My Rich Hot and Infertile (Or Maybe Not) Husband Chapter 264

Chapter 264
Galaxy Games Talent Agency had four types of contracts: SABC. A-level contracts were usually for the company’s main resources – the actors they thought would be worth a lot in the commercial market and had a higher revenue share.
B-level and C-level contracts were a bit lower-tier, usually for newbies, but occasionally someone would break out of the pack and got promoted to an A-level contract.
S-level contracts were super rare, mostly for superstars who had won a ton of awards, super well-known nationally, and some even own shares in the company – they were really deep with the company
Since Galaxy Games was founded, they’ve only had one S-level contract, with a super awesome actress. Unfortunately, she passed away from illness two years ago, otherwise Sydney wouldn’t have a chance to be the top actress at the agency.
Celeste had thought about signing with an agency too. Getting the role in “Phoenix Fire” was a total fluke, and landing good roles on your own was super tough. Agency backing is needed.
Galaxy Games had been killing it recently and Nicolas was a pro at networking – he can pull in all sorts of resources. If she signed with him, she’d be guaranteed good roles. But she didn’t want to sign with Galaxy Games because of one thing: Sydney.
Putting aside personal grudges, she could tell Sydney wanted to transition and was expericing different fields this year. As a fellow A-level contract actress, Sydney already had a lot of hits; any time a good script showed up, she’d probably snatch it. Even if Nicolas really liked Celeste, he might not be able to help her get good roles.
She’d rather sign with another agency as a newbie and at least have fair competition.
She joked, “If I sign with your agency, I’d have to be the face of it. Would you dare to touch your agency’s current face?”
Nicolas caught on quickly “You mean Sydney? Don’t worry about that. Her contract is almost up and I don’t think she’ll renew.”
Celeste was a bit surprised. “Ms. Denton has such high commercial value, would you really let her go?”
1 tried to keep her, but her renewal terms were to upgrade to an S-level contract. I can give her a better cut, but she doesn’t qualify for S-level. If we can’t agree, forget it. Her roles can make anyone who looks decent enough famous. Creating another star like her is just a matter of time.”
Like Liam, Nicolas hated being controlled.
Sure, Sydney was hot stuff now, but she lacked self-awareness and got more and more arrogant. She was not a professional actress and wasn’t naturally talented. Nicolas thought about turning her into a superstar after she became famous.
He hired some badass acting coaches to train her, but she was too lazy to care about improving her skills.
To make more money, she took on some small brand endorsements on the side and said she had events to attend so she couldn’t attend lessons. She only attended twice out of the lessons worth tens of thousands each with a dismissive attitude.
The teacher wasn’t in it for the money but for helping a friend. When he saw Sydney’s attitude, he quit instantly.
She had no ambition to improve, only cared about the fleeting fame from fans, and she wanted an S-level contract?
For an actress who could be easily replaced like this, just let her go if she wanted to leave.
Celeste glanced at Liam.
Why was he not reacting at all to his ex-lover being criticized like this?
