Secret of the Hired Boyfriend by Misty Rain Chapter 19

Chapter 19
Olivia frowned, and she whimpered dissatisfiedly. Although very drunk, she still had enough composure to instinctively push Jack away.
Jack had never considered himself a good person, and since Olivia had practically come knocking on his door, he did not see the need to pretend he was a saint.
He had tasted her before, and he did not dislike it. Hence, he was willing to stay with her.
His actions were intentional.
As their lips continued to be locked, Olivia started to struggle more fiercely. The strength of her resistance was unexpected, and Jack let her go.
“I, I want…” Her glistening lips parted slightly as she panted heavily.
Jack raised his eyebrows. A realization suddenly dawned upon him. He stood up and took a step back.
In the next second, Olivia leaned over the bed. “Ugh!”
Olivia puked all over the floor. Since she did not eat anything, all she puked out was alcohol. Jack shook his head before he turned around and left the room.
After puking, Olivia’s remaining consciousness was also depleted.
Jack had no choice but to leave the mop aside first. He carried the drunkard and brought her to the bathroom.
There was no bathtub in the bathroom. Jack put Olivia on the floor. Then, he turned on the shower and started to rinse her body.
Jack had never taken care of anyone like this before. It was not an easy thing for him to do.
Olivia was awakened by the water that ran down her head. She could not open her eyes, and her first reaction was that it was raining.
She subconsciously raised her hands to cover her eyes but quickly sensed something amiss. She wondered, “Whose feet are those in front of me?”
Suddenly, Olivia raised her head and saw Jack with the shower top in front of her. He was rinsing her body.
Seeing that Olivia was awake, Jack twisted the faucet and returned the shower top to its original position.
Olivia was squatting in the corner and looking up at Jack in confusion as if she still did not understand what was happening.
She asked, “What are you doing?”
Jack patted her damp skin and said, “I’m giving you a bath.”
Olivia thought to herself, “Wait, what?”
She looked down and felt a rush of conflicting emotions. She was happy and mad at the same
time, happy because her clothes were still on, but mad because it did not make sense for Jack to give her a bath with her clothes still on.
At this moment, she was completely drenched. There were still water droplets clinging to the
ends of her hair.
“Since you’re awake, you can wash yourself,” Jack said casually before he turned around and left.
Olivia’s brain was like a computer that had just been rebooted. Since many program functions had
not been loaded yet, she stood up numbly and began to take off her clothes to shower.
Halfway through, she suddenly realized something.
She thought to herself, “Why do I need to shower? Why was he helping me? Weren’t we just drinking earlier? Also, I don’t have a change of clothes!”
As soon as Jack sat on the sofa, Olivia popped her head out of the bathroom. She blushed and said
shyly, “Can you help me get a change of clothes? It’s in my bedroom closet. Anything will do.”
There was a faint smile on Jack’s face. He stared at her for some time, and just when Olivia felt like she was about to die from shame, he agreed. “Sure.”
Jack went to the bedroom and quickly brought her a new set of clothes to change into.
“Thank you.” Olivia took the clothes from him. When she saw what he had brought, there was a drastic change in her mood. He had brought her a cropped camisole.
She stared at Jack angrily, wondering if he did it on purpose.
Jack said helplessly, ‘You said anything will do.”
Olivia blushed to the extent that she felt like her cheeks were exploding. “You had so many other
options but chose this out of everything! How am I supposed to wear this?”
“Didn’t you buy this yourself? Isn’t it for you to wear?”
“Get another shirt for me!”
Jack knew that Olivia was on the verge of going berserk. He decided to stop teasing her. Smiling,
he returned to the bedroom to help her get a thicker set of clothes. 1
Back at the Joneses.
Avery was pacing back and forth in the living room with an anxious expression. Blaine was lying on the sofa, wrapped in gauze. His eyes moved left and right, following his father’s figure.
“Dad, stop pacing! You’re making me dizzy! Is there any news from Joel?”
Avery glared at Blaine angrily. “Do you think I’d be pacing here if there is any news? Goddamn
Joel, he’s so unreliable!”
“Then, you should go and ask around! The doctor just now said that I would never be able to regain my former glory in this lifetime! Dad, you’re going to lose your bloodline!”
“Shut up!” Avery scolded him in a low voice. “Don’t talk nonsense. I’ll find you the best doctor, and they’ll definitely be able to cure you.”
Selena, who was upstairs listening to the conversation between father and son, rolled her eyes. She thought to herself, “Avery wants to cure Blaine? What for? To let him continue gallivanting
outside?”
“No way!”
Avery could not wait any longer. Joel had taken the money, but there had been no news from him for the past several days. There was a chance that Joel had run away with the money.
Avery grabbed his jacket and was just about to leave when the butler suddenly rushed in. “Sir, there is a man here to see you. He claims to be Mr. Richardson.”
Avery’s face lit up. “Show him in!”
Soon, Joel was led into the room by the butler. Avery quickly greeted him. “Mr. Richardson, you’re finally here! Please, have a seat. You must have come bearing good news!”
Joel casually took a bank card from his pocket and threw it on the table. “I’m not staying for long. Mr. Jones, I’m afraid I can’t help you. You can have your money back!”
The smile on Avery’s face froze in an instant. Even Blaine sat up in shock, staring at Joel.
“What do you mean? Did you also fall in love with that bitch?” Blaine’s head appeared to be filled with those thoughts.
Joel glanced at him and said with a sneer, “Boy, you’re really making me lose my patience. Don’t you know that Olivia is Jack Shaw’s woman? How dare you mess with his woman?”
Blaine said angrily, “I don’t care whose woman she is! I will kill her, and not just her, Jack Shaw too! Whatever it is, I want you to kill both of them! I’ll give you whatever you want.”
There was an ugly look on Joel’s face. He stared at Blaine with a murderous look in his eyes.
Meanwhile, Avery’s face had turned pale. He stood there dumbfounded. Witnessing his father’s silence, Blaine continued shouting, “Dad! Just say something. What’s there to fear about those two people? I’m already paralyzed. Tell Mr. Richardson…”
At that moment, Avery slapped Blaine in the face.
“Shut your mouth!”
Blaine covered his face and stared at his father in disbelief. “Dad, have you gone mad? It’s fine if you don’t want to take revenge for me, but how dare you hit me? Do you still see me as your son?”
“I hit you precisely because you’re my son, you bastard! Why didn’t you tell me earlier that the man who helped Olivia is Jack Shaw?”
