Luna Reborn by Juliet Swanson Chapter 11

Chapter 11
Isabella managed to hide her true self from me the whole time since I knew her. So, she would definitely be the hardest one to be revealed.
Afterwards, I realized that I knew less about her. I was sure that my first–time encounter with her was around sixteen or seventeen. But, considering of her wicked schemes, Isabella must be having someone to watch me previously. Isabella was one year older than
me.
Hence, it was possible that she had already targeted Benjamin
now.
Then, what was my plan to prevent my own death?
Did I have to secretly kill Isabella or run away? Did I have to find another pack?
All of these options didn’t make sense to my brain. Killing her would be reckless and risky at the same time. Moreover, it was impossible to find another pack because I was still a fourteen years old girl who had no connections to other packs.
So, running away was still the best option. But, I definitely wouldn’t be able to survive by myself in the wild yet. At least, until I got my wolf back in my coming of age. However, I realized that running away would make my parents in a difficult state. So, I had to be careful now.
The class bell ran again and I realized that I needed more time again for my plans. But now, I knew at least I had two things to do

Looking out for Isabella’s people who spied on me and collecting independent income as much as possible for the worst case of running away.
I needed to build my own wealth instead because amassing funds into the family account would be dangerous. Thank the goddess, I knew the future. So, I was one step ahead.
But again, I kept forgetting that I was only fourteen now. I still needed an adult to do the business for me until I was older or able to operate my finances legally. I remembered Lily, and then thought who could be trusted here? Zoey still made my heart in pain. However, maybe it would be my only chance without drawing suspicion.
I needed to make test her in order to know whether her loyalty was worth it or not. I didn’t want to make the same mistake anymore.
Lost in my mind, I had entirely forgotten that the bell had rung now. I was still at the library and maybe going to be late. I gathered up my bag and ran out as quick as I could.
I passed the hallway and bumped straight into someone’s shoulder from the other direction.
My backpack fell across the polished hallway floor and my body. sank to the ground. I could feel a gradual pain from my wrist which hit the ground roughly. Immediately, I brought it to my chest. Well then, at least it wasn’t really that painful.
“Oh my God, I am really sorry.” I heard a worried and husky voice
near me.
I looked up and saw there was a boy around sixteen years old. He

stared down at me while stretching a hand for me. But, it was his eyes which made me shocked instead.
They were like molten golden orbs which I thought I had already seen before but I couldn’t figure out when.
This boy was tough. It could be seen from his well–built body which indicated himself as a good fighter, a future warrior captain, or perhaps a ranked family member.
But, it would be impossible for me to detect his status without my wolf or himself showing at me.
The boy looked at me puzzled. I then realized that he wasn’t from my pack. The foreign wolf would always be shocked at first upon seeing me. However, everyone from the pack recognized my violet eyes and silver hair.
The two of us just stared at each other for a period of time. We were confused with our own appearances until the bell broke our reverie. This was a gentle reminder for me that I had to know my responsibility: the entire species relied on me.
It was me who broke the eye contact first by looking at the ground. I tried to find my backpack now.
“Pardon me. Can I help you to get up?” he asked a little bit awkwardly.
At that moment, I realized that my hand was still holding his. It turned out that I had harshly ignored him. I quickly clasped my other hand with his to lift me up.
“We should probably check your condition at the school infirmary.” He pointed at my wrist while talking.

I turned my head down and saw the reddish part there. But, it didn‘ t feel really hurt, though. I thought it would probably heal in a day even without my entire wolf abilities.
“No, I think I am okay.” I smiled. “Thank you, by the way.”
When I was about to leave and grab my backpack, he talked again and made me freeze, “Well, I think there are only two options. Either you go with me or explain to the teacher the reason you are pretty late.”
I bit my tongue and agreed, “All right then. I think we should check this up at the school infirmary.”
The boy immediately grabbed my backpack while smiling. He seemed didn’t want that I would take another way or protest him. He had a stunning smile on his handsome face. His eyes somehow looked sweeter when he smiled.
“Well, it is the least that I can do for you,” he said and looked at my awkward stare upon seeing him throwing my backpack over his broad shoulder. “I think the last thing I need right now is the news of me bumping a twelve–year–old girl.”
“Actually, I am fourteen this year,” I could sense my cheeks becoming hotter in embarrassment.
The boy just laughed a little bit while replying to me, “Oh my God, I had no idea. Forgive me.”
I felt something embarrassing upon hearing him mentioned the gap in our ages. I was actually twenty–four and much older than him now literally.
Afterwards, I followed him behind to the infirmary school in silence. We, fortunately, arrived soon as we reached the corner. So,

we didn’t have to walk that far. The boy politely knocked on the door and opened it widely.
“Hello, Dearest Amelia,” he flashed his dazzling smile while talking.
The nurse named Miss Amelia looked up and smiled back at him brightly. I was wondering whether his trait was really this good to all the staffs.
“Hello, naughty boy. What is it?” the nurse seemed to be blushing at his presence while asking. She tried to make her clothes and hair neat. Miss Williams was the younger one on the staff at school considering her role as a nurse. However, I couldn’t help myself to roll my eyes upon seeing her attempt seeking his attention.
“What can I help you today, Bash?” she asked again. It turned out his name was Bash.
Bash gestured toward me. I stood at the door waiting a little bit awkwardly. “This little girl bumped into me on the way to class. I think she has fallen quiet badly. She felt pain in her wrist,” he answered.
The nurse’s face became bitter upon noticing my presence there.“Oh, I see.” Miss Amelia cleared her throat while saying. “All right then. Let’s take a look at your wrist. Come on in and sit there.”
I walked over and sat down to her order.
“Well, I will leave you two then. Goodbye, you two,” Bash said, “I am sure Mr. White will chase me to death if I am late to the class.”
He smiled again and put my backpack on the bench. However, it didn’t have any impact now to me although he showed goodness to me repeatedly. Moreover, I felt irritated by being called a ‘little

girl‘ by him.
“Take it easy. You don’t have to worry about that grumpy old man,” Miss Amelia said while giving him a note. “You better hand this to him and then explain. He can talk to me directly if he doesn’t like
it.”
Bash put his hand over his heart while walking backwards and smiling, “You are really an angel, Amelia.”
As I predicted, the nurse giggled while staring at him. The situation changed drastically as soon as he left. Miss Amelia was no longer smiling and pleasant. She checked my wrist and wrapped it with a bandage in silence. Afterwards, she sent me away to the class before it had finished.
Today went surprisingly fast and I am grateful didn’t experience anymore hiccups. The teachers today had definitely noticed that I didn’t pay much attention like usual, but they let me go. I had used my class time to prepare several things inside my head. So, I could implement my first move instead.
After arriving home, I immediately went straight to upstairs where my room belonged. However, I was surprised to see small bags and boxes scattered everywhere. Afterwards, I saw Lily standing at my wardrobe and she looked up at me as I walked towards her.
What was she doing?
