Chapter 103 (Harper Alizah Grace’s POV)
“Are you enjoying your food, Rie?” His uncle Troy asked him. I looked on Uriel’s direction, he was happily eating the food I choose for him to eat. He said a while ago that he’s not really fond of spicy food, but look at him now.
Rie nodded his head as he smiled widely, “Yes uncle.” We’ve been here in the city for less than two hours. We didn’t come here by ourselves. Of course, we have guards who’s watching over us a hundred meters away.
Uriel is the next king of the vampires, and Troy in the other hand is the crowned prince. Although, if someone will attack us we can take care of it, but for the royalties safety, we agreed to have guards. But still even if we disagreed, they will still come because it is the king’s order.
“That’s great. Where do you want to go next?” He asked him. Uriel temporary stopped eating and acted like as if he was thinking.
“I still don’t know yet, hmm… Harper, do you have any idea?” He suddenly asked me. I blinked twice, well, I have no idea because I’m just new here. I shook my head, “I don’t have, maybe, Sam knows some exciting place.” I answered honestly.
Samantha quickly looked at me then to Rie who’s looking at her, “Aunt Sam, you have?” He asked her.
“Hmmm, I have but it’s quite far here. Do you want to go in the Secret Paradise?” Uriel’s eyebrow furrowed. “Secret Paradise?” he repeated. This is the first time I heard about that place too.
“Yeah, it’s a private place owned by some anonymous person. I’ve been there two times already, and I can say it’s very fun to go there, well if you love farms.” She explained. Oh, I see. Somewhat exciting then.
“I want to go there, I love fruits and vegetables!” Rie exclaimed, excitement can be heard in his voice. That makes the three of us smile, he’s such a charmer.
“Great, finish your food then and we will go there.” Troy told to him.
“Sure, Uncle.” he happily replied. I just continue eating too, and sigh silently. I feel restless and I don’t know why.
Maybe, I’m sensing something but I just can pin point it.
I slowly stood up, the three of them looked at me. “Is there any problem, Harp?” Sam asked me. I shook my head and smile a little.
“Oh, nothing. I’ll just going in the comfort room, after I’ll come back, we are ready to go.” I answered.
“Do you want me to go with you?” Sam asked again.
“No need, I can manage. Finish up your meal, you barely touch it.” She looked on her plate then to me.
“Right.” She agreed. I nod and adjust my chair. Before I started to leave, I playfully wink on Rie. He grinned widely then later giggled. I just couldn’t help but to chuckle.
“This will be just quick, I’ll be back as soon as possible.” They nodded their head, when I saw then nod, I walked way and find the nearest comfort room.
A few minutes later, I found myself staring on the mirror. Something is wrong, I can feel it. But what it is? It started last a few hours ago when I was taking a bath. My mind is in chaos, I can’t calm down totally.
I took a deep breath and sigh as I closed my eyes. Calm down, Harper, nothing wrong will happen today. I was about to open my eyes but didn’t happen because I saw something in my mind. It’s a vision on what will happen.
There will be a woman, her mate on the vampire kingdom, then a bloody fight and lastly will cry in pain and agony. I hold on to the comfort room’s sink tightly as I tried to calm down myself again. What was that? Who is the woman she see? Her mate on the Vampire kingdom? what is he doing there? Is he really wanted to start a war? Is that the reason why there’s a bloody fight and will be the cause of her pain?
The vision she is not complete, like there’s something missing. I took a deep breath and opened my eyes, I was shocked to see that I’m crying. Why I’m crying? I quickly wiped the tears on my eyes. If that vison will really happen, I don’t know what to do, maybe I’ll just go with the flow.
After a few minutes of calming myself, I decided to go back. There, I saw them already done eating, they were just waiting for me.
“There she is,” Troy was the first one who noticed me. Samantha and Uriel looked on my direction, as soon, Uriel saw me, he half-run towards my direction.
“Harper, Harper!” He energetically yelled my name. I chuckled and messed up his hair.
“Yes? already missed me?” I teased him. He playfully slap my hand out of his hair and glared at me.
“Sorry to destroy your fantasy, but no I don’t miss you.” He replied which causes me to giggle.
“Sure you don’t, anyway, do you need something?” I asked.
“Nothing, I just wanted to be close to you.” Haha, that’s so cute of him.
“You’re close to me now.” I answered. He pouted and playfully hit my arm, “That’s not what I mean. I wanted you to carry me.” What? Carry him? When he saw my reaction, he laughed.
“I’m just kidding haha. Let’s go now, I’m excited to go in the secret Paradise.” I sigh in relief, I really thought I’ll carry him. He’s big boy now.
“Sure, let’s go.” I offered my hand on him and he quickly took it. This child is having soft spot on me, and I don’t mind it at all.
We head out to the prince’s car, from the side mirror, I saw the guards get inside their car too, ready to follow us. “Ready to go?” Troy asked us.
“I’m ready Uncle!” Uriel exclaimed. “Yeah ready.” Sam and I replied, a few seconds later, he started the engine of the car and droved off.
“This will be an hour trip,” Troy informed us while he is driving. I see, it’s a long trip then.
“Can I sleep while we are on the way?” Uriel asked.
I look at him, “Are you sleepy?” I asked him. He nodded and yawned.
“Yeah, kind of. I slept late last.” Understandable, it was his birthday.
“You can sleep of course.” I said, “You can take a nap on my lap, just lay down.” I offered. He quickly look at me, “Really?” I nodded to confirm.
“Yes, do it now.” He smiled. It was just the two of us on the back seat, Samantha were sitting down of the passenger side.
I’m caressing his hair slowly for him to sleep quickly, maybe he was really tired last night, but still choose to be hyper this morning. This kid drained his energy too much.
“You said he was a little devil, but look at him now, he looks like an angel who’s sleeping peacefully.” I heard Samantha said to her mate so I looked at them.
“I just said that he’s a devil but never said that he’s not an angel.” Troy replied with wittiness in his voice. “Remember, devils is once an angel.” He continued. Right, he was right.
“You got me there. You love your nephew that much eh?” Sam asked him again.
“Yes, eve if he always make fun of me, even if he’s been pain in the ass, I still love him and wanted him to be happy.”
That’s so sweet of him.
“I didn’t expect you to say that.” I saw troy spared her a glace, well, it seems like they forgot about our existence here now eh?
But then I realized, I don’t care at all. Let them talk the way they like.
“Why so?” He asked her.
“I mean, he’ll be the one who will be the Vampire king instead of you. Is there any anger in your heart?” she asked once again.
That’s indeed a catchy question, I wanted to here is answer.
“No, there’s no hate because in the first place I never dream to be the Vampire king.” Surprising yet understandable. Like I am, I never dreamed to be a tribrid, the alpha king’s mate and too have this complicated life of mine.
If I will be given the chance to change my life, I will choose to have a simple yet peaceful life. Most of all the persons around the world wanted to have a life like that, but this is life, a mean reality which hurting and making us physically, emotionally, and mentally weak.
“You didn’t?”
“Yes, I’m contented with the life I have especially when I met you.” That makes me giggle, geez. Even if I just met them a few days ago, I can’t stop to feel happy for them.
I hope their love story won’t end like the story I had. Sweet, happy yet painful.
