Chapter 99 (Harper Alizah Grace’s POV)
Dear, Harper
I wrote this letter to inform you what exactly happened after you leave. Just like what we expected to happen, he’s really hurt and beyond mad. He almost kill two of the warriors who tried to calm him down when he realized that you actually leave him, again. He shut everyone out of his life, including his relatives. Yesterday, something happened again. There’s an surprise attacks in one of the packs near the boarder wherein everyone in that place died. It was caused by the vampires, they starting to attack us. I know this sounds crazy but Harper are you really serious that you still wanted to make the two clan in peace? I mean, because of the vampires did, the werewolf king is mad, really mad now. He planned to seek revenge for have war with the werewolves too?
But why? I needed to make a move now.
Shaking my head, I burn the letter using my power. I close my eyes and leaned back on the couch, is there anything much worst than this? Another sigh escape from my lips, I decided to stand up and prepare myself for the event tonight. Right, the birthday celebration of the king’s son.
I go inside the bathroom and took a bath. It’s getting dark outside already, according to the invitation card, the event will start eight o’clock in the evening.
I wonder how old is the king’s son already? I will know it tonight. A few hours later, I’m done preparing. I’m wearing the dress we bought in the shop a while ago. Looking at my reflection in the mirror, I look like a seductress. But there’s something missing, I narrowed down my eyes to think. Right, dark lipstick. I applied one on my lips.
As I look on my reflection again, a satisfying smile crept into my lips. Almost perfect. I just let my hair down. I clapped my hand twice and smile. Finally done.
I get my purse on the table and go outside the house. But before i leave, I locked it first. I walked towards my car, I was about to get in but I heard someone called my name.
“Harper, going out?” Celestine asked me. I looked back, I saw her with her husband behind them. They were wearing formal attire too, in my guess, they probably will go in the palace.
“Yeah, in the palace. Unexpectedly got invited.” I causally answered. Celestine’s lips formed into an O’shape.
“Oh, I see. Me and my husband will go there too.” Just like what I thought.
“That’s so nice,” I replied with a smile. “Yeah, it is. We won’t hold you any longer, it looks like you’re going now. We will see each other there,” she said. I nodded my head.
“See you two there.” The two of them nodded their head.
“See yah.” As they said that, I nodded once again and get inside the car. While on the way, I was thinking about the letter that Amanda has sent to me.
He’s marching with his troop now, is he really planning to have a war? I bit my inner lips, damn, if he is, it is a big problem. How can I make the vampires and werewolves in good terms when they wanted to have war? Geez, they were so thirsty for blood and violence.
I shook my head and sigh, this situation is giving me a lot of head ache.
A few minutes had been passed, I finally reached the gate of the palace. One of the men in front opened the gate after seeing the invitation card that I’ve shown to them.
“Enjoy the party, Miss.” I nodded and smile a little.
“Thanks.” I drove the car again until i reached the front door. One of the battler ask me for the car’s key for him to park the car, “Here it is, thank you.” I thanked him.
“My pleasure, my lady.” He replied politely. I just nodded and faced the entrance hall.
There’s a lot of photographer around, I don’t know but when they saw me, they took a lot of photos. Damn, I’m not even part of the Vampires royalties.
“Harper, I’m glad that you arrived now. Shall I escort you inside?” I was slightly caught off guard when Wil suddenly shown beside me. Maybe this is the reason why they were talking a lot of pictures because of my reaction.
“Just kidding, I don’t have twin brother, but yeah, I do hate her. For a lot of reason.” I blinked once.
“Like what?” I asked casually. “For killing her own daughter.” He answered seriously. What?
“She’s pregnant when I found her, out of her stupidity, her daughter died inside her. She’s a s*lut you know, how funny it is. I have to have a mate like her.” That’s… I don’t know what will I say but wow.
“She’s letting another man to have her even if she already found me.” He continued. I don’t want to be judgemental but that’s really wrong and painful in his part.
“But it’s okay now, I let go of her. I know she can’t love me, and I can’t love her too.” I bit my inner lip. That’s brave of him, letting go of someone if it really hurts.
“Did you ever love her?” I asked him.
He look at me and slowly nodded, “I tried. But she’s too much.” I understand him.
“Anyway, we should don’t talk about her. She’s probably happy with her new lover.” His love story is much painful than I. But I’m afraid, my mate is thinking the same now.
Maybe right now, he’s calling me a b*itch too for leaving him and for lying.
“Here we are, your friend, Samantha has been arrived a few minutes ago. She’s probably… Yeah there, with her mate, the prince.” He said as he pointed where they are. I followed the direction he pointed. He’s right, they were just a few meters away from us. “You can go there, but I’m afraid I can’t join you. I needed to accompany the other visitors. Enjoy the party.” He told to me.
“That was just fine, thanks for accompanying me, Wil.” He smiled and nodded.
“My pleasure.” I smiled back. He’s not that bad like what I thought, he’s actually nice. I shrugged my shoulder and decided to approach Samantha. “Samantha!” I called for her attention. She look at my direction and quickly smile when she saw me.
“You’re already here!” I am. I stopped walking when I’m near at them. “Yeah, greetings your highness.” I greeted the prince. Even if I’m not part if this kingdom, I still need to respect him though.
He nodded to acknowledge me, I don’t know why he’s staring at me. “Is there something wrong?” I asked him.
“Nope, you just look familiar to me.” Double meaning? Did he already saw me before?
“Oh, I remember it now. You’re the girl two years ago in the human world.” What? I don’t understand him. “You probably don’t remember this but I saw you that night help a poor and weak child that I was about to save.” Huh? I blinked, I don’t really remember. Butthen suddenly, realization hits me.
Two years ago, in the short and dark alley. One child has been nearly murdered by a vampire, but it was stopped by me. After killing the two Vampires, I felt a powerful aura. Maybe that was coming from him. That make sense now.
“I do remember, so it was you.” He nodded.
“Yeah, it was me. I was about to approach you that time but you suddenly vanished and cannot be seen again.” That moment, someone see me use my power and ability. Geez, so careless of me.
“Oh come on, you two actually know each other?” the two of us look on Samantha. Is she listening or not? “We’re not mate, I just saw her,” Her mate corrected her. Just like what I’m thinking. I laughed lowly, “He just saw me and I just feel his presence but actually don’t see him.” I second the motion.
Samantha pouted, “Right, sorry I’m not really listening, so silly of me.” She said and made a peace sign. “I’m glad you know that,” her mate murmured. Samantha quickly look at him, “That’s so bad of you. Hmp, Harper let go. He’s being rude to me again.” So silly of her.
“Nah, stay with him. I’ll go and roam around while the event is not starting yet.” She nodded her head.
“Alright, just don’t go too far. You’ll might get lost.” I smirk at her, doesn’t she know that I’m good at directions. And I used to live a places like this. “Believe me I won’t.”
“Alright then, be right back here later.” I nodded.
“I will.” As I said that, I started to walk away from there. I don’t want to be their third wheel tonight, let them enjoy each others accompany.
