Secret of the Hired Boyfriend by Misty Rain Chapter 14

Chapter 14
Danny looked through the rearview mirror, watching Jack tidying up his clothes in the back as he recalled the memorable scene of the CEO coming downstairs wrapped in a towel. At this thought, he wondered if his boss had become so playboyish.
He also wondered if his boss, pursuing true love, went to great lengths to conceal his identity just to date an ordinary girl.
“Why aren’t you driving yet?” The man’s cold voice came from behind.
Danny snapped out of his thoughts, thinking the familiar cold-faced Yama had returned. He immediately started the car. “Mr. Shaw, where are we going now?”
“Royal Paradise Nightclub.”
Olivia had trouble falling asleep because of Mike’s incident, tossing and turning in bed with anxiety. Suddenly, she heard footsteps outside, thinking that Jack had come back.
But then she realized he could not come in because he did not have a key.
She sat up abruptly from the bed, reaching out to turn on the light. The instant the light illuminated the room, the bedroom door was pushed open.
A man wearing black headgear rushed in and pinned her on the bed. She widened her eyes in fear, and the man covered her mouth before she could speak.
“Mmm…”
She struggled desperately. Suddenly, the man pulled out a shiny knife and pressed it against her neck. “Don’t move.”
With teary eyes, she stared fixedly at this uninvited guest. After all, anyone would be afraid when a stranger breaks in with a knife in the middle of the night.
She was no exception, too frightened to move and could only gaze at the man with pleading eyes.
The man spoke softly, “Your grandmother is next door, right? I’ll kill her too if you dare to say anything.”
Terrified, she dared not utter a sound.
The man suddenly seized both her wrists and pinned them above her head. He held her chin, carefully examining her face.
He realized that she was beautiful. As her teary eyes sparkled, she looked particularly vulnerable, making it difficult to resist her feminine charm.
It seemed as though she was born to be tormented because the more she suffered, the more beautiful she looked.
“Someone sent me to kill you, but I will spare your life if you are willing to cooperate with me.”
Before she could even grasp the meaning of his words, the man’s hand had already slipped into her nightgown. She was horrified and instinctively pushed the man away with force.
The man was caught off guard as he did not expect her to resist. The knife in his hand also fell onto the bed at that moment.
She quickly grabbed the knife from the bed, pointing it at the man, trembling as she said, “Don’t come any closer, or else I’ll kill you.”
The man was also somewhat provoked. He did not think she would have the courage to kill someone, pouncing at her once again.
She held onto the knife and fiercely struck down. Fortunately, the man dodged quickly, but the knife still cut his arm.
Bright red blood dripped onto the white sheets from his arm.
He glared at her with fury.
She held the knife, trembling uncontrollably as tears streamed in large drops. However, she did not dare to make a sound, fearing Barbara would hear the commotion and come over. She was afraid that this man would harm her grandmother.
But as a physically weak woman, she was no match for a desperado.
The man quickly grabbed her delicate wrist, and with just a little force, she winced in pain and let go of the knife.
The man snatched the knife and threw it under the bed. He then pressed her down on the bed, ripping her nightgown apart. She desperately resisted, but the man firmly restrained her hands.
