My Rich Hot and Infertile (Or Maybe Not) Husband Chapter 645

Chapter 645
Liam stopped and turned to look at Owen, simply replying. “That’s her dream”
He could act as Owen suggested, let Celeste experience the cutthroat nature of society, let her sink into the mire, and then come to her rescue like a knight in shining armor Show her how cruel and scary the world can be without him, and keep her by his side like a caged canary
But Celeste was not a canary. Although she had been living a life of luxury, carelessly spending money, her spirit had been dimming daily
She would toss and turn at night, looking at her former classmates achieving success in their careers. While watching TV shows, she would point at an actor and say, “That’s my classmate xxx. He wasn’t as good as me back in school, but look at him now, everyone’s working so hard”
He wanted to keep her in a cage but never locked it.
Celeste had been in the cage for so long she didn’t want to fly out
Just like a baby elephant chained up by its owner, even when it grew up and had the strength to break free, it lacked the courage to do so.
Now that she had stepped out of the cage unless she chose to go back in herself, he would never lay that trap and destroy her dreams.
Owen was taken aback and quietly said, “I understand.”
As they passed the audition suite, Liam suddenly stopped
The carpet under his feet felt different from elsewhere
Looking down, he saw that it was damp. Everywhere else was bright red, but the spot under his feet was dark red
The damp trail led to a narrow door a few meters away
Owen curiously said, “There’s a leak. Wait, why does it smell like alcohol?”
Liam glanced at the door and was about to walk away when suddenly, a large amount of alcohol began to seep out from under the door.
“Sorry for the inconvenience,” a waiter rushed out, apologizing nervously, “Please walk on the left side, guests. There’s been a leak in our alcohol storage, I’ll have someone clean it up immediately”
Just a leak? More like a flood
Liam glanced at the door and said, “Open it.”
The waiter was startled “I’m sorry, sir, but this is also an employee changing room containing many personal belongings. It would violate their privacy…
“Open it!”
Liam’s patience was weaning thin, his face turning stern.
The waiter was startled. Liam had been controlling his aura, but now that he was angry, his overpowering presence was giving off a strong sense of intimidation
The kind of pressure that comes from someone in power was overwhelmingly strong.
But the waiter had taken money from the other party, promising to keep her locked until nine, and it was only twenty minutes to nine. How was he supposed to get the rest of the money if she was released now?
However, he soon regained his composure. The owner of Azure Club was a big shot in the capital. Who would dare to cause trouble here in J City?
So, he suppressed his fear and insisted, Tm sorry, but I’ll have to ask the manager’s permission.”
Owen took out his phone and said, “Hello, Mr. Manager, there’s a waiter here refusing to open a door. Can you visit the ninth floor and check what’s going on? Mr. Reed is waiting
The waiter’s face went all pale
What! What! They went straight to his manager
Three minutes later, the manager rushed to the scene, ready to give the waiter a piece of his mind. But Liam cut him off, “Get the door first.”
The manager turned his head, itching to give the waiter a good telling–off. “Where’s the key? Open the door, pronto!”
In a panic, the waiter fetched the key from the duty room. His hands shook so much that he couldn’t get the key into the keyhole
Owen took the key from his hand and, with a stem face, opened the door.
