Klaus’s POV:
I woke up around ten in the morning, and found Ella still sleeping.
I tried to make as little noise as possible so I don’t wake her as I went into the bathroom and took a quick shower.
I didn’t expect her to be awake when I walked out of the bathroom; in only a towel covering my lower body, as my eyes met her sleepy ones. I saw the quickest blush I have ever seen appear on her cheeks as she stared at me with wide shocked eyes.
She instantly turned her head away from me in embarra*s*sment.
Her reaction was hilarious. Being in a werewolf pack, you’d think she was used to n@kedness.
I found myself smiling as I said apologetically, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to embarr@ssyou, I’m just not used to sharing the room yet. I will take my clothes with me next time.”
She didn’t say anything as I disappeared into the closet to get dressed for the day.
I wore the usual black jeans and black t shirt.
When I walked out of the closet, the room was empty.
I went out to the dining table to catch a quick bite before starting my mission for the day, get my answers from the dirt bag Daniel.
I’ve spent the last three days visiting him twice. Once in the morning, and once in the evening. But it was useless. He still refused to talk. Even after I had one of the guardians brutally t*ortur*e him, nonstop. He still wasn’t breaking.
Today, I was fed up with waiting. I was fed up with his continuous scorning and sneering att*itude that he never gave up on even after severe torturing, the son of a b*tch was immune to pain. I decided today will be the day I get my answers from him, no matter what it takes. I had an idea to make him spill his guts that I have been thinking about since last night, but I wasn’t sure if it will work or not. I needed to ask one of the elders about it.
I heard Ella open the bedroom door and walk out, I had my back to her, but I felt her hesitate a little before she came and sat on my left side. On Joseph’s usual chair.
The first time she came in here popped into my head then. Her sadness when she fled from the room because she deeply felt my father and Kate’s absence from the table. She sat on Joseph’s chair because she was afraid of upsetting me if she sat on Kate’s chair on my right side.
I tried to make her feel at ease and forget the last time she sat on this table.
“Good morning,” I said with a huge smile.
She looked at me and relaxed at my smile, as she smiled back and said “Good morning”
“So what are you planning to do today?” I asked her.
“I don’t know, I don’t have any plans. There are no studying or training sessions today. Because of how late our wedding celebration ended yesterday.”
“I can train with you today, If you want of course.”
“Yes, that would be great. What time are you free?” she asked eagerly.
I couldn’t help but notice that she came a long way in just a few weeks, from accusing me of trying to hurt her through training and refusing my help, to accepting it so eagerly now. It made me so happy and glad.

“I’m not sure yet but probably after four. I will let you know as soon as I finish”
She nodded her head in agreement.
I wipe my mouth with the napkin and get up.
“I have to go now. You can do whatever you want Ella. This is your home from now on. If you get bored from sitting inside you can go out around the pack, or go to the mall to buy something for yourself”
I take out my wallet and give her one of my credit cards.
“The password is k1997m.”
I desperately wanted to k!ss her on her forehead and smell her hair at the same time; there was something damn addicting about that smell that always kept me coming back for more, but I held myself in fear of scaring her with my touch.
I gave her a small wave and went out the door.
I went over to Isaac’s place, out of all three of them elders, Isaac was the one I liked the most.
I knocked twice on his door and waited.
A servant opened the door and straightened up when he saw me.
“Good morning. Can I talk to Mr. Isaac please, if he is available?”
“Good morning alpha, come in,” the servant lets me in and closes the door behind me.
He motions for me to sit in the living room while he informs Isaac of my presence.
A few minutes later, Isaac emerges from one of the rooms and walks over to me, we shake hands, and sit opposite each other.
“Congratulations on your wedding alpha. She looks like a very lovely girl, I hope you live together the happiest of days,” he said politely.
“Thank you very much sir. I came to ask you a question that only you can answer.”
“I’m all ears, what is on your mind alpha?”
“I want to ask you about the submission ritual. Is it obligatory for a person to verbally submit their loyalty to another alpha in order to become a part of his pack?”
“No it is not necessary, the verbal part of the ritual is only traditional. The real ritual is in mixing the blood of the alpha with the other person’s blood and ingesting it. By doing this, he will automatically become loyal to your commands.”
Just as I suspected. Today will be the day I finally get the whole damn truth. I get up, thank him for his help, and leave his place.
I mind linked Joseph right away “Morning Joseph, where are you?”
“Morning, I am on my way to the office, why?”
“Meet me in Daniel’s cell, and bring a syringe and a plastic cup with you”
“Okay” he said in confusion at my unusual request.
Ten minutes later, we are both staring at a very t*ortur*ed Daniel. Despite all the pain he must be experiencing, his annoying bravado never wavered.
“Aren’t we all tired of doing the same thing every day? You’re never getting anything from me, I already told you,” He said in weak hostility.
“Well, today is different Daniel. Today we will get everything you keep hidden within that extremely annoying head of yours,” I said while gritting my teeth.
He gave me a scornful look as he said, “Really? How so?”
“We are extending you the great honor of becoming a part of our pack today,” I gave him back the same look he just gave to me.
Just a little, very brief twitch from his eyes told me that he was rattled by what I said. I extended my hand to Joseph as he handed me an empty syringe and a plastic cup. I took them, pulled out a small sharp knife from my pocket, and made a small cut on the palm of my hand. I collected the blood into the empty cup.
“Hold his arm,” I ordered Joseph.
He tried to fight us, but it was useless, he was chained tightly, resisting was futile. I made a deep cut on his arm, not caring one bit about being sensitive towards his pain, as he growled in fury.
I collected his blood into the cup, gave it a little shake to mix properly, then drew both our mixed blood into the syringe.
“Bottoms up,” I said with a cruel smile as I struck the syringe into his arm and pushed it all the way.
He threw a fit of intense rage as we stepped away from him, furthermore confirming my theory about this.
“Are we sure this will work without verbal consent? We need to test it before we start the real questioning just to be on the safe side,” Joseph mind linked me.
I nodded, way ahead of him on this.
I gave him a few more minutes before I used my alpha-command power on him “Repeat after me the following sentence exactly: Grey was a sad*stic sick bastard and I am not loyal to him anymore.”
The most painful scream I heard from him until now escaped his lips as he fought against my command so hard.
I breathed a sigh of relief, the submission ritual has worked.
After two minutes, he gave up to the order and said in gritted teeth, “Grey was a sad*stic sick bastard and… I am… not loyal to him… Anymore,” as soon as he finished the sentence, he started yanking on his chains frantically, trying to reach for me.
“Whatever and whenever I alpha command you from this moment onward, you will answer us with complete honesty, without hiding the slightest detail from us. You will answer with the whole truth, and nothing but the whole truth,” I alpha-commanded him without leaving any loopholes for him to use on me.
He gave me a murderous look, that slowly changed into a grin as he said coldly, “I will tell you everything, don’t you worry. After all, the satisfaction of witnessing how the truth will destroy you both will be worth dying for.”
