My Rich Hot and Infertile (Or Maybe Not) Husband Chapter 442

Chapter 442
Celeste suddenly collapsed on the ground, unconscious.
Trisha freaked out right away, her voice trembled, “Letti! Letti! What’s wrong with you? Don’t scare me like this!”
Mason’s face turned tense, and he quickly walked over and bent down to help Celeste up.
Her face was pale, her eyes had dark circles, and her lips were almost devoid of blood..
Mason told Trisha, “Stop yelling, go get a doctor now.”
“Right, the doctor,” Trisha hurriedly stood up and ran out, shouting as she went, “Doctor! Doctor! Help!”
Mason frowned, having performed first aid but Celeste still didn’t respond, he had no choice but to carry her.
Soon, under Trisha’s guidance, the nurses came with a bed, Mason put Celeste on it, and followed them to the emergency room with Trisha,
Trisha was very anxious.
After about ten minutes, the doctor walked out of the emergency room.
The doctor said Celeste might have fainted due to poor rest, combined with nervous tension and anemia. However, he recommended a full body check–up because it’s unusual for someone her age to suddenly faint, and it’s safer to have a check–up.
Meanwhile, in the City of A.
The operating room light finally went off, and Liam stood up. Not long after, the doctor came out pushing a bed.
Sydney was lying on it, still unconscious.
Liam went straight past her to the bed behind.
Coco was asleep, her little face pale, still holding the candy Liam had taken from his car when she went in.
The doctor said that when she entered, she kept babbling about wanting to see “Aunty Campbell.” After being anesthetized, she lost consciousness within seconds, but her hand kept gripping the candy, refused to let it go.
Liam gently pried her hand open and took out the candy.
It was a mint candy that Celeste had given him in the car when they were eating with Mason before.
He’d kept it in his car, and Coco found it this time when they came to the City of A.
When she heard it was from Celeste, she put it in her pocket, not expecting to bring it all the way to the operating room.
Liam looked at the mint candy in his hand and stuffed it back into Coco’s hand.
When the doctor came out, Liam asked, “Dr. Denton, how was it?”
“The surgery was successful, but we’ll have to see how she recovers in the next few days. As long as the patient doesn’t have a rejection reaction, she’ll be mostly stable, and as long as she keeps taking her medication, she can recover to the same level as a normal person.”
Coco was born prematurely and had been living on the brink of life and death since birth due to severe regenerative anemia and a rare blood type. She’s almost seven but looks only five years old.
The surgery should have been done when she was older. But now Coco’s growth has slowed down compared to her peers, so the surgery couldn’t wait any longer.
Fortunately, everything went smoothly.
Dr. Denton suddenly asked, “Mr. Reed, what’s your relationship with this child?”
Liam paused, glanced at him, and didn’t answer.
Dr. Denton was the most experienced expert in bone marrow transplantation, and Liam had invited him all the way to City A for this surgery. His mysterious movements made him very curious.
Realizing he had asked a question he shouldn’t have, Dr. Denton changed the subject, saying, “As long as there’s no rejection reaction three days, you can leave. She needs to stay in the hospital for at least a month.”
What he meant was, the longer you stay, the easier it is for people to find out.
Liam didn’t respond and turned to leave.
After settling Coco in the ward, Liam suddenly said to Owen, “Book a flight for the day after tomorrow.”
