My Rich Hot and Infertile (Or Maybe Not) Husband Chapter 468

Chapter 468
She wandered around the streets and eventually stopped in front of a restaurant
Booze is a great way to ease your mood when you’re feeling super down.
She drank fast and furiously, not even touching any food At first, the owner thought it was good for business, but the more she drank, the more worried he became.
Worried that she’d have an accident if she got too drunk
So when she finished drinking and asked for more, he refused. ‘Miss, you’ve had quite a bit already. Why not order some food?”
“I’m not hungry,” Celeste replied, her head resting on her hand, her cheeks flushed, looking tipsy but speaking clearly. “Just get me another bottle of wine”
“Miss, you drove here What if you get drunk and can’t go back? Your family will worry about you.”
“I have no family. Celeste whispered. “My mom died. No one’s waiting for me to go home, and no one’s worried about me anymore.”
The owner, seeing that Celeste was not much older than his own daughter, couldn’t help but give her some advice “Even so, you shouldn’t harm your body Your mom would be heartbroken if she knew.”
Celeste sobbed silently, and the owner poured her a glass of water. “Drink this and take a nap. When you wake up, you need to live well.”
Celeste didn’t ask for any more wine. She slowly sipped the water, and the owner went to greet other customers after seeing that her condition was okay
When the restaurant got less busy, the owner looked over, and found she had fallen asleep on the table.
Her phone kept ringing on the table, but she didn’t hear it at all. The owner couldn’t wake her up even after calling her for a while, so he answered the phone for her.
Mason had filed a lawsuit with the court for the defamation case. He went over some of the evidence he had collected previously and wanted to
double–check with Celeste, so he called her.
Instead of Celeste, a middle–aged male stranger answered the phone.
“Hello?”
Mason hesitated, “Who is this?”
“Oh, this phone belongs to a customer in my restaurant. She’s drunk and sleeping here. I couldn’t wake her up, so I answered the phone for her.”
Mason frowned, “You mean she’s drinking? By herself?”
“Yes, she drove here alone. Are you her friend? Can you come and pick her up? My restaurant is about to close.”
“Where’s your restaurant?”
The owner quickly gave the address.
Mason said, “I’ll be right there. Please take care of her for me.”
“Alright.”
After hanging up, Mason grabbed his coat and left.
Shanna Fletcher was chatting with Kaylee downstairs when Mason came out. She quickly called him, “Mason, are you done? Kaylee has been waiting for you for a while. She brought you some food she made herself, knowing you might be hungry from work. Come down and try it.”
Kaylee’s voice softened a bit when she saw Mason. “I was chatting with your mom this afternoon, and she said you haven’t been eating well lately. I remember you used to love this dish, so I tried making it. It might not be perfect, but it tastes good.”
Shanna Fletcher laughed, “It’s already great. My cooking wasn’t even this good when I was young.”
Mason went straight to the door, putting on his shoes as he said, “No need, you guys eat. I have to go meet a client.”
