My Rich Hot and Infertile (Or Maybe Not) Husband Chapter 325

Chapter 325
The housemaid hesitated before whispering, “I’m not exactly sure. I was tidying up the room this morning, and he was digging up seedlings in the yard. Ms. Reed suddenly showed up, and they got into a conflict. By the time I heard the noise and came out, the old man had passed out.”
Celeste’s face darkened, “Where’s Kaylee?”
“Ms. Reed didn’t come to the hospital.”
Celeste clenched her hands nervously.
Liam arrived 10 minutes later. He got the call from the housemaid and saw Celeste sitting on a bench, looking pale.
He approached her and called her name.
Celeste looked up, her eyes bloodshot.
His heart skipped a beat, and he clenched his lips nervously before whispering, “It’ll be alright.”
Celeste stared at him and blurted out, “It was Kaylee who pushed Grandpa David down.”
Liam was stunned, his gaze growing more serious. “I’ll handle this.”
“How?”
Celeste asked, her voice calm. “If Grandpa David doesn’t make it out of the operating room today, will you send her to jail?”
Liam frowned and didn’t answer.
Trying to force a smile, Celeste continued, “I thought so. Who are you trying to impress with your ‘handling?”
Liam wanted to say something, but at that moment, the surgery room’s lights went off.
The doctor emerged, “The patient is temporarily out of danger, but you need to be more careful. He has a history of epilepsy and he’s old. How could he be left alone? It’s lucky we got him here in time, or it would’ve been too risky.”
Celeste sighed in relief and waited for the doctor to finish scolding before expressing her gratitude.
The doctor waved her off, “Just wait until he’s moved to the general ward before you go in.”
After the doctor left, Celeste didn’t talk to Liam. Instead, she took out her phone to inform Shawn.
Liam watched her frail figure, his heart racing nervously. He picked up his phone and called Kaylee. As anticipated, there was no response. Frustrated, he dialed the number for his home and the housemaid answered. “Young Master, the madam has gone out,” she informed him.
Liam replied coldly, “I want to talk to Kaylee Reed.”
Liam would only use Kaylee’s full name when he was furious.
The housemaid stole a glance at Kaylee, who was gesturing for her not to say anything. “Uh, Ms. Kaylee is not here, she went out with her friends early this morning.”
Liam looked up, “Put her on the phone.”
The housemaid stuttered, “Ms. Kaylee is really not…”
Liam’s expression grew more serious, “I’ll say it one last time, put her on the phone!”
There was a harsh noise from the other side, and then the phone was hung up.
Liam clenched his cellphone, glanced at Celeste, who was not far away, and turned to leave the hospital.
The image of the old man convulsing on the ground kept replaying in Kaylee’s mind. She was freaking out, not because she cared about the old man, but for fear of getting herself into trouble.
Liam’s phone call made her more worried. She was afraid Liam would hold her responsible. After hanging up, she hastily called Skyler.
Skyler was doing her nails with some friends and rushed home when she heard the news.
As soon as she got home, she saw Liam and a few people carrying Kaylee out of her room.
While struggling, Kaylee screamed, “I didn’t purposely start the fight! He hit me first. Shouldn’t I fight back? Let me go! Let me go!”
“Everyone, stop!” Skyler stepped in to intervene, but Liam remained silent, and no one let go of Kaylee.
Sobbing, Kaylee cried, “Mom, mom, save me! My brother’s gone crazy. He doesn’t care about his sister anymore because of that woman. He’s lost his mind!”
