My Rich Hot and Infertile (Or Maybe Not) Husband Chapter 556

Chapter 556
When she found out when these two properties were registered, Celeste was a bit puzzled.
These two houses were not transferred to her after she and Liam divorced. They were transferred while they were still married. This revelation left her with an unexplainable feeling.
Houses were not like designer bags or pretty clothes, which were just for decoration. They gave people a sense of security. When site used to brush forums, Celeste often saw that kind of post, for example:
After five years of marriage with two children, the husband won’t add his wife’s name to the room book. Should they divorce?
A girl’s fiance paid a down payment to buy a house while the man said that the girl should pay for the decoration. After marriage, the two of them would pay for the mortgage together. The girl then asked him to add her name to the room book, but he said that girls should not be so materialistic. Does the girl still want to get married?
After paying the mortgage for three years, a girl found that her mother–in–law’s name was written on the room book. What should the girl do?
She had read countless posts like this.
At that time, she also thought about whether to let Liam add her name to the real estate license.
She even went to turn over the marriage law.
The marriage law told her that whoever bought the house before marriage will own it. Of course, if the other party was interested in giving it and was willing to add name, it will be stipulated separately.
When she saw it, she didn’t have a dime, and she wanted the other party to add her name. It was a bit shameless, so she gave up.
It never occurred to her that as early as a long time ago, Liam drew two properties in her name.
She never thought that Liam had already transferred two properties under her name a long time ago.
Regardless of how things ended up between her and Liam, these two properties were more than enough to ensure she lived comfortably for the rest of her life.
If Liam really thought about her future, why did he let Skyler Reed drug her to prevent pregnancy?
If he didn’t want kids, why didn’t he discuss it with her instead of using such methods?
Harming her on the one hand and planning for her future on the other, she found it harder and harder to understand Liam.
Celeste suppressed her emotions and said in a deep voice, “If you have time, come to the housing authority and transfer the properties under my name to yours.”
Upon hearing this, Liam became irritated. “All for this?”
“This is a big deal for me,” Celeste pursed her lips, “Without the transfer, I won’t even have the eligibility to buy a house in J City.”
Liam frowned. “You already have a house; why do you need to buy another?”
“That’s your house. The housing authority closes at 5:30. There’s still over an hour left; you should hurry up.”
She didn’t even want to argue about when he transferred the properties under her name; she just wanted to cut ties with him.
Liam clenched his fist, his face cold. “I don’t have time!”
Celeste frowned. “When will you have time? I’m kind of in a hurry to buy a house.”
“If you’re in a hurry, um-” He was cut off by Nicolas, who ran over and covered his mouth.
“Hey, Celeste, it’s me. Liam and I are out. We’re starting a project soon, and Liam’s been busy with site surveys. He probably won’t have time for a while.”
Liam glared at him, trying to pry off the hand covering his mouth.
Nicolas held the phone away and whispered, “If you still want Celeste as your wife, you better watch your mouth!”
Liam’s hand stopped in midair. He stared at Nicolas with icy eyes, but he didn’t struggle anymore.
Upon hearing this, Celeste immediately furrowed her brows and said, “It only takes an hour or two; can’t you squeeze that in?”
“Really can’t. How about this: don’t buy a house; just live in one of the ones under your name. They’re all yours anyway; why give them back to him? Isn’t your youth worth a house?”
It made sense; if it was Trisha who said this, she would accept. After all, she’s her best friend. But Nicolas was Liam’s good friend; would he speak for her?
Celeste pursed her lips and said, “I don’t want to owe Liam anything. When will he be free?”
1/2
“Oh boy, I really can’t say. How about this: if you have nowhere to live, I have a house in Grandview Heights. It’s already renovated; you can live there with no rent. Wait until Liam is done, then you two can…”
His voice started to cut out as he rubbed a tissue back and forth on the phone’s microphone. “Dis…cuss… Sig…nal… bad… Hang…ing up…”
Then he hung up.
Liam???
Nicolas handed the phone back to him and said, “Don’t take the house back; she’ll come looking for you. Are you still worried about her blocking you?”
Liam…
It sounded a bit harsh, but it made sense.
Nicolas lay back down and said, “When pursuing a girl, don’t lay all your cards on the table. People, whether men or women, won’t appreciate what they’ve got. And you said Celeste was never mature anyway, right?”
