Secret of the Hired Boyfriend by Misty Rain Chapter 1

Chapter 1
Olivia Greenwood was dizzy and faded in and out of consciousness. In the darkness, she instinctively hugged the man in front of her.
The man did not say anything. He pinned Olivia tightly to the bed and pressed his lips against Olivia’s. The man’s lips were cold, with a faint smell of alcohol and wildness.
Olivia’s entire body felt limp. The only part of her body that she could move was her fingers. She gripped the man’s sleeves. Like a lone boat floating in the stormy waves of the ocean, her mind was swallowed up until she was overtaken by passion.
When Olivia woke up the next day, her body felt like it had been split apart.
The blinding sunlight shone into her eyes. Bracing against her headache, Olivia sat up and saw the messy bed and a man’s tie. Her entire body froze. What had happened yesterday came flooding back…
Last night, Olivia had gone to visit a client with her manager. She had started feeling dizzy after only one glass of wine. She had made an excuse to leave the dinner but ended up in this room for some reason. “What a mess…” she thought.
Olivia could not help but cover her face. This was her first time! How could she lose her virginity to a stranger?
While she was still lost in thought, her phone suddenly rang. Olivia answered it without even looking.
A provocative woman’s voice streamed out of the speaker. “Olivia, the classmate reunion is today. How come you’re not here yet? You’re not scared to come, right?”
Olivia glanced at the time. “It’s only ten right now. What are you so impatient about?” Her body was going through waves of pain, so she didn’t answer in a friendly tone either.
“I’m just reminding you. No need to be so mean! Great that you didn’t forget. Remember to bring your boy-”
Olivia hung up before the other person could finish speaking.
Olivia arrived at the hotel entrance at 11 o’clock.
Just as she alighted from the taxi, a man and woman came out of a BMW beside her. The woman was beautiful and dressed in a trendy Chanel set. The man was handsome and also covered in luxury brands.
These two were no strangers to Olivia.
The man was Blaine Jones, her ex. He was from a wealthy family and had flirted with Olivia for an entire semester until Olivia was touched by his “sincerity.”
But they had dated for less than two months before Blaine cheated on Olivia and got together with Selena Holmes in a hotel room.
Even worse, Selena had spread the rumor that Olivia was a gold digger who got dumped by Blaine. This led Olivia to be bullied at school for three years. They’d graduated now, but Selena and Blaine still paid attention to Olivia’s relationship status. They would be happy if Olivia did not have a great life. They wished that Olivia would struggle to make ends meet, be loved by nobody, and be miserable.
“Wow, our Miss Popular came in a taxi?” Selena studied Olivia with a smile, but her eyes were full of mockery. “Didn’t you say you got a good job after graduating and even got a rich boyfriend? What, your boyfriend won’t even buy you a car?”
Staring at Selena’s annoying face, Olivia replied calmly, “It’s better to rely on yourself. What people give you will never be your own. Be careful you don’t get thrown out in the future.”
Selena’s expression faltered, but she recovered quickly. She intimately clutched Blaine’s elbow. “You’re right, but Blaine and I are getting married next month. Come to our wedding, and remember to bring your boyfriend along!”
Olivia was not shocked at all that Selena and Blaine were getting married. They were a match made in hell.
“Alright, Sel. There’s no point in saying all this. How could she get a boyfriend?” Blaine mocked Olivia shamelessly as he hugged Selena’s waist. “Let’s go in now. The sun is too bright.”
Selena turned and smiled at Olivia. “Do you want to go in together?”
“No, I’m waiting for someone.”
“Okay, then we’ll go in now.” Selena thought, “Even if Olivia got a boyfriend, he’s probably old and poor.”
Olivia didn’t feel like dealing with that overdramatic couple.
After they left, Olivia took out her phone to make a call.
“Hey, we agreed on 11 o’clock. Why aren’t you here yet?”
Yep, Olivia had rented a boyfriend on an app for 2,000 dollars. She didn’t want to stoop so low as to accessorize herself with a boyfriend, but Selena and Blaine were waiting to laugh at her. Olivia refused to let them have their way.
“Miss, don’t worry. I’m already here. I’m wearing a black suit, sunglasses, and carrying…”
Olivia didn’t listen carefully because a black Rolls-Royce had parked before her. The engine’s roar covered the voice on the phone.
The car door opened, and a man in a black suit emerged. He was over six feet tall and extremely fit, with broad shoulders and long legs. Under his black shades was a tall nose, and his sharp features practically shone under the sun.
Everything about him screamed “expensive.”
Olivia’s eyes brightened, and she pocketed her phone.
She walked over and held the man’s arm. “You’re finally here.”
Glancing at the Rolls-Royce on the side of the road, Olivia commented, “Your platform’s service is amazing. I forgive you for being late.”
The man blanched. He tilted his head and gazed at the woman’s face over his shades.
The woman was wearing a long white dress paired with a high-collared sweater. Her dark hair hung down her shoulders. Her clear and wide-eyed look made her seem both cute and sexy.
“This face and the woman from last night…” the man thought.
“It’s her.”
