My Rich Hot and Infertile (Or Maybe Not) Husband Chapter 125

Chapter 125
Mason couldn’t help but chuckle, “That was back in school. We’re not that childish anymore.”
Oh, really? Not childish?
Two grown men in their thirties, racing horses just to make the other call him “brother.”
So childish indeed!
Surprisingly, Liam didn’t object to the challenge and calmly said, “Well, looks like you’ll have another big brother today.”
Steven confidently laughed, “Or maybe another little brother.”
As the whistle blew, the two horses shot off like arrows.
But it didn’t take long for Sugar to fall behind the red horse, and the gap between them kept widening.
Mason commented, “Looks like the limited vision did affect her”
Celeste spoke softly but firmly. “Sugar won’t lose.” Especially with Liam riding it.
The two of them were a perfect match. No one understood Sugar’s pride and dignity as a racehorse better than Liam, and no one could handle it better than him.
“Oh, by the way” Mason suddenly remembered something and took an item out of his pocket, “Is this yours?”
Celeste looked over and saw that Mason was holding the earring she had worn the night before.
Mason explained. “I found it in the car this morning. Must have fallen off when I was giving you a ride last night
It’s mine. I thought I’d lost it.” Celeste said.
Celeste took it and expressed her gratitude, thinking that she should have brought the gift with her when she first came to the racetrack. This would be a good opportunity to give it to Mason
“How’s Kaylee doing now?” Mason suddenly asked.
Celeste wasn’t really interested in Kaylee’s affairs, so she gave a perfunctory reply. “Probably hanging out with her friends.”
Mason looked puzzled, “Didn’t Liam rip her a new one?”
“For what?” Celeste asked.
“Ms. Denton got hurt pretty badly last night. Her arm needed three stitches, and now she can’t even shoot the commercials she’s been working on. There’s a hefty penalty for that. Liam was at the hospital all night. I thought he would punish Kaylee severely. He didn’t use to spoil her like this.” Mason
said
Celeste’s fingers slowly curled.
The phrase “Liam was at the hospital all night” automatically filtered through her mind.
It made sense. A small injury was enough to make him anxious and rush to the hospital. With three stitches, he must have been worried sick. It was hard on him to come back in the morning and accompany her to the mansion to play her part.
She tried to convince herself that she was staying in the marriage for Liam’s money right now, and when the time was right, Liam could be his own CEO, and she’d take her money and go their separate ways. There was no need to care about these things.
But the uneasiness in her heart persisted.
Especially when she thought about that no one had been there to sign for her when she was hospitalized after her car accident, and her husband was watching over another woman’s bedside. Her heart ached with every thought of it.
“I’m not sure she didn’t want to show her disappointment in front of others, so Celeste spoke in a low voice, I’m sorry, but it’s too sunny here. I’m going back”
After saying that, she hurried away from the scene.
The race had now entered the second half, and Sugar, who was a lap behind, suddenly began to speed up
its speed was swift as the wind and powerful as lightning, leaving only a blur in people’s vision as it raced
Mason had only seen such speed in international competitions.
Sugar was getting closer and closer to Steven’s horse, which felt threatened and also sped up. But its earlier acceleration had consumed too much energy, and after a desperate lap, it was finally overtaken by Sugar
Sugar, carrying Liam, crossed the finish line with excitement, raising its front hooves as a proud declaration of victory
Steven took off his helmet, panting. ‘Did your horse take some kind of stimulant?”
Liam sneered, “Just accept your defeat and call me ‘big bro”
Steven laughed, “You won, my dear big brother”
Liam looked at Mason in the distance and asked, “Did you get it on camera?”
Mason waved his phone, “Of course
Steven said, “You guys are so childish”
Liam ignored him and told Mason, “Send it to me.”
Steven took a sip of water and suddenly asked, “Where did your wife go?”
Liam only then noticed that Celeste had left the scene, her clothes carelessly thrown on a seat far away from the crowd.
Mason relayed Celeste’s words, “Celeste said it was too sunny, so she went back to rest,”
Steven looked up at the sky. It was cloudy today, and the sunlight wasn’t strong. There had even been a dark cloud passing by earlier, making it look like it
was about to rain.
It was obvious that this was just an excuse.
Steven laughed and said, “Girls are like that. My sister is the same, always carrying an umbrella on a cloudy day.”
Liam didn’t say anything.
When the three of them returned, Celeste was serving dishes for everyone. The old lady pulled them over to wash their hands and said it was time for lunch.
The old lady was delighted to have lunch with them because Liam and Mason were both family, and she also enjoyed being with young people. The atmosphere was joyful, and everyone ate happily.
After dinner, they went for tea, mostly talking about their childhoods. Celeste excused herself to cut fruit for everyone and then quietly slipped away.
After spending a while in the kitchen, Celeste was chased out by the maids for interfering with their work. To avoid the living room, she decided to go to the rooftop for a while.
When she arrived at the rooftop, she found Mason smoking there.
Hearing the noise, Mason came to his senses and immediately put out the cigarette, saying, “Sorry, I thought no one would come up here.”
Celeste waved her hand, “It’s fine. I don’t mind.”
She found it a bit strange because Mason didn’t seem like the type to smoke. He looked very decent, like the kind of obedient and well-behaved student in school. But Liam appeared to be someone with a loose lifestyle, yet in reality, he was very disciplined, didn’t smoke, and couldn’t handle alcohol well.
Mason smiled but didn’t light another cigarette..
“By the way, I wanted to discuss the lawsuit with you. Maybe it was better to drop it.
Before Celeste had a chance to speak, Mason took the initiative, I didn’t tell Liam. Your business is a client’s secret.”
With that, Celeste couldn’t say anything further.
“Do you remember this account? Mason suddenly brought his phone closer, pointing at a Facebook profile picture on a screenshot and asking her.
Celeste took one glance and replied, “Of course I remember, cause out of all those people who sent me nasty private messages, she was the meanest
one.”
The stuff this person said to her was just disgusting. When Celeste blocked her, she would switch to another account and keep insulting, always using the same profile picture and nickname. There was no way Celeste could forget.
This person even organized a group of people to target her specifically
For the first two months, Celeste spent all day reading those private messages and nearly drove herself into depression. Looking back, why on earth do some people have so much free time to stir up trouble online?
If she let it slide this time, it would only make these people more arrogant.
Mason was silent for a few seconds, then suddenly asked, “Do you have any personal beef with Ms. Denton?”
