Chapter 110 (Harper Alizah Grace’s POV)
When I wake up in the morning, there’s a big smile on my face. I yawned as I look on the person beside me, he’s still sleeping peacefully. I remove his hand on my tummy carefully for me not wake him up. I caress gently his face, he’s so handsome.
“I’m glad we’re okay now, I hope I convince you too to end the alliance between the werewolves and vampires.” I thought. I decided to go out to breath some fresh air.
The cold breeze quickly touch my skin as I go out. I let out a sigh, it’s still dark outside, maybe three in the morning. There are some warriors roaming around the place, making sure that there’s no one who’s spying or attack them.
“Well, well, well. You’re really here, the traitor.” I almost jump in shock when someone suddenly talked behind me. From its voice, it’s Keriza. Here we go again, I whispered as I turn around. I faked a smile and walk closer to her.
“Not really, I’m not a traitor, maybe you?” I asked and grinned. She smirked, “Coming from you,” she walk closer to me and whispered something in my ear.
“You might be good in good term with him right now, but don’t you ever think—” I look at her intently, “Think what?” I challenged her. She grinned devilishly, “Think that he don’t really love you and just take you for granted.” This time, the grin in my face widen.
“How pity, but last night he just tell that he loves me,” I tapped her shoulder. “And if ever he just take me for granted, why do you care? It’s none of your business.” I said as I smirked. Her cheeks slightly burn into anger, “Yeah, why do I care. You’re mate is just my first love, and I don’t care about him.” She said sarcastically. I wanted to laugh at her, but I didn’t.
“You’re so pathetic, Keriza. You’re chasing someone who don’t even love you.” She went silent, did I got it right. She crossed her arm on her chest, “The hell you care?”
“I don’t have any care.” I saw how her fist turned white. Triggered already? “You know what Keriza, I know that you have past with my mate, and to emphasize it. Past, meaning to say the two of you is already done.” I fake a smile.
“Fix your life, don’t interfere with the life we have. We don’t need your opinions,” as I said that, I was about to start walking but she stopped me.
“Stop!” I stopped walking. “What?”
“Watch your back, Harper. We are not over yet. I will find something against you!” Is that a threat? I smile, “I would like to see you try.” With that, I walk away from her.
She’s pitiful, I shook my head and walk inside the forest near the camp site to have a run. Since they knew that I’m a vampire, I can freely use some of my power now. While I’m running, I remember something that makes me stop from running.
“She’s Wilson hated mate.” That echoed in my mind. I blinked twice, if she’s Wilson’s mate and she’s my mate’s first love does that mean… the dead child is my., my mate’s child? No it can’t be. How Keriza became Wilson’s mate? She’s a werewolf. There’s something very odd about that.
“I’ll will know the answer later.” I murmured and started to run again but damn, something is wrong, why I can’t find my way back? I looked around the place, the sun is rising now. I need to go back now before he will think that I leave again, geez that will be surely a big problem.
“Why I can’t go back? is this a trap? an illusion?” I whispered. I stop walking and inhaled deeply, I need to think. I’m sure now, this is indeed an illusion. Is this a magical forest prohibiting anyone to go out? Someone set an illusion to me?
I walk closer into a tree and leaned there, I bit my inner lip, this is hopeless. Maybe I should try using my power? But I think it’s risky, someone might be watching me now. I let out a sigh, what should I do now then, I don’t want to waste my time for walking.
Then suddenly, I feel an arrow coming from my direction, I didn’t noticed it quickly because my mind is thinking something else. The dodged the arrow but it cuts my arm a little. By the moment my eyes started to get blur, I know, there’s a poison on the arrow.
Damn, my body fell on the ground. But before my eyes finally closed, I saw someone walking towards my direction.
“Weak.” that person murmured. Whoever are you, I will find you later and make you pay. Then everything went black.
When I open my eyes, I found myself into a unfamiliar place, lying on a soft and comfortable bed. Where I am? My brow furrowed in confusion. The last thing I remember, I faint on the woods. Then why I am here now? did someone took me?
“You’re awake now.” I quickly look on the door way. There I saw the woman I can’t call mother. Is she the one who took me? I close my palm tightly as I stared at her. “Why I am here?” I asked coldly.
“Is that the way you treat your mother?”
She don’t have the right to ask me that. “Is it right to act normal after what you did? I questioned back. She went silent, she looked shocked by what I said. “No, but I’m trying to make everything right. Specially on you, I have a lot of things to explain. All I need is your time and willingness to listen.” I averted my gaze out of her and slowly sat down on the floor.
“Alright, I’ll let you explain but answer this first. Why I am here?” I ask again as I massage my neck, why it hurts?
