Chapter 124 (Harper Alizah Grace’s POV)
I was falling as fast as lightning speed. I’m hopeless right now, is this really the end? I closed my eyes to accept my faith.
Memories come across my mind, remembering the old times. I remember everything, since childhood until I grow up.
I remember the day when the first time I saw him. I was four back then, that was the first time they visited in our pack. It was my birthday.
Since that day, the two of us became friends. He always visited me, playing with me, and always making me laugh. He’s such a lovely man of my life before.
But then suddenly, he, they never visited me again. The first conflict in my life, my first sorrow. Downfall of my pack, the first bloody fight that I ever witnessed. The moment that’s my father was killed by his father. My father wanted me to escape so I did. I run fast for my life, I left them behind dying on the fire and being attacked by different persons who wanted to get me.
I did everything to survive, I learned to stand up on my own feet. And that’s when I met Amanda, my first long true friend. She helped me and gave me a reason to live with my choice and decision in life.
How many years had been passed, I just to hide my true identity to save those person who cared about me. I don’t want them to get hurt and just repeat the history.
So many unexpected event happen quickly. I found my mate, and he rejected me in our first met. He even exiled me and tell not to come back. But then I did, I wanted to live in peace but everything became complicated.
He searched for me, wanted to take me back. And he did, he bring me back into the Palace. He did everything to win my trust and he succeeded.
We’ve gone through different adventures together, helping the other pack to end the vicious rouge attack.
He marked me, and made me his queen. The queen of werewolf kingdom. He made me fall in love with his efforts and care. He taught me how to trust again.
We are happily in love, but there will be this someone who will destroy everything. That’s when Keriza showed up, she mess up everything we build together.
I leave the Palace and unexpectedly went into the Vampire kingdom where I found the missing piece of my life. The crown Prince is actually my brother, half-brother precisely.
And I met my mother, The person who abandoned me when I was a child. It wasn’t her choice to leave that time but that’s not enough reason for her not to look for me again.
Then the next events of my life became painful, my best friend Amanda just betrayed me. She gave me to them, to my mate who’s angry with me, to Keriza who hated my guts.
They nearly kill me, making me suffer. And they break the bond between me and him. I escape after the breaking of the bond the help of Lisa, to one who did me a big favor.
We go back into the Vampire kingdom to prepare for the war. I unexpectedly received a message saying that, he has a curse. Keriza and her mother cursed him. He was suffering too, he can’t even hold me when I’m near.
Then we broke the cursed, he got his wolf back. We thought it’s over but it’s not… We ended up like this, should I still fight? Should I?
My body fall into the water beneath cliff. The impact cause me to groan in pain, some water go inside my mouth too, it’s making me hard to breath.
This is not the end, I will fight for my life, I will take back what’s rightfully mine.
I slowly open my eyes, I found myself into an unfamiliar place. Where I am? I blink twice, I get off the bed and look around. This is not my room in the vampire kingdom, nor in the Werewolf kingdom.
My brow furrowed, maybe I should go out and find out what’s going on. I went on in the room and walk into the long hallway. Upon walking, I’ve noticed that I’m wearing white dress. Who might be dressed me?
Setting aside that thought in my mind, I just focused on walking. Hoping that I might encounter someone on the way.
A few minutes later, I saw a familiar face. Is this Lisa? She look at me when she notice me walking towards her direction. A big smile form in her lips.
“I see your awake now.” She said happily. My brow furrowed even more. “Where are we?” I asked her.
“Oh, we are on Witch Kingdom.” What? Witch Kingdom? Why are we here?
“You look confused, come on you need to see her.” Who?
“Just come on.” I nodded and followed her. We walk together in the hallway, and go downstairs.
“Do you remember what happened?” she asked me. I nodded, of course I know.
“What happened into the war?” I asked instead.
“The Vampires retreat when a bunch of werewolves arrived. Keriza and her family arrived with rouges under their control. It is very risky to fight back, they were too much.” I nodded.
“How long I’ve been asleep?” She glanced at me.
“Two weeks.” She said.
“Two weeks? That long?” she shook her head. “You’re lucky though, six silver arrow was found on your back. You are so weak when she found you.” Who found me?
“Oh, It was your mother who saw you lying almost lifelessly on the ground.” I blinked twice. What? She was the one who found me and helped me.
“I’m quite amuse and shock to know who you are.” I look at her again.
“What do you mean?” She just smile, “you will know when you meet her.”
“Don’t tell me we will go to my mother?” She shook her head.
“Nope, but you will meet her later. This time you will meet her Majesty.” does she mean, the witch queen?
“You were thinking it right.” Nice, I just woke up and now I will face the witch queen. This is impressively cool.
“Okay then, I would like to meet her too. Anyway, why are you here?” she just smile again.
“I’ll see yah later, cousin.” As she said that, she vanished in my eyes. I was left confused on my place. Did I hear her right, did she just call me cousin?
Shaking my head, I hold into the door knob and enter the room. As I get in, the first one I saw was a woman wearing purple dressed. She was sitting down on her throne, while looking at me.
She’s expecting my arrival, is she? She signed me to come closer to her so I did.
“You’re a grow woman now, Harper,” She know me? She smiled when she saw my reaction. She stood up on her throne and walk closer to me.
She unexpectedly pulled me closer and embrace me. “This is the first time I hold you my niece,” My brow furrowed in confusion. What? Niece? I’m her niece?
