My Rich Hot and Infertile (Or Maybe Not) Husband Chapter 420

Chapter 420
“Alright,” Celeste asked as she opened the safe, where are we meeting
“How about the cafe where we first met when you were looking for tawyer?” Ma suggested gents Dive care, as) Da
bit late”
“Okay, see you in a bit.”
After hanging up. Celeste took out the stuff Caitlyn left in the safe, put it in her bag and headed out wearing
The traffic was really awful
What would usually take twenty minutes took over thirty
By the time she got to the cafe, Mason had been waiting for quite some time.
He sat by the window, overlooking the busy street outside.
Celeste pulled out a chair and whispered, “Sorry for keeping you waiting”
“It’s fine, I just got off work,” Mason replied warmly “What do you want to drink?
“Just milk, please.”
He nodded and ordered, “A hot milk and a half-sugar latte”
“Make it two hot milks. You can’t sleep if you drink coffee at night*
Celeste blurted it out, and then regretted it.
She and Mason were not that close yet to decide for one another
Liam used to have a habit of drinking coffee in the evening. Although it helped him get through long work hours, he had trouble sleeding later
She was used to controlling Liam’s diet, so when she saw Mason ordering coffee, she habitually stopped it. Mason looked at he surprised
Thinking fast, Celeste said, “Didn’t you mention last time that drinking too much coffee keeps you awake at night it quitting smoking la difficult, you could try chewing gum.”
She took a stick of gum from her bag and handed it to Mason
It was something she got from a makeup artist during a shooting a few days back.
Mason smiled, “You remembered.”
Taking the gum, he told the waiter, “Alright, two hot milks then”
Across the street, in a Maserati, Liam watched the two of them with a gloomy expression.
Celeste took out the documents from her bag and handed them to Mason, “This notebook has the contact info of the former emplover wanted. The files below are evidence my mom found of Shawn and his relatives embezzling funds from the company. Here’s the divorce agreement they signed seven years ago.”
Mason took everything and looked it over carefully.
As he did so, he asked, “Did you make copies of all this?”
“I took photos of everything”
“It’s best to make photocopies too,” Mason advised without looking up “Always good to have an extra set”
“Alright, I’ll do it when I get home.”
“What’s this?” Mason pushed the notebook back towards her. “I can’t quite read it’
Leaning in, Celeste tried to see before admitting. I can’t either
It seemed some customers entered into the café, with the waiter welcoming them.
Just take a picture for now. We can call and ask about it later if needed.”
As Celeste spoke, she suddenly felt a piercing gaze.
She looked up, only to see Liam approaching them with a gloomy face.
Not having seen him all day, Liam’s face looked terrible, like he hadn’t slept. He had changed, but not into the clothes she stubble on his face hadn’t been shaved yet.
“Liam…”
Just as she called his name, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her up from her chair.
Owen. The ne
det almost broke it.
But he ignored her dragging her out of the café.
Starting to get angry, Celeste struggled against him.
Liam was infuriated by her struggling, yanking her out from between the tables and chairs.
Her knee hit the edge of a chair, causing an intense pain that made her cry out
Mason furrowed his brow, stepping between the two Liam, talk calmly and stop being rough.”
With a cold face, Liam replayed, “Get out of my way!”
Instead, Mason stepped closer to him
“If you want to discuss things, do it calmly. If you’re going to get rough, as a friend or a professional, I won’t let you take Celeste away”
Liam clenched his fist I say it one last time, get out of my way!”
Mason stared back at him, unwavering.
On the verge of losing it, Celeste spoke. “Mr. Fletcher, that’s enough for today. You should go.”
Mason frowned. “He’s not in the right state of mind. I can’t let him take you”
“He won’t hit me.” Celeste reassured, biting her lip. TI talk to you later”
“Celeste, violence isn’t limited to just hitting,” Mason said firmly, glancing at her wrist. “Liam, you hurt her.”
Liam’s anger surged, and he grabbed Mason’s collar, shoving him aside.
With a crash, Mason stumbled and fell over some chairs, landing heavily on the floor.
The cafe was in chaos as frightened customers fled while staff stayed back, too afraid to intervene.
“Mr. Fletcher!” Not expecting Liam to actually attack, Celeste was furious. “Let go of me! Liam! Have you gone mad?!”
Without even looking at Mason, Liam dragged Celeste out and shoved her into the car.
As Celeste tried to peek outside, Liam grabbed her hands and shoved her down in the seat, kissing her fiercely.
She struggled to dodge him but only made him angrier. He pinned her hands above her head and grabbed her chin, biting her lip again.
“Let go of me…mmph…”
Despite her efforts, Liam didn’t loosen his grip, his actions becoming even more aggressive due to her resistance. Celeste was not to be outdone either. If he dared to probe her mouth, she’d bite back for sure! But Liam just went ahead and pinched both her cheeks, so she couldn’t clench her teeth, and then continued his wild assault.
