My Rich Hot and Infertile (Or Maybe Not) Husband Chapter 495

Chapter 495
Seeing the irritation in Celeste’s eyes, Liam’s anger was instantly extinguished. He pursed his lips, feeling lost, and whispered, “That’s not what I
meant.”
“Mr Reed.” From not too far away, a soft feminine voice come. Celeste looked up coldly and saw Sydney in a long pink dress, all glitzy and glamorous.
She smiled and walked over, “Mr Garcia, you’re here too,” and then glanced at Celeste briefly with a curve of her lips, “Hello, Ms Campbell.”
Liam frowned. What was she doing here?
Celeste’s expression was indifferent, but her fingers were already clenched.
Of course, she could hear where Sydney emphasized her pronunciation and understood how much schadenfreude was in that “Ms Campbell.” Wasn’t it something to gloat about? Liam finally divorced her, and she got nothing. Sydney’s long–hidden frustration was finally released, so why not show off before her?
“I heard Ms Campbell’s mother passed away not long ago. I wasn’t in J City at the time and couldn’t go to pay my respects, which I truly regret. But looking at Ms Campbell’s state now, it seems she’s already over her grief. Time is indeed a good medicine.”
Her mother had only passed away for over a week, and talking about being over her grief was like stabbing her in the heart.
“Ms Denton, I’m sorry for your loss. You can still visit grave number 174 to show your condolences. Don’t just say it. Take some action. Maybe my mom will be happy to see it and come thank you at night.”
Sydney’s face turned ugly.
How could she say such a creepy thing so seriously?
They were divorced, but her mouth was still so poisonous!
Is this what happens when Celeste divorce Liam, lose backing, and start to let go?
Sydney smiled, “Ms Campbell knows how to joke.”
Then she turned the topic to Steven, “I heard Mr Garcia just returned to J City a few months ago. Is this your first time at this restaurant? I’m a regular here and am very familiar with their signature dishes. I also have a good relationship with the owner. If Mr Garcia doesn’t mind, we can all share a table, and I can introduce you to some local specialities.”
Steven glanced at Sydney indifferently.
He wasn’t familiar with Sydney, but he’d “run into her frequently in the past month.
Skyline Media Group had no cooperation with Sydney, so her frequent “encounters” must take some effort.
Sydney’s got some tricks up her sleeve, and Steven knew it all too well.
She’s about to break ties with Nicolas Media Group and was currently looking for a new company to sign with. Sydney’s acting skills were not all that, but she had ambition.
Skyline Media Group might be a newly registered company, but with the Garcia family backing them, they had some serious dough. Plus, they’re on the lookout for talent right now. If Sydney signed with them at this point, she’d naturally get the best resources considering her current status. Her career moving up another notch was just a matter of time.
She’s been creating the “chance encounters” just to get on Steven’s good side, hoping Skyline Media Group would take the initiative and offer her an olive branch.
Too bad she miscalculated. Skyline Media Group’s first production had Zach as the director, and Steven had no intention of letting his artists gain popularity through internet traffic. He’s not planning on signing “internet traffic” stars like Sydney.
Besides, Celeste seemed to dislike her.
With that in mind, Steven said, “I appreciate Ms Denton’s intentions, but I invited Ms Campbell here to meet my family today, and I don’t want any outsiders around. Mr Reed seems pretty free. Why don’t you join him at his table instead?”
Celeste.
