My Rich Hot and Infertile (Or Maybe Not) Husband Chapter 220

Chapter 220
“So the salary I offer might not be as high as in your previous jobs. But during the shoot, your food and accommodation will be fully covered, and I’ll try my best not to arrange work for you on weekends. If you think it’s OK, let’s sign. But if you think it’s not suitable, you can ask Trisha to help you find other jobs.”
Janetta hesitated for a moment, thinking the salary offered was quite high. When she worked with those top stars before, she indeed made a lot of money. But she’s been out of the industry for two to three years, and the new employer was a newcomer to the circle, so the salary was still quite good. She’s excited but remained calm, “I can sign the contract now.”
Celeste smiled, “The contract hasn’t been printed yet. When it’s ready, I’ll have Trisha contact you to sign it. Today, we have to shoot a short play, so I may need you to start working today”
Trisha was surprised, “A short play?”
It was on the way that Celeste told her about Michaela asking for help last night.
“I plan to do this as a charity performance, without payment.
Trisha concurred enthusiastically. “This is indeed a positive move. Although the remuneration for a short play might not be substantial, the experience it offers is invaluable. Once your work gains popularity, people seeking information about you will find such experiences highly appealing. While our goal isn’t image construction, adapting to the norms of this industry is critical. We don’t have to instigate conflict, but should others show hostility, we must be particularly cautious.”
There are many cases where actors become famous and then their dishonorable past is exposed. Some of these past events aren’t even dirt. But if it’s dug up by someone with an agenda, it can have a significant impact on a rising artist.
Janetta added, “Also, in our previous show, besides the quality and values of the script, the actor’s personal background was also considered. If the actor has a charity performance background, the entertainment company will favor them. And in the future, if there are any related activities, they will prefer those artists without dishonorable past”
It seems that helping out this time was indeed the right choice.
*So, are you still planning on going on that Star Showdown variety show?”
“I won’t. Remember I signed a contract with Zach Miller? During the shooting period, I won’t take any commercial performances as Celestial Haze.” Besides, that variety show’s script was too ridiculous, and she didn’t want to go along with a bunch of fake drama.
Trisha was a little disappointed, but respected her decision.
Trisha went to the company halfway, and Janetta accompanied her to the set.
When they arrived at the filming location, Celeste discovered that the crew’s budget was really tight. The filming location was actually a few rented rooms in a rundown local community
There were only a dozen crew members in total, besides the actors, with a few of them being detectives who were pulled in to help.
But everyone was serious, and they were very enthusiastic when they saw the arriving actors.
What Celeste remained unaware of was that during this half-month preparation phase, scores of actors had flooded in for auditions, yet not a single one of them held the charm and beauty she possessed.
Busy days with no time for dating, these single young people became even more enthusiastic when they saw such a beautiful girl.
But with just one sentence from Michaela, everyone’s enthusiasm disappeared “She’s already married, guys. Let’s focus on work.”
When everyone left, Michaela asked her, “Did you have anything going on last night? Actually, you could have come tomorrow too.” Celeste smiled, “I was just chilling at home anyway, so I thought I’d come early to get used to it.”
Michaela didn’t ask any more questions.
Celeste’s performance was excellent, and she understood precisely what the director wanted. The scene went so smoothly, it was hard to believe. Her lines were lively and immersive, even making her co-actors perform well
It was the smoothest day of shooting in the past two weeks
By the time they firushed, it was already dark outside
The director couldn’t stop praising her, asking when she would be available to come back and shoot some more scenes.
Fearing that Celeste might get annoyed, Michaela declined on her behalf. “Come on, she came here to help you out, and you’re treating her like free labor?
