Ex-Husband Who Has Gone Mad After Abusing His Wife Chapter 9

Chapter 9
“Sell the 20 percent stake you own to me,” Anna said. “Otherwise, I won’t
agree to it.”
“How much are you offering?” I asked.
1/5
“Ten million dollars, and I don’t have cash with me right now. I’ll pay you later,”
Anna said. “Father gives you everything, and your husband is very capable.
You already control 60 percent of the company, so it’s not too much if I ask
for 20 percent, right?”
“I can give you the shares, but I have a request. You’ll have to take care of
Father.”
“Me?” Anna smirked. “Why do I have to do that? Even with your stake, I only
have 28 percent, but you have 60!”
“I won’t give you the shares if you don’t agree to it,” I said.
Anna glared at me for some time. “Did something happen between you and
Liam?”
“He’s nice to me, but…” I thought I should mentally prepare Anna, “I don’t think
I’ll be able to take care of Father soon.”
Anna was silent for a long time. “I understand. You think he doesn’t really love
you after he took advantage of the acquisition, and you’re afraid you’re not
going to marry him.”
If that was what she thought, then so be it.
“The decision is up to you,” I said.
Anna took the letter of transfer from her handbag and tossed it onto my lap.
“Sign it. You don’t have to worry about Father. I’m also his daughter after all.”
I flipped through the letter of transfer, signed my name on it, and handed it
back to Anna.
Chapter You’re Still So Naive
She checked it carefully like how she used to check my homework when I
was younger, then put it away.
She stood up and, in a rare gesture of intimacy, patted my head gently.
“You’re still so naïve, Vivi.”
Anna was eight years older than me, and she had an assertive personality
like my father. Like my father, she was also into business.
On the other hand, I was more of a math nerd like my mother.
My father regularly brought Anna along with him to business engagements
or discussed business with her in the study. During his free time, he would
bring me to the theme park.

I asked my father why he gave me 20 percent of the company. He said, “The
rest is for your sister. She needs to manage the company, while you can take
the money to do the things you like.”
I did not know what made him change his mind.
Chapter 9 You’re Still So Naive
After he fell and hurt himself, when the lawyer read the document he
prepared, we realized he had given me all the shares he owned.
Anna walked to the door. I stopped her. “Anna.”
She turned around. What?”
“Father told me before that he wanted to leave the company in your care,” I
said. “Maybe you can ask him again once he wakes up.”
“I hope so,” Anna smirked nonchalantly and left.
After Anna left, I called Liam’s number.
“What is it?” he said coldly.
“Liam, I agree to hand the Nyra to you,” I said.
“Talk to Jeffrey,” Liam said, referring to his assistant.

“Okay, but I’m calling you because I want an additional clause. Can you get
him to bring me the divorce papers too? I don’t want anything else. Just give
me two million dollars in cash,” I said.
Liam was silent for a few seconds. “Why do you want the money?”
“My sister doesn’t agree to the acquisition unless I give her my 20 percent
stake. If I give her that, I won’t have money,” I lied to him,” But I still need to
continue my studies, so…”
