My Rich Hot and Infertile (Or Maybe Not) Husband Chapter 310

Chapter 310
Celeste paused for a moment, then realized what was going on as she saw Liam’s red neck and face.
Trying not to laugh, she teased, “Nice stuff, huh?”
Liam’s forehead was covered with a thin layer of sweat. He just tightened the blanket around himself and ignored her.
Celeste wasn’t about to let this rare opportunity to see Liam in such a funny state go to waste. She narrowed her eyes and moved closer, asking, “Mr. Reed, how’s that soup working out for ya? Feeling all hot and bothered like they show in those TV dramas, huh? Look at you sweating like crazy! You must be burning up!?”
She purposely leaned in close to Liam, waving her hand back and forth to cause some cold air for him.
The sweet scent of her showered body wafted over with her movements. It was somehow irresistibly enticing, even though it smelled just like her own.
His gaze wandered from her face to her lips, then down to her delicate collarbone.
Her skin was so delicate that even the slightest pressure would leave visible marks lasting all night long. They were like marks that belonged only to him.
Barely looking away, Liam gritted his teeth and said, “Stay away from me!”
“But how could I?” she protested. “You’re in such a terrible state. I have to take good care of you, otherwise, I just wouldn’t feel right about taking that billion.”
Liam’s speechless.
Celeste’s expression was so fake. He was certain she must’ve been having the time of her life in her head!
Pretending to be concerned, she continued, “That’s just weird. You’ve been fine for the past few months, but now suddenly it’s this bad after just one bowl of soup? You sure you’re not faking it?”
Liam nearly choked on his own spit. He quickly rolled over, pinning the playful woman beneath him. Holding her chin, he growled, “Do you still think I’m faking now?”
Celeste stiffened, wearing nothing but her thin nightgown. When Liam pressed down on her, she quickly felt exactly what was hard and what was soft on his body.
Perhaps…. this was going a little too far.
She gave a nervous laugh. “Looks like Grandpa David’s soup really was something special after all. Maybe you should go deal with this in the
restroom?”
Liam lowered his gaze to look at the woman beneath him.
She tried her best to look composed, but her eyes were avoiding his. Her ears were blushed red, the color spreading from her neck to her collarbone.
She wasn’t as composed as she seemed.
Liam brushed his fingers gently over her cheek and rasped, “No need for anything so bothersome. It’d be a shame to let Grandpa David’s special soup go to waste. Why don’t we give it a try?” With that, he went to kiss her.
Celeste’s eyes widened in panic, and she quickly covered his lips with her hand. “I’m at my most fertile right now!”
Liam softly kissed the palm of her hand and slowly looked up. “Perfect.”
As he leaned in once more, Celeste hesitated. If she pushed him away, would he deduct it from her money? Just then, her phone rang.
She quickly escaped from Liam to answer the call.
Liam frowned, visibly annoyed, as he tried to get closer to her once more.
Just before their lips could meet, Skyler’s voice came through the phone, “Celeste, are you asleep?”
Liam stopped. Celeste took the opportunity to push him away and answer the phone, “Not yet, mother, what’s up?”
“Tomorrow there’s a family gathering at the old house to discuss Grandma’s birthday plans. You and Liam better not be late.”
“Isn’t Grandma’s birthday still a month away? Are we preparing for it now?”
“The Reed family’s birthdays don’t involve merely eating a meal and calling it a day. If it wasn’t for you causing trouble and upsetting the old lady, preparations would’ve begun long ago. This is already considered late.”
Celeste stayed silent.
“Her 70th birthday party was organized by Clyde. Normally, it’s our turn to host the 80th. However, it ultimately depends on what Grandma wants. Be careful with your words tomorrow, and be smart.”
“I understand.”
After saying a few more words, Skyler hung up.

Celeste put the phone down and asked Liam, “What does Mom mean by ‘be smart‘? Is she trying to organize Grandma’s birthday party this year?” Liam glanced at her. It would be more accurate to ask who doesn’t want to organize Grandma’s birthday party.”
“I definitely don’t,” Celeste burrowed into the blanket, staring at the ceiling. “Birthday parties are so much work; you have to be so detailed and consider both the birthday person’s feelings and the guests‘. Doesn’t sound like an easy thing at all.”
Liam also lay down. “Do you know how much money and gifts Grandmother received on her 70th birthday?”
The next day, the crew added an extra scene at the last minute, so Celeste finished work half an hour later than expected.
They were the last ones to arrive at the old house.
As soon as they met, Skyler frowned and asked, “What took you guys so long?”
