My Rich Hot and Infertile (Or Maybe Not) Husband Chapter 393

Chapter 393
So he pointed to his mouth, shook his index finger, indicating that he wouldn’t talk, and asked her to let go.
Trisha stared at him, confirmed his sincerity multiple times, and finally let go of his mouth.
“Nicolas?”
Jace raised his voice, “Are you not awake yet?”
“I’m awake,” Nicolas cleared his throat and thundered, “What’s going on?”
Jace said, “You left your phone at the bar last night. Someone brought it over. Come get it.”
With threatening eyes, Trisha stared at Nicolas. “Let Dr. Ledford leave the phone at the door!”
Nicolas put on his coat and glanced at her, “If I ask him to put the phone outside the door, don’t you think he would get suspicious?”
Trisha also realized that this made them look like they had something to hide.
Unable to pick up the phone without opening the door, wouldn’t that mean we have something to hide?
Suddenly, Trisha reminded herself that opening the door would reveal the whole room’s situation at a glance.
If she hid in the bathroom, what if Nicolas gossiped in front of Dr. Ledford? She wouldn’t be able to stop him in time.
Seeing her hesitant, Nicolas suggested, “How about this, when I open the door, you hide by the door. He won’t see you, but you can hear what I say Deal?”
“What if you’re up to something?”
Nicolas glanced at her, “Do you think I want my reputation damaged? For others to know I sleep with anyone? Is that something to be proud of?”
Trisha twitched the corners of her mouth and viciously kicked Nicolas’s leg.
Nicolas, already prepared, easily dodged the kick.
“Nicolas?”
Dr. Ledford shouted again.
Nicolas said, “Hold on, let me put on some clothes.”
Turning to Trisha, “Let’s go.”
Trisha followed him cautiously to the door.
Nicolas opened the door.
Outside, Jace was texting, looked up, saw the marks on Nicolas’s chest, and laughed, “You had a fun night, huh?”
“Yeah, well,” Nicolas took the phone, “I was attacked by a cat all night.”
Trisha’s speechless and complaining secretly, why didn’t the cat just kill you?!
“What kind of cat?!” Jace whispered, still chuckling, “So fierce?”
Nicolas looked up. “A very wild cat.”
Trisha rolled her eyes.
Jace covered his mouth, laughed for while and asked, “Did the cat run away?”
“Cat”, Nicolas glanced at the doorway where Trisha was hiding, noticing her look of fear and anxiety, and smiled, “The cat is hiding now.”
Jace said, “From the way you’re talking about it, I actually want to meet this cat.”
“Fine, whatever…” Nicolas had just started speaking when he felt a tug on his sleeve. He turned and saw the female bandit holding onto him, her eyes red as if she was about to cry any second.
Nicolas looked into her eyes and suddenly remembered.
Wasn’t it the woman who hugged him tightly while talking to Jace last night? Yep, that’s her, the female bandit right in front of him.
After thinking for a moment, Nicolas realized that she must be trying to keep her relationship with him a secret from Jace.
Usually, Nicolas was the type of guy who would do the opposite of what he was told not to do.
But what happened to him today? Seeing her red eyes tightly gripping his sleeve, he suddenly felt like he couldn’t go against her wishes
Nicolas hesitated and said with a pursed mouth, “Forget it, the cat is too timid. What if it gets scared, right?”
