Sydney’s fans treated these questioners as haters and the complaints and questions continued, causing a lot of controversy online and stirring up resentment from bystanders, leading to even more netizens fighting back.
The incident escalated, and some of Sydney’s team’s actions were exposed, including using the accident to hype up her love life, indulging fans in spamming official condolence posts, and abusing privileges during the rescue. Someone even dug up her past where she was allegedly involved with a married man before she became famous.
This storm eventually made it to the top of the trending news list.
Trisha sneered and said to Celeste, “She loves hyping herself up, right? Let her have her fill this time!”
Celeste stared at the screen and muttered, “Why do I feel like I’ve seen this account exposing her before?”
Trisha paused and said, “A lot of people have used this avatar before, so it’s not weird to feel like you’ve seen it.” She then changed the subject, “What’s your schedule for today?”
Celeste looked up and replied, “I’m going to Galaxy Games for a sound check, then picking up my car. Wanna join?”
Trisha, “I have an outdoor shoot today, so it’s not on the way. I’ll leave first and contact you after work.”
After Trisha left, Celeste tidied up and went out.
Galaxy Games was a gaming company that had been developing rapidly in recent years. Legend was a mobile game they planned to launch this summer. All the other characters‘ voice acting had been completed, but the voice for the siren had
not been finalized.
The director wanted a voice that was both pure and seductive, but none of the actors who auditioned quite made the cut. He then tweeted his frustration and received many replies recommending Celestial Haze, so he director looked up her work
and contacted her.
When Celeste arrived at Galaxy Games, the receptionist girl was in a group chat criticizing Celestial Haze with other haters.
The receptionist didn’t know much about Celestial Haze, but she was a fan of Sydney. When Mystery Lover was popular, the lead actress had made the trending list several times due to her lines and acting skills. Netizens generally believed that Celestial Haze’s voice acting saved Sydney’s poor actual acting. This made Sydney’s fans feel that Celestial Haze was just trying to ride Sydney’s coattails.
Someone in the group chat had just posted a photo allegedly of Celestial Haze. The receptionist girl was discussing her ugly appearance with everyone when she suddenly heard a clear voice next to her, “Excuse me, how do I get to the soundcheck room?”
The receptionist girl looked up and answered, “Seven…” The next second, she got startled and blurted out, “Auditions for
actors are next door.”
Celeste’s appearance was simply too outstanding. Even in a plain white shirt, her features were still stunning, making everyone around her seem like mere background. The receptionist girl instinctively assumed Celeste was auditioning for an acting role.
Celeste grinned and explained, “I’m here for a sound check, where’s the room for that?”
“It’s on the seventh floor.” Wait a sec! There was only one sound test actor today…
“Thanks.” Celeste said,
It wasn’t until Celeste left that the receptionist snapped out of it and typed into her phone, “I just saw Celestial Haze…”
“For real? Just like in the pictures, ugly and fat?”
The receptionist struggled to reply, “No… she’s so gorgeous, even Sydney can’t compare to her.”
