s watching the war, he’s wearing black cloak. That’s him, I run towards his direction. I know he already saw me.
He remains standing on where he is, not even looking at me. I slowly walk closer and just stop when I’m behind him.
“Is it true?” I asked almost whisper.
“True what?” He questioned back.
“That you don’t have your wolf? That you were cursed?” he didn’t say anything, instead he look at me.
My eyes went down of his wounded hand, the cuts were still fresh. Is he hurting himself?
“Even if I do, does it change anything?” I look up him. His eyes is empty. I don’t know what’s going on inside his mind.
“See nothing will change, leave now Harper.” He hissed and turned his back on me again. My brow furrowed, his indeed acting strange. Why I just noticed that now.
I move even closer, I was about to touch him but he captured my hand and drop it.
“Don’t start with me, I already let you go. You should stay that way. Go!” I stared at him.
“You… you can tell me what’s wrong.” He laughed sarcastically.
“Tell you? Say what? Who are you in my life anyway?” I bit my inner lips. Right, who am I in his life, I’m not his mate anymore. You need to calm down, Harper, you still don’t know what’s going on with him. Is he cursed or not?
“Still, I wanted to know. You can tell me,” I still pursue him. He removed the hood of his cloak and stared at me.
“Please do leave, now that I can still control myself Alizah.” He called me Alizah.
“You still cared, you were really curse. Let me help you to uplift the curse, just let me..” I tried to touch him again but he slapped my hand.
“Don’t touch me, leave now. Please, I’m begging you…” something strange happening to him now, he seems like trying to control and preventing himself not to hurt me.
“No, I won’t. Just let me help you, Zach…” he shook his head harshly. “Stay away!” his grey yes turning red. In just a blink of an eye, he’s already choking me.
“I told you to stay away but you never listened!” I’m using strength to escape from his grip. I’m losing air, he’ll going to kill me.

He didn’t make a single move, he just stared at me while struggling my neck. This is hopeless, am I going to die like this? A tear escape from my eyes.
Unexpectedly, he let go of me. I catch up my breath while coughing. I saw him move away from me and started running. No, I’m still not done yet! I stand up and followed him.
“Stop running, Zach and talk to me!”
“Go away, Harper!”
“No, talk to me now!” as I said that I run fast and hop in his back. Because of my sudden action, he was caught of guard and stumble with me. The two of us rolled down on the dirt.
He was about to stand up but I stop him. “Don’t, tell me first. Are you cursed?” he closed his eyes.
“I am, and so what?” He snapped and stand up. He started to walk away from me, so he’s really cursed. Why he didn’t tell me, I will understand if he did.
I followed him again, “That bothers me.” I said causing him to stop and look back.
“If that bothers you, then why are you still following me? I don’t want to hurt you now, Alizah. Go away,” he was about to leave again but I hold his hand.
“They were manipulating you, you don’t mean to hurt me, don’t you?” He closed his mouth tightly.
“I’m right, am I?”
“So what?” In my conclusion, part of the curse is to hate me.
“You can tell me more.” He shook his head.
“I can’t. Just go now, you’ll be better without me.” He’s leaving again but I stopped him for the third time. A smile formed into my lips, I realized I’ve been too selfish. I’m just thinking about my sake, I didn’t picture the bigger one. He’s suffering in his own too.
“Come on look at me,” I told him. He didn’t look instead he look away. “Look at me.” I place both on my hand on his face and smile widely.
“True love never give up, Zach.” As I said that, I lean forward and kissed him. Something fairly tale happened, I closed my eyes and feel his lips. How I badly missed him.
A few seconds later, I felt him kissing me back and embraced me so tightly. “I’m so sorry my love, I… I didn’t mean to hurt you. I was forced to.” He was crying, he’s crying in my arm.
“What happened?”
“You lifted the curse, you bring my wolf back.” He answered and look in my eyes. I did?
“Yes you did, you never give up on me. You fought, the thing I didn’t manage to do—” I hashed him.
“Sshh, don’t talk anymore. We’re okay now.” I said and smiled of reassurance. He nodded and pulled me into a hug again.
“Let’s go back and stop the war. Make everyone pay later when we got back.” I told him. He nodded with pride.
“I will. I will make them pay.” That’s my man.
We are about to go back when I saw three man aiming an arrow on him. No! I quickly hug him again and switched our position. Three arrow hit my back, it hurts, feel like burning me inside. I realized, not just a simple arrow, an arrowed made of silver. Damn.
“You missed me that much in the way that you wanted to hug me all the time?” He joked. I smiled, didn’t show him what just happened. But then another three arrow hit my back again, this time I kneeled down and coughed blood.
“Alizah! No! Hold on love!” he yelled in agony and worry. I touches his face, I’m happy that he’s safe. Not until, someone hit his head with a big stone causing him to faint.
“Well it’s not over yet. Do you think the two of you can have the thing called happily ever after?” Keriza. This b*itch!
“Get him, I’ll deal with her.” She commanded to the three men. They took him away from me again, I forced myself to stand up to stop them but the silver arrow preventing me to move hard.
“Ops, not so fast b*itch. I know this one will happen, catching the arrows for him, how heroic. Tsk, anyway do you remember what you just did to me a few days ago?” Of course b*itch!
Before I can tell something, she kicked me hard on the stomach causing me to flew away from her. I groan in pain, only if there’s no silver in my body. I’ll kill this b*itch.
I forced myself to use some of my magic, I’m not letting her to bully me this way. Using my telekinesis ability, I throw her a stone. That landed on her forehead causing her to fall on the ground while whimpering.
I used that opportunity to run away, I can’t die right now. Unfortunately, I found myself in a cliff, I have nothing to run. Keriza and other werewolf is coming in my direction too. I closed my eyes and jump into the cliff. I wish I’ll still live after this.
