Feral Attraction A wild night with the Alpha by HB Temilorun Chapter 7

Chapter 7
Alexander’s POV
Blaze retracted his hand still wearing his grin and not looking the slightest bit offended by the insult. “She’ll be fun to have around.” He said to me and I just rolled my eyes.
I watched her carefully. She looked just as angry as I expected her to be. Her hand which wasn’t clutching on the handles of her bag was balled into a fist and if looks could kill, well I won’t be dead but there could be an attempt. I knew she was going to show up, it had only been a matter of time.
“I heard you fired your assistant,” I said and she grabbed the chair in front of my desk, sitting down even though she wasn’t invited to. Not that I really minded but I was sure she did it just to show how defiant she was.
She raised a brow at my statement, “And where did you hear that? Your little spy came to report me to the big bad wolf.”
Blaze chuckled.
“No, my actual ‘spy’ told me,” I told her, putting air quotes around the word as a smirk formed on my face. She’s going to lash out in 3…2…1…
“What did you just say?”
“Relax Isabella, it’s no big deal,” I said calmly while she fumed. I knew my calmness would only infuriate her more. I hoped it would.
“It’s no big deal? Can you hear yourself?” She thundered, her voice

“What right do you think you have to keep tabs on me?” She fumed. “Oh, you want to know if I’m going to resort to other ways to pay you back after all, isn’t that it?” She said and my face hardened immediately while my fists instantly clenched. I knew she was talking about the time she said she’ll sleep around to make the money to pay me back.
I mean, she better be joking even though it wasn’t funny at all. Not even in the slightest. I turned to Blaze and gave him a look which. he understood as, ‘excuse me, I need some privacy because s hi t is about to go down’. He just nodded simply before doing a small wave towards Isabella which she didn’t acknowledge but since stuff like that never bothered Blaze, he just left and shut the door behind him.
I looked up at Isabella, my eyes hard and serious and I made sure she looked into them so they could at least tell her that I didn’t joke around. Getting up from my chair, I walked around my desk and to the front of it and perched on the edge, now directly in front of her and satisfied when I heard her heart rate quicken.
“I never want to hear you use that again.” I banged my hand on the table and she jumped slightly, “DON’T YOU DARE say that again!”
That kept her shut for five seconds before she lashed out again. Just as expected.
“Well if you’d just let me sell my painting we wouldn’t have to do this, would we? I don’t understand how you can be so annoying and mean and unnecessary at the same time. I mean what on earth is your issue with me selling that painting? The rules concerning that gallery aren’t that rigid.” She said, breathing heavily, her forehead wrinkled and her jaw clenched in anger,

“Your father definitely wouldn’t have minded one bit. He was a
better Alpha than you’ll ever try to be. I fear for our pack. With you as Alpha, it’s only a matter of time before you run us into the ground,” She muttered and my fist clenched before I banged the table with it.
She got to her feet and took a step back and I was certain my eyes would be black now. How dare she belittle my authority and place in this pack?! How dare she insult my power?!
I got up too and with my angry gaze on her backed her up into the wall.
“I’ll tell you something, Isabella. I’m the Alpha of this pack whether you like it or want to go to hell with it. You, Isabella, are nothing but an ordinary woman.” I glared at her and even though she glared back, I noticed how she swallowed uneasily.
“An ordinary woman that was so desperate for sex that she offered to pay her Alpha to f u ck her even when she was too broke to afford one night. So next time you want to come in here and insult me, remember to be ashamed. It would do you good. Next time you want to come in here and insult my power and position, remember that you are no more than the rest of the population you look down on. At least to me. So you don’t have the right to speak to me the way you please.”
I could tell that I had struck several chords if the looks that washed through her face were anything to go by. I could see anger, pain, embarrassment, and hurt. Well, I did want to hurt her because what she had said had infuriated me but I didn’t feel as satisfied as I expected to be.
“Very well then.” She said before sidestepping me and going to grab my bag before heading to the door and after she left, it was

slammed shut with a loud bang. I cursed, throwing my fist against the wall. She was annoying and freaking disrespectful, I could not let myself feel guilty for putting her in her place.
Running my fingers through my hair repeatedly, I finally sighed and went back to my seat, pulling out a bunch of paperwork that was due on Friday. Maybe burying myself in work would help me clear my head. After going through the same pages a hundred times and refusing to admit that I was too distracted to concentrate on work, I finally gave in and would have flung the entire folder to the far end of the room if the door didn’t open just then.
It was Blake and he eyed me curiously. “This is definitely looking more and more s pi cy. You look really mad but I can swear, Isabella looked even angrier.”
I scoffed, “You saw her?”
“Yeah. She passed by me on her way out. What exactly is up with you both? Is there anything I should know about? Who is she to the great Alexander Stone of the Silver Crest pack?”
“Nobody,” I said instantly but all my beta did was narrow his eyes.
“Didn’t seem like nobody.”
“She’s nobody if I say she is. Now, drop it.”
He raised his hands in mock surrender, “Yes, Alpha.”
I rolled my eyes, “You play too much.”
Blake shrugged, “Only to make up for how stony you are.” Then his face suddenly brightened and he perked up, “Wait, is your face always stony because your last name is Stone?” He said before he burst out laughing.” My face just remained blank until he sobered

up, “I’m serious when I need to be.” He said, “You know that.”
“Yeah, thankfully,” I murmured.
Coming closer, he assumed his previous position before Isabella came in and squinted t the papers in front of me. “Dude, this is not what we were working on.” He said.
“Yeah, but it’s due at the end of the week.” I shrug.
“Yeah, but what we were working on is still more urgent. Remember?” He deadpanned before a smirk slowly made its way unto his face, “You say she’s nobody and yet she has you so distracted.” He teased while I kept my face blank until he was forced to give it up.
Blake sighed, “Fine, have it your way. I just hope you didn’t go too hard on her though. She looked like she might’ve been crying.”
My head snapped up to him.
“Well, I’m not completely sure.” He was quick to amend. “She might’ve sniffed and wiped under her eyes as she passed me but I’ m sure I was mistaken.”
I glared at him before standing up and going to stand at the window. I didn’t want to feel like a d ic k but I didn’t expect her to cry. Maybe I was a little bit intense but she seemed like she had the toughest skin in the pack, with the way she carried herself and with her snarky tongue. Maybe that was why I pushed so hard. I didn’t want to say something that’ll just fly over her head, I wanted to poke until I pierced her flesh but that didn’t mean I wanted to draw blood.
Did she have to be so infuriating? Did she have to threaten to sleep. around for money? Did she have to say that I’ll ruin this pack as its

Yes, she didn’t know about the insecurities that I would never admit to anybody out loud, my best friends and beta included but it had really set me off nevertheless and the worst part about it all was this stu pi d feeling of regret.
