My Rich Hot and Infertile (Or Maybe Not) Husband Chapter 117

Chapter 117
“Ms. Reilly, I think you got it wrong. Being a housewife doesn’t mean we’re not independent, it’s just that we play different roles in the family. My husband works outside, and I take care of the household. If one day he’s tired and needs to rest, he can stay at home, and I can go out to work. His status doesn’t affect my feelings for him. Instead, I don’t really like those who can’t make money on their own but criticize others for not being independent enough.” The jewelry store was spacious, and Celeste’s voice was just right for everyone to hear.
Most of the people who came to the store in the morning were housewives. Some were like Celeste, with good family conditions and no need to bear financial pressure; some women had to become housewives because of their children.
These women sacrificed their careers to take care of their families, and it was natural for them to feel hurt when they were belittled.
Celeste spoke the thoughts of everyone present.
Someone couldn’t help but say, “Going to work is pretty nice, if my husband is willing to stay at home, I’d be happy to work full-time.”
“What right do you have to look down on housewives?”
Adriana’s face turned red with anger as she yelled, “All of you shut up! What’s it to you?”
The salesperson reminded, “Miss, please keep quiet.”
Angel didn’t expect Adriana to be so stupid. She hadn’t even started, and she was already angry with Celeste.
She tried to appease Celeste, “Sis, my friend is just straightforward. She really likes this bracelet. If you haven’t decided yet, could you let her try it on first?”
Celeste glanced at her, “What kind of logic is that? I’m still considering, why should she try it on first? Can she guarantee she’ll buy it after trying it on? Let her wait until I’ve decided.”
With Celeste like this, Angel was helpless. If it were in the Campbell family, Shawn would have supported her, but outside the family, she couldn’t compete with Celeste at all.
Adriana gritted her teeth, “Let her take the bracelet off for me, I want it!!
The salesperson kindly reminded, “Miss, are you sure? This bracelet is very valuable, and once sold, it cannot be returned or exchanged if there are no quality issues.”
Angrily, Adriana shouted, “Can’t I afford this lousy bracelet?” She took out a credit card from her bag and threw it on the counter, “I’m buying it now!”
“I didn’t mean that,” The salesperson had to ask Celeste, “Ma’am, what do you think?”
Celeste shrugged, “The appearance and color are good, but the size is not quite right for me. Since Ms. Reilly wants to buy it, I’ll give it to her.”
She signaled the salesperson to take off the bracelet.
Adriana looked at Celeste with contempt, “Wipe it clean, I don’t want any weird smell from other women on my newly bought stuff.”
Celeste didn’t take her childish behavior to heart.
“Ms. Reilly, I’m sorry, but your credit card limit is not enough. The saleswoman said.
Adriana’s smugness didn’t last long, as she was shocked by the salesperson’s words.
She couldn’t believe it, “How is that possible? This card has a limit of five million!”
The salesperson said, “I’m sorry, but the discounted price of this bracelet is 18 million. Your limit is indeed not enough. Or are you planning on installment payments?”