“Yes, my dear niece. Your mother is my sister, and Lisa, my daughter is your cousin. You are a part of the witch royalties also. You were a princess.” What? My mother is a princess, and also the queen of vampire kingdom.
“To make it clearer with you, your mother is my half sister. I’m a pure witch, while she was a hybrid. A witch-vampire. I know that you are mad to your mother. Come on child, I’ll tell you a story.”
“Have a seat.”
“It started when your mother found her mate, who is the king of vampires. They were mates, but they didn’t really love each other. The king fell out love and broke the bond. They had a child, the crown Prince right now. She didn’t mean to abandoned him but the king made her do it. Since we are still a child, I saw how hard my sister life is.” I was just listening to her, never dare to say anything.
“She leave the vampire kingdom and travel around the world alone. I told her just to stay here but she refuses. She told me that, what is the meaning of her life now that she can’t even hold her own son. She travel until she found your father. Your father give her another reason to live. He give life to her dark world. They fall in love together and they had you.” I don’t know but I’m starting to feel sorry for her. Did I judge her so fast, in the way that I never listen to her past?
“But then the history repeats itself again. He, your father made your mother leave you because she is a hybrid, not even a werewolf. It is not her choice to abandon you but she needed to do it.” This time, I couldn’t help but to ask.
“Then why she didn’t look for me when the pack is under attack?” She look at me, she thinks for a second before answering my question.
“This is not my story to tell but I will tell you. I wanted you to know that your mother became sick. She was in coma for ten years,” What? Why she didn’t tell that to me?
“When she woke up, she didn’t remember a single thing. Not even her own name.” I cover my mouth in shock. So that was happened.
“I’m not telling you this to earn your sympathy, I’m just telling the truth that you need to know. Your mother suffer a lot just like what you did. She just regained her memory 5 years after. Since that day, she have been searching for you but she couldn’t find you. You’re probably asking a lot of question in your mind. Go ahead dear ask me anything.” I look up her again and ask, “where is she right now?” I smile formed in her lips.
“I know very well that you know where you can find her.” She said meaningfully. Where I can find her? I asked myself.
I remember, the two of us used to stay either in the garden or in the kitchen but we stay a lot of time in the garden. I think I know where I can find her now.
“Could you tell me where is the garden?” I asked her.
“Lisa tell you where, go ahead dear look for your mother.” I gave her smile before nodding my head.
“Thank you, Your majesty.”
“Oh silly you, just call me aunt Louisa.” I nodded again. “Yes Aunt Louisa.”
As I said that, I went out into the throne room. “Done now? You probably know that your princess too.” Lisa told me.
Yeah, “Can you show me where is the garden?” I asked her. She nodded, “Of course, mother already told me. Come on, just follow me.”
“You know what I’m really shock when I learned that you my aunt’s Selene daughter.” Am I too, I’m shock.
“Aside from that. I conclude that your life is very complicated but cool. You are the werewolf king’s mate, the Crowned Prince sister, oh yeah he’s my cousin too. And lastly, you’re a witch princess too. You have connection on werewolf, vampire and witch royalties. That’s very cool.” She said bubbly. She’s right, coming here solved the last missing piece of my life.
“Anyway, here we are. Good luck Harper,” She said in a smiled, I smiled back.
“Thank you.” I replied. I walk inside the garden, and look for my mother. I think I over her a sorry. I’m too selfish have to know what happened to her in the past. I didn’t give her a chance to explain her side.
Now, I should give her a time to explain. Just like my brother did, he forgave her. And I think, my father also forgave her a long time ago.
I go deeply into garden, I saw a woman watering the plan, nurturing it with love. I slowly move closer to her and hug her back.
“I’m sorry mother.” I whispered. She was a little shock at my appearance, but then she turned around and hugged me back. “You’re awake now, I’m happy to see you okay.” She said softly while
caressing my hair. At this moment, I couldn’t help but to cry in her arms.
“I’m sorry,” I repeated.
“Look at me,” She put her two hands on my cheeks and made me look at her. “Don’t be sorry. I bet my sister tell you everything. It’s not your fault, no one is at fault. Everyone did mistakes, but not everyone make it right. But I wanted to make it up to you. I’m sorry I found you late, if only I could bring back the past, I won’t going to leave you, my daughter.” I sob, and hug her tightly.
“I’m so sorry, I didn’t give you a chance to explain. I’m too selfish,” She hugged me tightly.
“It’s not being selfish, you’re just hurt. You live in the dark alone without me nor your father. You’re brave Harper, you made me proud.”
“Don’t cry anymore, I’m here with you always. Let’s start over again, stay here and we will live happily with you aunt and cousin.” I break the hug and look at her eyes. I slowly shook my head, “Even if I wanted to, I can’t. Are you still have unfinished business to end.” She just look at me, letting me the talk.
“I wanted to take back what’s rightfully mine. I’ll make everything’s right, I’ll make this world in peace.” I said in determination.
My mother put her hands on my shoulder, “you have my support. I’ll help you to do it.” I smile.
“Thank you, mother.”
“No worries, I won’t to stop you. All I can do is to support you in your decision. You’re big enough to decide on what you were going to do. But, be careful I don’t want to lose you anymore.” I nodded my head.
“Got it.” She smile. “It’s good to be okay with you my daughter. Let’s go,
I will cook something for you.” just like the old days, me and my mom, cooking in the kitchen.
“Let’s go.”
This will be the new beginning, I hope I won’t fail.
