My Rich Hot and Infertile (Or Maybe Not) Husband Chapter 446

Chapter 446
Chapter 446
After finishing his work in the morning, Mason headed to the hospital.
He went with Nicolas, who had already been informed about Caitlyn’s passing.
Nicolas was also trying to contact Liam and had already notified the Reed family.
Caitlyn was fine when Nicolas visited her a couple of days ago, but now she was gone.
Nicolas lamented Caitlyn’s death. Upon arriving at the hospital and not seeing Celeste, he instead saw the female robber from that night.
He was taken aback, “You…”
“Shut up!” Trisha glared at him and then turned to Mason, “Mr. Fletcher, you’re here so early?”
Nicolas was speechless.
Mason nodded, “I just finished my work and came over to see if I could help with anything. Where’s Celeste?”
“She’s in the doctor’s office. Her test results came out, and the doctor probably has something to say to her,” Trisha said while checking the time. “It’s been too long, why hasn’t she come out yet? I’ll go ask.”
As she spoke, the door to the doctor’s office opened, and Celeste emerged, looking somewhat gloomy.
Trisha hurried over, “Celeste, what’s the matter? Did the doctor say there was something wrong?”
Celeste seemed to snap back to reality when she heard Trisha’s voice and her expression softened slightly. She whispered, “It’s nothing, the doctor said I’ve just been staying up too late lately. I just need to rest.”
Trisha breathed a sigh of relief and hugged her, “I’m glad you’re okay. You really scared me yesterday.”
Celeste patted Trisha’s back and looked at Nicolas and Mason.
“Mr. Francis, Mr. Fletcher, my mother’s body will be laid out at Serenity Avenue Funeral Home tomorrow. If you’re free, you can come and pay your respects. My mother doesn’t have many friends, and I hope her funeral will be lively.”
Nicolas hesitated and frowned.
“Celeste, isn’t tomorrow a bit too soon? Liam hasn’t come back yet, and you’re rushing the funeral. What will people think?”
Celeste looked at Nicolas sarcastically, “I can’t bury my mother if he doesn’t come back?”
Nicolas was caught off guard.
Celeste seemed to be in a bad mood today.
He explained, “I didn’t mean that, I…”
Celeste interrupted him, “If you don’t want to come because of Liam, then forget it.”
Nicolas was speechless.
He hadn’t said anything. So why was she still angry?
Mason broke the awkward silence, “What time does it start tomorrow?”
“Ten in the morning.” Celeste whispered. “After the body is laid out, we’ll cremate her and bury her at two in the afternoon.”
“Alright, we’ll be there on time.”
Nicolas was upset after leaving the hospital, “Mason, why did you keep pulling me back just now? Liam hasn’t even come back yet, how can we have the funeral? What will people think?”
Mason glanced at him, “Can you contact Liam?”
Nicolas felt choked up, “I really can’t get a hold of him. I don’t know what shady business he’s up to, but all his communication channels are shut down. Owen too; there’s no news at all.” He sighed, “Judging by Celeste’s demeanor, she’s probably furious. If he doesn’t come back for the funeral, I think there’s going to be trouble.”
