Chapter 107 (Harper Alizah Grace’s POV)
I looked on the doorway when someone suddenly knocked on the door. I teleported there to see who knocked, there I saw a petite woman.
“Hi, Are you Miss Harper?” She asked me with her sweet voice. I nodded my head, “Umm Yes.” I replied. Her smile widened, “Nice, the king were calling for your presence. He said he wanted to talk to you.”
O, I see.
“May I know where is he?” I asked her. She nodded, “Yes, please follow me.” As she said that, she sign me to follow her. I closed the door behind me before following her.
“If your wondering I’m Fiona, One of the maids here.” She introduced herself.
“Nice to meet you Fiona, I’m Harper.”
“I know, you’re quite famous here because of you beauty,” I look at her in confusion, what?
“Really?” She nodded.
“That’s true. Since the moment you showed up on the prince’s birthday, you got everyone’s attention. You’re extraordinary because you tamed the prince that easily,” she said with admiration in her voice. That’s just a small thing, and not really hard to do.
Uriel is a charmer, having that bubbly personality.
“It’s not what you think, I’m not that special.” I said to her and smile.
“I think, no, you’re special. You won’t get the Royalties attention if your not.
Anyway, the king is on that room. I can’t accompany you any longer,” I nodded in understanding. I tapped her shoulder, “Just fine, thanks for guiding me.” She smiled.
“My pleasure.” She said and turned her back on me and started to walk away. While me, I let out a sigh and decided to walked closer the door and knocked three times.
“It’s open, come in.”
After opening the door, I saw him sitting on his swivel chair while looking at me.
“Please take a seat.” I nodded and sat down.
“You called for me? why?” I asked directly.
“Yes, I wanted to discuss something to you. I nodded and sign him to continue. “I have an update about your mate’s troop, they were near the territory now.” My brow furrowed.
“Where they camped?” I asked him seriously.
“West territory, near the liver.” He answered.
“What do you think they were planning?” I asked him again. He et out a sigh and leaned back.
“I don’t know. He’s unpredictable, but in case if he wanted a war, we are ready.” I slowly nodded.
“Do you have any plan?” He nodded, “I have. I wanted to talk to him peacefully than having a war. I’m willing to lower down my pride than to risk the whole kingdom.” That’s so kind of him, unselfish king.
“Did you already made a move?” He once again nodded.
“Yes, I commanded a messenger to give a letter to him. I’m expecting his response this afternoon.” I see, so what should I do now?
“If ever he’ll replied, I wanted you to talk to him. Convince him not to have war on us,” he said. I bit my inner bottom lip. Even if I wanted to, I’m afraid that he will never going to listen to me. “Let me see what I can do.” That’s the only thing I replied.
“That’s just fine, I know it’s hard for you to face him again.” Yes, it’s hard. I don’t have any face to show after what I did. I’m very wrong in the part that I lied on him.
Then realization hits me, I lied… just like what my mother did. But we are not the same, she lied and love two men. She created a mess, abandoning her own children, making things complicated. I’m not like her, I lied because I’m protecting anyone, I lied to help others even if it is hurting me a lot. But what I can do, it’s on the past, I can’t change it. All I can do is to make everything right this time. I will correct the mistakes we created in the past, I will achieve the peaceful and happy life I dreamed. Even it is hard to do and to make come true.
The two of us look on the door when someone knocked, the door opened and we saw Wil entering.
“Someone found this on the gate. I think, it was from the alpha king.” He seriously said as he handed letter above the table. All of us stared on it, yeah, it’s indeed from the king. I saw the werewolf seal.
“Did you already read it?” Wil shook his head, “No, I wanted you to be the first one who will read.”
“Alright, Harper, do the honor.” I blink, what, me? He nodded to confirm. Okay then, I slowly took the letter on the table and read it carefully. My brow slightly furrowed, impressively, he can still be this kind and considerate.
I look at the two, they were waiting on what I will going to say.
“He agreed. They will be here tonight, but he left a warn, don’t provoke and set him up.” I said. They nodded their head, “He have my word, no violence.” That’s great to hear.
“Did he mention what time?” Wilson asked me.
“No exact time but tonight, but I think he’ll be here around eight to ten.” I answered.
“Right, you can go now Harper. Prepare for tonight,” I nodded and stood up. “Alright then.” I glanced on Wilson and give him a nod. He nods back, “Don’t worry, he can’t hurt you and he’ll be surely surprise to see you here.” He said to me. I know, I know that one. “Indeed.” I answered before nodding once again and talking my leave. I closed the door and temporary stopped walking to let out a sigh.
S, there will be a peace talk then. I hope the result will be alright, that there’s no war, only peace. Talking a deep breath, I started to walk towards my room.
There’s one thing in my mind that is bothering me, how will I face him tonight? What will he react? Shock just like Wilson said? Or He’ll act like he doesn’t know me at all?
I don’t know.
“Calm down Harper, just go with the flow.” Right, just go with the flow.
Whatever will happen later tonight, just calm down.
“Go and have a run, it will help you to calm down, Harper.” I heard Wendy suggested. She’s right, “Venice, take over then.”
“Gladly.” I walked towards the terrace and jump. When I reached the ground floor, I started to run faster. Letting half of my speed work. Wendy is right, the adrenaline rush was helping me to calm down.
A few minutes had been passed, I found myself above the tallest tree in my sight. Watching the sun setting down. The color of the sky were beautiful, the combination of yellow, orange and red. It’s very relaxing stares at.
I Wish my life is peaceful like this, but sadly it’s not. Taking a deep breath, I closed my eyes as I feel the cold breeze touching my skin. It’s been a long time since the last time I did this.
I decided to go back when It’s already dark outside. The sun was finally replaced by the moon. I used my ability teleportation to go back quickly, when I reached my room, I saw Troy and Samantha inside, what are they doing here?
They still didn’t notice me, it looks like they were talking into something so important. I faked a cough to get their attention, and t works.
“Harper!” Sam exclaimed in shock.
“Sorry, but what I can do for the both of you?” I asked them. Troy seriously stared at me, “The Alpha King will be here in ten minutes.” I blinked, that fast?
“Alpha king?” Samantha asked in confusion. Oh yeah, she still don’t know.
“The werewolf king.” He replied. “Yeah I know, but why Harper needs to know that?” I let out a sigh.
“Because I know him.” That makes her look at me.
“I will answer your questions later, let me take a bath first.” I cut her off when I saw that she wanted to talk. I look on Troy, “Thanks for informing me. I will talk to you later too, after the peace talk.” I told him, he just nodded. “Alright, well go ahead now then.” I nodded.
“Come on.” He said to his mate and literally drag her. I couldn’t help but to smile, they look so cute together, match made from heaven eh? Shaking my head, I chuckled.
“Why he come here earlier than I expected, geez.” I murmured before going inside the bathroom.
