Exchange My Life for Your Heart by Karrin Chapter 27

Chapter 27 Plagiarism
Cecilia repeatedly watched the runway video of the model wearing the exact same dress she had designed. Finally, she was certain that someone had plagiarized her design.
The two dresses had identical designs!
Cecilia knew the inspiration behind her design, and it was impossible for such a coincidence that someone happened to have the same inspiration and design the exact
same dress!
“Mary, please take care of Jace for me. I have something important to do!”
The nanny took Jace and gave her a nod, but Jace’s little hand tightly grasped Cecilia’s clothes, refusing to let go.
“Baby, be good. Mommy is just leaving for a little while and will be back soon.”
Cecilia’s heart softened, but when she thought about the fact that her design had been plagiarized, it was a serious matter for their company She couldn’t ignore it. She had to handle it, and handle it perfectly!
Cecilia hugged Jace once again, and little Jace seemed to understand his mom’s intention, finally releasing her grip.
Cecilia took her bag and immediately hailed a taxi to go to the venue of the design competition. On the way, she called Luke multiple times, but there was no answer.
Meanwhile, the competition venue was in chaos. Cecilia’s design was not the first one to be showcased. So when Luke saw the design that was identical to Cecilia’s, he was also
taken aback.
Cecilia’s design work was scheduled to display later, and if it were to be shown now, it would clearly put them at a disadvantage.
Some media reporters had already sensed the scent of news and immediately surrounded Luke. He was busy answering their questions and completely oblivious to the ringing of his phone
Cecilia grew even more anxious as she received no response from Luke. Upon arriving at the venue, she quickly got out of the car and rushed towards the competition area.
With the assistance of his assistant, Luke finally found a moment to catch his breath. Then he looked up and happened to see Cecilia.
Luke promptly instructed his assistant to bring Cecilia over swiftly, ensuring that no other reporters would catch sight of her.
“What’s going on? How could this happen? Has there been a spy within the company?” Overwhelmed by worry, Cecilia bombarded Luke with a series of questions.
Luke merely shook his head, as he too was not well informed about the situation

“Believe me, I did not plagiarize!” Cecilia gazed at Luke, her voice full of firmness.
“I believe you! It’s definitely someone in our company leak the draft. Only they would stoop so low as to resort to such disgraceful tactics”
By “they“, Luke was referring to the Shant Group
This company had been their long standing competitor, and Luke had just noticed that the designer whose design was similar to Cecilia’s was affiliated with Shant Group.
“Well, look who it is! Isn’t it our Miss Plagiarizer?” Suddenly, a voice filled with sarcasm
interrupted Cecilia and Luke’s discussion.
Cecilia turned around to see a fashionably dressed woman, casting mocking glances at her. In an instant, Cecilia felt a surge of anger, as this was the first time she had encountered a plagiarist so audacious
“I never plagiarize. Deep down, the one who plagiarized knows it!” Cecilia’s tone was
resolute.
“You’re Lilian Gould, right? I’ve seen your previous design works, and the styles seem quite contrary. There’s no cohesive design concept at all It seems like you’ve plagiarized quite a lot designers, huh!” Cecilia carefully studied Lilian’s past design works on her way here. “Have you even attended university? Do you know the basic principles of design?” Cecilia couldn’t tolerate Lilian’s insult to design
“Oh, so you think you know it all? If you really did, you wouldn’t have plagiarized my works and then blamed on me! I can’t recall any notable works from you in the design. industry. Where did you this nobody come from?” Although Lilian maintained a composed expression, she felt a bit uneasy inside.
Cecilia was right. Some of her previous works were indeed achieved through plagiarism. And the objects of her plagiarism were often lesser–known designers, so even if they discovered their designs being plagiarized, they often dared not speak up.
At this moment, all eyes were fixed on Cecilia.
It was true that Cecilia had recently entered the design field, and compared to Lilian.
Gould, she was just an unknown designer.
However, Cecilia had already come up with a strategy in her mind. She calmly stepped onto the stage, casting a comforting smile at Luke, then picked up the microphone nearby.