“I found you alone in the middle of the woods unconsciously, and take you here.” I nodded, I see. “What time is it?”
“Eight in the morning.” She answered. I’ve been unconscious for maybe three hours. H’s damn worried about me again. I let out a sigh, “Alright, you only have an hour to explain.”
“Thank you for giving me a change. Ask me and I’ll answer,” I look at her, is she sure about that? Will she ever answer each of my question? I will see.
“Did you ever love my dad?” I’m not really sure about that, if she really love him, she will convince him to let her visit us even once a month. But she didn’t, she choose to give up and leave permanently.
“I do, I love your father so much that’s why we had you,” I smile without joy. “You don’t love him enough. But yeah, I will believe what you say. I can see that you once made my father happy, I’m thankful with that.” She look down, got hurt with my words? She deserves it.
“Then you don’t love us enough for you to help us when they attack the pack? You don’t even look for me when my father died, you don’t even show up to cry on his dead.” I couldn’t help but burst out my anger. I’ve been keeping this pain in my heart for how many years, I’m trying to heal alone but I know I can’t. I know that I need someone who will explain why? need someone who can help me to heal.
“Look how selfish you are, you just think about yourself.” She look up and hold my hand. “It’s not what you think, I don’t
know…” I pulled my hand on her grip and laughed sarcastically. Is she just said that she don’t know? Is she f*uc*king kidding me?
“Don’t give me that I don’t know reason because I know that you know. My father was a Alpha, the vampires was there too and you’re telling me that you don’t know? That’s bulls*hit!” I yelled in anger. She look down even more, “I really don’t know, I just know two days after the attack. And I looked for you, I just can’t find out.” Did she hear herself?
“How long did you find me? One day? A week? If you really look for me, you’ll find me. The world we are living is a small world. You’ll find me if you wanted too.”
“I don’t have enough time, I’m sorry.” I shook my head in disbelief, I can’t believe her.
“Alright, I heard what I wanted to hear for now. If my brother forgave you already, then I admired him. You have a son who loves you even if you leave him, but then you don’t deserves his love.” As I said that, I stood up.
“Neither mine. Don’t worry, I’m not that hard, just hope that I’ll forgive you someday.” that was my last word before going out the room. When I’m already outside, I notice that we are inside the secret paradise. In my memory, this is just near the west territory. I can go back in the camp site for less than an hour.
I hope that he’s not mad, but damn I know he is. Leaving a sigh, I started to run. The life I had is damn complicated. Only if I can make my own destiny. I slow down running when I saw three man on my way, they were intently making me stop.
“Do we have any problem here?” I asked them. “There is, Harper, the werewolf king’s mate, right?” how did they know? I took a step back, I don’t want to cause ay problem here.
“We almost capture you a moment ago but that b*itch help you and killed my brother.” That b*itch? they mean her? So, she lied, she actually saved me.
“Why you wanted to get me?” I asked him calmly. He smirked, “You’re a big bait. Having the connection both of the werewolves and vampires. You’re surely an important person. We can use you to seize the two kingdom.” Oh, this three men is a rouge, a vampire rouges? I get it.
I looked at them with amusement, “How sure you are? I’m not that special. I don’t even know what you are talking about the connection.” I denied. All of them burst into laughter, “Do you think we are dumb to believe you? We are watching you for how many days now, Harper.” I see.
“What do you know about me then? I challenged them. They stopped laughing, that makes me smirk. If they were thinking I’m afraid of them, well they’re wrong.
“It’s look like the information you knew about me is not enough. I’ll gave you one, if there’s only the three of you who is giving me a threat, you all better leave now.” They burst into a laughter again.
“Damn, this woman is hilarious. She really think she can fight us back? haha, But no, we’re not alone, young girl.” Then slowly, more than twenty men show up behind them. Just like what I’m thinking.
“Will yah still fight back?” the man in the middle asked while smirking. I will but no, I will go with them and gather information before killing them all.
“Alright, I’ll come.” I answer that caught them off guard. Not expecting me to agree that quick eh? Their faces were hilarious. “But don’t expect me to help you in your plan. And who know, maybe I’m not really important both of the two kingdom, your plan will be void.” I said and smirk.
“I love your gut, girl. Go and get her,” He commanded to his men. I let them capture and tied up my hands. Mission failed, I can’t come back to him now. something suddenly happened. What a life, I thought hopelessly.
They bring me into their head quarter, it looks like a underground dungeon, the smells stinks. “Tied her up there,” The man pointed the chair in front of the torture table. They were planning to torture me? Amazing, I commented in amusement.
