Chap 3 Bringing Will Home
Glancing at the man, I was shocked by the look in his eyes. His blue eyes were gloomy and murderous. After casting a look at me, he instantly began to fight.
Karl was trembling. He pushed the man beside him forward, letting the latter protect him. What a despicable coward he was! After the unlucky guy instantly got punched in the face and comically fell to the ground.
The group of men panicked. They were cowards who only dared to attack weak werewolves. After a quarter of an hour, the ferocious man struck all of them down. Seeing them clutching their wounds and howling in pain on the ground, I despised them more.
Now, the man was straddling Karl and repeatedly hitting him. Every time he threw a punch, I could hear bones break and skin split. Karl could not resist, and his head was bleeding profusely.
People gradually gathered around. Hearing them discussing the matter, I realized the man might get in trouble. So, pulled his arm and persuaded him, saying, “Stop beating him! It’s not worth going to jail for such a scumbag.”
He finally stopped hitting Karl. When he glanced at my face with sharp eyes through his messy hair, my heart skipped a

beat because the sense of oppression was too strong.

When he looked at other dandies, the latter stared at his face in shock as if seeing something frightening. When they gasped in horror in unison, I looked at them in confusion, wondering why they had become more scared. After giving them another fierce look, the man stood up. He was tall and muscular, looking like a real fighter.
“He’s… Hurry up and run!”
The group of cowards helped seriously injured Karl up, staggered into the luxury car, and fled. Was it the man’s fierceness that had scared them away?
I turned to look at him. His clothes were dirty, and his hair was messy, but his eyes were so bright that they seemed to be able to burn me through. He was so strong. Why had he been reduced to such a miserable situation? I could no longer smell werewolves, so I could only guess his identity. Maybe he was a banished rogue wolf.
“Thank you.”
I seriously bowed to him to express my gratitude, picked up the broom on the ground, and turned to leave. When he followed me, I was not afraid. Although it was dangerous to approach rogue wolves, he had saved me.
I stopped my steps, warily looked at him, and said, “My name

is Katheryn Taylor. Can you tell me yours?”

He fell silent, and his eyelashes cast two shadows over his eyes. After a moment, he replied, “You can call me Will.”
I did not mind that he had only told me his first name. Maybe he didn’t want to expose more personal information.
“Will, why are you following me?”
He blinked in silence as if I had asked while knowing the
answer.
He was roaming the streets, so he must have nowhere to go.
A thought suddenly popped into my mind. I was too weak to seek revenge. So, I needed helpers. I had seen him fight just now. He struck the scumbags fast and hard. If he was willing to help me…
I asked tremblingly, “Will, if you have nowhere to go, do you want to go to my place?”
Will nodded with a smile.
Then, I took him back home. I lived in a remote place. It was desolate, so the rent was cheap.
When he came out of my bathroom with only a towel around

his waist, I had difficulty breathing after merely a glance at
him.
He was a strong young man, and his injuries had long healed. His naked upper body had obvious muscle lines. He was six inches taller than me. When I awkwardly helped him dry his hair with a towel in front of him, his breath made me feel hot. So, I tried hard to calm myself down.
When I pushed his hair over his forehead back, I met his dazzling blue eyes and almost sank into the ocean. He was so handsome and powerful. I wondered why he had been exiled.
I softly asked him, “Will, are you exiled?”
When he stared at me with an elusive look, I suspected I should not have asked such a question.
After a while, he indifferently said, “I have no family.”
He looked a little sad. Maybe he had been exiled because he had no family. This immediately aroused my pity, and I thought we both had suffered a lot.
“I have no family either.”
My eyes turned red, but I tried my best to hold back my tears.
I took out all my food and said, “I cooked pumpkin pie. And

there are a few eggs. If you don’t mind…”
Will sat down without saying a word and wolfed the food down, not minding it at all.

I felt relieved and poured him a cup of coffee, deciding to try to get some milk or meat tomorrow. I must keep him by my side. I admitted I wanted to make use of him, but I was indeed willing to take him in.
Will raised the pie in his hand and smiled, “Thank you! The pie is nice.”
He looked more handsome when he smiled. So, I looked at him with obsession and almost forgot my original purpose.
Before he finished eating, I began making a bed on the floor.
“What are you doing?” Will asked in confusion.
“I have only one single bed. Do you mind sleeping on the floor?” I nervously asked.
If he did not want to sleep on the floor, I would do it. Anyway, I had often slept on the floor in prison.
He stared at me with a hint of surprise flashing across his eyes. But the light in the room was so dim that I didn’t notice
it.

“I don’t mind. After all, I have led a vagrant life for a long
time.”
His trembling voice sounded unnatural. He had been homeless for a long time, so he must barely have a good sleep.
I heartily smiled after hearing his reply. I had thought I had forgotten how to smile for the past three years. People always looked at me with contempt. Loneliness and hatred made me live in deep anxiety. But I longed for companionship and care
at heart.
After Will saw my smile, the look in his eyes changed. And his blue eyes seemed to have instantly turned amber. But I thought it was my illusion.
“Thank you for letting me stay here overnight,” he lightly said, looking grateful.
I crawled into bed and friendly said, “Good night, Will.”
He nodded.
I was so tired that I fell asleep as soon as my head touched the pillow. But I strangely didn’t sleep well, feeling an intense gaze at me.
Soon, the gaze disappeared, and I felt a stove beside me. I

couldn’t help moving closer to it and fell into a deep sleep.
