My Rich Hot and Infertile (Or Maybe Not) Husband Chapter 163

Chapter 163
Celeste said, feeling down, “What’s the use of worrying? Nothing will change because of my worries. They won’t make me better, but only make me sink deeper. Every time someone jokingly says that my marriage is good, I feel really upset. I know most of these words are just jokes, and they just think I’m lucky. I was lucky to enter the Reed family, but luck is not eternal. If one day I fall, there will be even more people laughing at me. Now, I’m trying to climb up by holding on to whatever I can, just so I won’t be too pathetic when I leave. I also want him to understand that my willingness to let him support me is not because I can only rely on him for support. There was no need to say who “he” was.
As a single person, Trisha naturally couldn’t fully understand the thoughts of someone like Celeste who had fallen in love. But seeing her best friend regain her confidence and optimism made her happy.
The car soon arrived at the destination. At first, Celeste thought she had the wrong address. The so-called studio didn’t even have a sign. It was just a glass sliding door with half a letter missing.
Trisha whispered to her, “Did Zach get scammed by the company? Why is the studio so shabby?” It wasn’t actually shabby, but compared to Zach’s fame, the studio indeed seemed a bit too simple.
As they entered, there was no receptionist at the door. The studio was quite large but seemed to have few people. Celeste stopped someone and asked, “Excuse me, is Director Zach here?” The person looked her up and down with a pair of glasses and asked, “He’s not here. What do you want with him?”
“Mr. Miller called me for an audition. We agreed on 9:30”
“An audition?” The person frowned, “For what? I never heard him say anything about it.” Celeste said, “Mr. Miller contacted me last night. He might not have had time to tell you.”
“Then which role are you auditioning for?”
“Phoenix Fire”
“Impossible!” The person immediately denied, “All the roles for Phoenix Fire have been confirmed. How could he let you come for an audition? Your face is very unique, and I haven’t seen you before. Which investor introduced you?”
I’m a newcomer. I’ve attended auditions before, so you might not have seen me,” Celeste explained patiently.
“Who did you audition for before?”
“The wealthy lady.”
The person hesitated, looked at Celeste again, and said, “Zach never gives second chances. How did you, a newbie, manage this?”
Celeste smiled, “Maybe Mr. Miller’s and I have a special kind of compatibility.”
The person snorted, “Your face is too beautiful. You should consider acting in idol dramas, and you might make a fortune.”
Before Celeste could reply, Trisha couldn’t hold back and said, “Look at yourself, mocking others for being beautiful. Are you allergic to beauty?”
The woman was speechless for a moment, then pointed at Trisha and said, “You are so rude!”
“You were being rude first!” Trisha was super pissed, and Celeste couldn’t hold her back. “We just came to ask for directions. If you wanna tell us, cool; if not, then shut up! Just because someone’s pretty doesn’t mean they’ve had plastic surgery or got to where they are by using dirty tricks!”
The woman clearly wasn’t as good with words as Trisha and was immediately so angry that her face turned red. She pointed at the door and said shakily, “Get out! I won’t talk to someone rude like you!”
The commotion quickly caught the attention of Zach, who was in the office. He came out and frowned upon seeing the scene. “What’s going on? Why are you guys arguing?”
The woman immediately ran to tell Zach, “Mr. Miller, where did you find these people? They’re so rude! I just asked a couple of extra questions, and she started cursing at me! I’ve worked with so many actors, and I’ve never seen anyone as arrogant as her!”