“Are you the boss? I asked the man as the tied me up on the chair. He smirked, “No, I’m not. But I’m their appointed leader.” Aww, that’s so sad. He’s just following someone’s order. “May I know who’s the leader, maybe I’ll change my mind and help you.” I said and smirked.
“Nice try, but no. Bring out the weapons,” he commanded to his man. I see, he’s loyal like a dog to its owner. I playfully smirk formed into my lips when I saw his men bring out the torture materials. They were really going to torture me? Haha, how funny, they were just making fun of themselves.
“You won’t get hurt if you’ll tell us what going on? what are they planning to do?” Do he think I will answer that? Not in a million years. I remained silent, “Okay, you choose not to talk.” I watched him get a dagger on the table.
“How can I answer if even I, I don’t know what they were planning?” I asked him. “I know you know something, woman. Don’t joke with us.” I raised eyebrow. “You think I’m joking? Why would I joke?” I asked innocently. He narrowed down his eyes on me as he walked closer.
“I’m f*uc*king serious here, what are they planning to do?” He asked again. “I don’t know, I told you already, I don’t know!” They were so funny too mess up. “Why don’t you just abduct the kings instead of me? Do you think I know what’s going on in their mind?” I said sarcastically.
No, I know what they were planning to do. It’s a bad news on the rouges, the two kingdom was planning to be at peace. If the two kingdom will have a war, it’s much easier for the rouges to take the two kingdom down.
“Don’t give that bulls*hit, woman.” He grabbed my cheeks and made me look at him in the eye. “Just tell us what you
know.” I slowly smirked and stared back. This is kinda boring.
“What I know?” I asked. He let go of me, “yes.” He answered impatiently. “What I know is… tell to your leader to quit. Seizing the two kingdom is a suicide, do you think they will give up their throne that easily? And you will use me to do that? Nah, not possible.” I said honestly.
A strong slap touches my cheeks causing me to tilt my head sideward, Did he just hit me? I look back at him, and smirk. He dared to hit me. “Does it hurt?” he ask me, mockingly. I shook my head, I taste blood on my lips but it doesn’t matter.
“No, it’s not. But does it gives you pleasure?” I asked him. He laughed and look at his men, “Did you hear here? Does hurting her gives us pleasure?” he asked them, all of them laugh with him and yelled yes. Sure, it does gives them satisfaction. But would they still laugh like that when I will be the one who will hurt them?
I doubt it. I laughed too, causing them to stop laughing and look at me. “What’s funny, woman?” He asked me but I still laughed hard.
“Stop! stop laughing!” I grinned and look at him. “Does my laugh bother you?” He glared at me. I took a deep breath, “I made a mistake for coming here. You guys is a bunch of vampires who’s not thinking right. How sad this kind of some boring moment of my life. And to make it exciting…” I paused and smirked. I vanished right in front of them, I teleported to their leader’s back and whispered.
“You messed up with the wrong person.”
As I said that, I gave him a strong kick. That’s for slapping me. Everyone was shock on what I did, but the hell I care, it is just the start. I look around to see if they were complete inside, and I’m right they were.
I looked all of the windows and doors, not letting anyone to go out. Slowly, I unleased the power inside of me that I’ve been keeping for how many years. It’s just fine to show this true power of mine now, because no one will know, all of them will be dead.
A sinister smirked formed into my lips, this is me, a killing machine. An asset that everyone wanted to have for their personal matters. A tribrid who can kill just a snap. I look on their leader who regained his consciousness.
Looking directly in his eyes, I smirked and teleported beside him. “What the hell, how?” How? I hold his shoulder and looked directly in his eyes. I’m burning him alive right now. The scream of agony sounds like a music into my ear.
I’m not supposedly doing this right now but they provoked me. They needed to eliminate, they will just cause chaos, I won’t let them to use me to start a war.
“Stop! please!” It’s too late, I let go of his body. I watched him burned into ashes, “Ahhh!!”
I looked behind me when I feel someone tried to stabbed me with a knife. Looking into his eyes,
“Kill yourself.” I commanded. even if he don’t want to do it, he slit his own throat. Weak creatures.
“You’re a monster!” I glanced on the person who said. “You’re not sure about that, you don’t even see the real me.” I smirked.
“You’re still a monster, no one can kill that quick.” I raised an eyebrow. “Because I’m different.” I said while walking towards his direction. I saw fear in their eyes, afraid of death? They were so pathetic.
“No one will stay alive now, no one.” with that, I kill them one by one. I stared on my hand full of blood, I got no wounds but I’m batting with their bloods. I’m slightly tired, I think I use my power again too much.
I watched their head quarter in fire before leaving.
