Agent Palmer was really worried about Sydney signing up for the drama “Peaceful Land“.
Last night, after Sydney fell into the water, Liam swung by and gave her a script on the way.
The script wasn’t for “Peaceful Land“, but a drama called “Tea Tycoon“. The script was just as good as Zach’s “Phoenix Fire“.
The female lead’s role was even more appealing than in “Phoenix Fire“. A growing female character that resonates more easily with the
audience.
But Sydney turned it down. She thought the production team of “Tea Tycoon” came from a small company. The director used to shoot art films, with many awards but not ideal box office numbers.
Sydney wanted to shoot “Phoenix Fire” because Zach’s drama has both public attention and quality assurances.
“Tea Tycoon” didn’t have much of a background and focused on winning awards. It’s not her top choice for her transformational plan as an
actress.
Additionally, “Tea Tycoon” started filming at the end of the year. Her contract with Galaxy Games was about to expire, and she currently had no works waiting to be aired. If she decided to shoot “Tea Tycoon“, it’ll create a gap in her screen work.
Not being able to maintain a certain exposure was really bad news for an actor who relied heavily on popularity. She couldn’t risk having such a long gap.
However, “Peaceful Land” was different. Its team lineup is comparable to “Phoenix Fire“, and the work itself is guaranteed to get attention. They start filming this month, wrap up in three months, and it’ll premiere by the end of the year. The pay is more than three times that of “Tea Tycoon“. Most importantly, “Tea Tycoon” had the same schedule as “Phoenix Fire“. It’s the perfect time for a showdown, and she’s very confident in her primetime ratings.
Since Zach dared to reject her, she won’t let “Phoenix Fire” air too smoothly.
So she didn’t hesitate in turning down “Tea Tycoon” and chose “Peaceful Land” instead.
Palmer was so mad when he found out.
Sydney knew “Peaceful Land” was very controversial, yet she still chose to participate, totally disregarding her own image.
But now he’s also helpless. The only thing he can do is to point the plagiarism issue to the author himself, trying to get Sydney off the hook.
Soon after the cast of “Peaceful Land” was announced, it quickly climbed up the trending.
As Sydney’s fans were celebrating, a lawyer’s letter suddenly appeared. The client behind the letter was Celestial Haze, the voice actor who had disappeared recently.
The letter stated that the client had suffered from internet violence for a long time, leading to depression. Attached to the letter were medical records, and it demanded an apology from several alleged perpetrators.
Soon after, some media discovered that the accused accounts all belonged to Sydney’s fans.
However, these account holders quickly denied being Sydney’s fans, deleted their previous comments, and closed their accounts.
Nevertheless, Sydney’s account was still bombarded with criticisms.
Contrary to Sydney’s desperate situation, Celeste seemed to be quite relaxed.
Originally, the lawyer’s letter was just a warning shot. The accounts they released had nothing to do with the actual planner, but their organized behavior indicated that they were indeed coordinated.
Whether or not Sydney was involved, encouraging fans was her fault, so she wasn’t innocent.
This unexpected gift should be enough to keep her in check for a while.

“Mr. Reed, there’s something I think you should see.”
“What is it?”
Liam didn’t look up, thinking it was work–related.
Owen said, “You asked me to retrieve the surveillance footage from the cruise ship the other day. I was going to delete it, but I just took a curious look.” Owen paused and whispered, “That day, Ms. Denton seemed to be trying to drag your wife into the water with her. Your wife couldn’t break free, so she kicked her off.”
Liam’s movements halted, and he took the phone from Owen.
Although the video was a bit blurry, their actions at the time were clearly visible.
It’s more accurate to say that Celeste kicked Sydney off out of self–defence than intentionally. She had no choice but to kick Sydney away; otherwise, it might not have been just Sydney who fell that day.
