My Rich Hot and Infertile (Or Maybe Not) Husband Chapter 496

Chapter 496
Liam was stunned, his eyes filled with shock, and a sense of crisis suddenly arose in his heart.
Sydney hesitated momentarily, then quickly asked, “Meet the family?”
“Meet my family.” Steven said with a smile. “We’ve known each other for quite a while, so it’s about time I introduce her to my parents. Otherwise, people might think I’m single and keep trying to set up.”
Liam.
Celeste was taken aback.
Steven’s answer saved her face, but it felt odd and uncomfortable.
Sydney couldn’t believe it. “Mr Garcia, are you saying that you and Ms Campbell have reached the point where you need to meet each other’s parents?”
Steven glanced at her. “Is that so surprising?”
“It is a bit.” Sydney clenched her fingers and whispered, “Ms Campbell just got divorced, and now she’s meeting your parents. Things are moving pretty fast.”
“Well. You don’t want to wait a moment longer when you meet the right person. I thought I wouldn’t have a chance, but it turns out Mr Reed couldn’t see a gem when it was right in front of him,” Steven paused for a moment, then laughed, “Mr Reed, if we end up together, we’ll have to give you a big gift to thank you for giving up.”
Celeste listened expressionlessly as Steven spewed nonsense.
But she gotta admit, he sounded pretty serious, especially when he said, “If we end up together,” and gave her a deep, love–struck look. He really seemed like a smitten guy.
Liam’s face at this moment couldn’t be described as ugly, his eyes were red, and he gritted his teeth as he looked at Celeste. “Is what he said true?”
For a moment, Celeste seemed to see an indescribable panic and sadness in his eyes.
But soon, she shrugged off the thought. Why would Liam be sad?
It was his doing that brought them to this paint today. What right did he have to be sad?
Even if he was sad, it was probably because she managed to find a good catch like Steven right after her divorce, hurting his pride.
“Does it matter if it’s true or not?” Celeste glanced at him indifferently, not wanting to stay here a second longer. She didn’t want to see Sydney or Liam, especially not with them standing together.
Celeste didn’t look at him again and turned to Steven, “Mr Garcia, let’s go in.”
Steven glanced at Liam’s broken expression and followed her, “How about mango pudding for dessert?”
“Sounds good. I love it.”
As their voices faded, Liam stood rooted to the spot, his eyes red and swollen.
Their voices drifted away, and Liam stood there, his eyes red inappropriately
Naturally, he didn’t believe Steven’s nonsense. What he was really sad about was Celeste’s irrefutability.
Though he no longer believed that Celeste would have a crush on Steven, nor can he watch her go to see Steven’s parents without being moved.
She didn’t like Steven. What if Steven liked her?
Celeste was good–looking.
Celeste was sweet
Celeste was gentle with her elders.
Celeste also saved Clair’s life.
The Garcia family had no reason not to like her.
He pursed his lips, looked at their backs, and followed him up.
Sydney saw Liam leaving and hurried to pull him. “Llam…”
As soon as she touched Liam’s hand, she was thrown off by the other side in a conditioned way.
He frowned in a very bad tone. “What’s the matter?”
