Simon really embarrassed her in public like that.
Nicolas looked at Simon with surprise.
He remembered Simon as a real gentleman. He had known him for years and had rarely seen him in such direct conflict with others.
He and Molly were friends. Was it just because of Molly’s attitude towards Michaela earlier?
The atmosphere was a bit awkward for a moment, Steven chuckled and said, “Actually, I didn’t visit those wineries much in all the years I was abroad either. Maybe we can check them out sometime.”
Molly finally relaxed a little.
Afterwards, she kept chatting with Steven.
Celeste was a bit bored, but soon, a peeled shrimp appeared on her plate.
Celeste was stunned and looked at Liam suspiciously.
Was this guy trying to mess with her?
Liam glanced at her, “This shrimp is really delicious.”
Celeste deliberately argued, “I love chewing on shrimp shells the most. What’s the point when you peel it off?”
Liam paused, took away the shrimp, and handed her the shrimp shells on the plate, “Please enjoy.”
Celeste rolled her eyes.
What a jerk!
Steven watched Celeste for a while and suddenly asked, “Did you study acting?”
Celeste nodded.
“No wonder,” he smiled. “I saw a clip of your performance today, and the scene where you held a knife really scared me. It was amazing.”
Celeste was a bit embarrassed, “That performance wasn’t so formal, so I could just let loose and be myself.”
“How did you make that male voice?”
Celeste was taken aback, “How did you know it was my voice?”
Steven smiled, “I didn’t know, I was just guessing. But now I know for sure.”
Celeste had nothing to say.
Now everyone at the table looked at Celeste.
Nicolas was also very surprised to know she was Celestial Haze. He was a hardcore fan of her, and had heard many of her voiceovers and watched almost all her works.
Celestial Haze was famous for her mature woman voice. Although she could do quite a few different voice, it was still the most popular.
He had never heard Celestial Haze do a male voice.
If it was really her own voice, Celeste’s vocal skills were quite strong.
“Have you ever thought about acting?”
Nicolas immediately became alert, “Even if she debuts, she’d be signing with me, so don’t bother.”
Steven calmly said, “Ms. Denton from your company has taken up most of the high–quality resources. There won’t be enough resources for her if she signs with you. We’re different. We are a new company, and the first batch of signed artists can get the best resources.”
Nicolas perched his lips, “Do you know what first come first served means? Get in line!”
Steven handed Celeste a business card, hoping to have a chance to work with her first.
Celeste was a bit doubtful, not knowing if he was joking or serious.
She took a look at the card – Skyline Media Group.
Nicolas nervously said, “Ms. Campbell, don’t be fooled by his sweet talk. He’s a cunning businessman, even worse than Liam. He’s ruthless.”
Liam glared at Nicolas, “Shut up!”
Celeste pushed the card back, “Mr. Garcia, thank you for the invitation, but I have no plans for acting currently.”
“No problem. Keep the card and call me when you want to join our company. Of course, you can also contact me for personal matters. After all, I still owe you a big favor.”
Celeste had to accept the card.
It’s been a long time since everyone had gathered since Steven returned, and today was a good opportunity. A few bottles of wine were on the table, and everyone drank, except for Celeste who couldn’t drink because she had to drive. Steven kept toasting Liam, who wasn’t a good drinker and got red–faced after a few drinks.
Celeste wanted to tell him to drink less, but swallowed the words.
When could she quit this bad habit of worrying?
Halfway through, the smell of alcohol filled the private room, and Celeste felt a bit stuffy, so she excused herself to the restroom.
Walking out onto the terrace, she felt refreshed in the open air.
Celeste checked her phone. Trisha had sent her a screenshot and several messages about the new account’s followers reaching a million.
“Celeste, post something to celebrate. You haven’t been online much today.”
“Keep the account active, so people can remember you.”
Celeste sent a photo to Trisha, “How about I post this one?”
Trisha replied, “No! Lose the filter. Just take a picture and directly send it to me.”
Celeste complied, took several photos, and sent them to Trisha.
At that moment, Michaela came over and called her, “Ms. Campbell.”
Celeste turned around, and Michaela handed her a bottle of yogurt. “I originally just wanted to invite you. I didn’t expect so many people to come. Thank you so much for helping me with the shoot.”
Celeste waved her hand, “Mrs. Rowley, please. Gavin helped me first. I’m just returning the favor.”
Michaela was silent for a moment and asked quietly, “Are you close to Gavin?”
“Not really, I’ve just heard some rumors about him.”
Michaela asked, “You don’t have a good impression of him, do you?”
Celeste shook her head and smiled, “I haven’t seen him much, so I can’t judge a person based on rumors.”
Michaela didn’t say anything, and it’s unclear what she was thinking. After a while, she said, “Mastermind of Law‘ is doing
well, and the director wants you to film a few more episodes. The pay will definitely be higher.”
