My Rich Hot and Infertile (Or Maybe Not) Husband Chapter 16

Chapter 16
She lowered her head and agreed, just like before, submissive and weak.
Skyler didn’t say anything more, just urged her to drink the medicine first.
Since there was no way to avoid it, Celeste had no choice but to force herself to drink the medicine, holding her breath and chugging it down.
This whole act was so not worth it! The divorce settlement should be at least a 60-40 split to be fair!
Not long after she finished the medicine, Liam came in.
Skyler’s goal had been achieved, and there was no point in continuing the meal. She got up and said, “I have a card game. with Mrs. Garber this afternoon, and it’s almost time. You two go ahead and eat.”
Kaylee quickly got up, “I’m meeting a friend for shopping, Mom. Can you give me a ride?”
Liam and Celeste escorted them to the door. Before leaving, Skyler didn’t forget to remind Celeste, “Celeste, remember to take your belongings and don’t forget about what I said.”
Celeste nodded.
After sending them off, Liam turned to her and asked, “What did Mom say to you?”
“Nothing.” Celeste answered.
The drug in her stomach was too irritating, and Celeste couldn’t help but feel nauseous. After saying that, she turned pale and started retching.
Liam frowned, grabbed her wrist, and pulled her to the bathroom.
She threw up most of the medicine in the bathroom, feeling better after vomiting. As she got up to wash her hands, she saw Liam in the mirror.
He stood behind her, looking thoughtful as he watched her.
When she realized that her miserable state was all because of him, Celeste was too angry to calm down.
She said sarcastically, “Does Mr. Reed enjoy watching people use the restroom?”
Liam glanced at her and said flatly, “Not particularly, but if you need it, I can oblige. After all, this isn’t the first time.”
Celeste couldn’t help but think of last year’s Valentine’s Day when she had drunk a lot and was completely wasted. She had even asked Liam to help her use the restroom and pull up her pants.
She hadn’t done many shameful things in her life, but this one was remembered by Liam.
What kind of person was he!
Seeing that she wasn’t moving, Liam said calmly, “Do you need me to help you undress?”
Celeste glanced at him, “Mr. Reed, it seems that we’re not in a relationship where we can tease each other like that.”
Liam suddenly leaned towards her, and Celeste instinctively backed away, but there was nowhere to hide, her back pressed against the sink.
She was now trapped between the sink and Liam, surrounded by his presence, domineering and imposing.
“What are you doing?” She pushed at his chest to stop him from getting closer.
Liam’s eyes lingered on her lips for a second before looking into her eyes, his voice deep and magnetic.
“It seems like you’re the one who started it, right? Not only calling me affectionately but also feeding me. Isn’t that you trying to seduce me?” Liam asked.
Celeste stared wide–eyed, speechless. Where did this confidence come from?
“Mr. Reed, I think you may have misunderstood…” Celeste widened her eyes as she felt her lips become unbearably dry–Liam suddenly kissed her.
This was the first time Liam had taken the initiative to kiss her. In the past, every kiss was initiated by her, and Liam would only respond when she teased him to the point that he couldn’t resist anymore.

Chapter 16
He never seemed to have the desire to actively kiss and possess her, but he did for Sydney, even calling her name unconsciously when he was feverish and confused
Thinking about this, she found his touch unbearable.
As Liam’s tongue entered her mouth, she bit down hard. Although Liam dodged in time, his lip was still bitten through.
A metallic taste filled her mouth, and Liam frowned as he let her go, “Are you a dog?”
Celeste clenched her teeth. If she were a dog, he would be her first target to bite to death!
Liam wanted to say something, but his phone rang again. He glanced at it, furrowed his brow, and said to Celeste, “Go wait for me in the car.”
With that, he left with his phone.
Celeste saw the caller ID on his phone–Baby.
She expressionlessly wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth with a tissue, and when she saw her reflection in the mirror, she found herself pale, pitiful, and pathetic.
Celeste wanted to find some dignity and take a taxi home by herself, but as soon as she stepped outside, the cold wind hit
her head.
The weather was sunny when she left, but now there was no sun in sight. Celeste was wearing thin clothes, and after just a few steps, she felt her hands and feet were numb.
The restaurant Skyler chose was in a newly developed area, making it inconvenient to catch a taxi. After a brief struggle, she decided to get in the car.
About ten minutes later, Liam got in the car as well.
She didn’t know if it was the side effects of the medicine Skyler gave her, but after vomiting, she felt completely drained. The car hadn’t been driving for long when she closed her eyes, feeling drowsy.
Just as she was about to fall asleep, a heavy object was suddenly thrown into her lap, startling her awake.
She was about to get angry at Liam, but when she saw the box in her lap, she froze and opened it.
Inside was a Hermes crocodile skin bag, platinum edition. If she remembered correctly, the official price was about 20,000, but it was super rare, so it might cost even more than that to get one.
What the hell was Liam doing?
Celeste looked at him, completely baffled, “What’s this supposed to mean?”
Liam glanced at her impatiently, “It’s a gift from a client, and I can’t use it.”
Owen was shocked and puzzled.
Mr. Reed, could we be a little more genuine here?
Liam delt with billions of dollars in business, so it was no surprise that his partners gave him some expensive luxury items.
Last year, someone gave him a pair of earrings that weren’t cheap. Liam gave them to her, and she was pretty happy about it. But then she lost them at a party and was so heartbroken that she couldn’t eat for days, and Liam even laughed at her.
He didn’t realize that the only reason she cared so much was because he had given them to her.
Now that she thought about it, to Liam, it was just a useless thing someone else had given him, and he casually gave it to her without any thought or care.
Celeste stuffed the item back into the box and handed it to him, “Let’s just deal with this when we settle our divorce, so I don’t have to give it back.”
Owen’s eyes were wild open with shock.
Liam’s face darkened instantly. “Celeste! What right do you have to talk to me about divorce and settling property with me? Everything you have now, isn’t it all given by me? Can you continue with your life without all these privileges after the divorce? You can’t even maintain basic living standard!”
Celeste’s fingers trembled. Every time she thought she was no longer afraid of Liam’s words, he would hurt her again, making her realize how worthless she was in his eyes.
Chapter To
Seeing that she didn’t say anything, Liam’s tone softened a bit, coldly saying, “If you know your mistake, I’ll pretend nothing happened before. The title of Mrs. Reed is still yours, and I’ll give you whatever you want…”
“Mr. Reed is so patient,” Celeste interrupted him with a sneer before he could finish, “Should I be crying and thanking you non–stop?”
Liam frowned, “I’m giving you a chance. You should at least show some remorse!”
“Thanks for your generosity, Mr. Reed, but I really can’t handle it. Save the opportunity for someone who needs it.” Celeste. said.
Liam’s anger flared up. “Celeste! I’ve indulged you time and time again. You should be content and don’t get too greedy!”
“I am that greedy, Liam. Let’s make a bet,” Celeste looked him straight in the eyes, her expression calmer than ever before. “Let’s see if I can live well after divorcing you.”
“Alright,” Liam laughed in anger, “I want to see how you’ll struggle in adversity without me! Owen, stop the car!”
Owen’s hand trembled as he quickly pulled over.
“Get out!” Liam’s voice was cold and ruthless.
Celeste glanced at the windy and desolate road, her heart sinking.
The atmosphere got tense, and Owen whispered, “Mr. Reed, it’s hard to get a taxi around here. Let’s wait until we get to the city.”
Liam sneered, “She wants to prove to me how she can live without me, right? Then I’ll give her this chance! If she can’t even walk this little distance, what ability does she have to live by herself?”
