Chapter 11 I Want to Be with Will Forever
“There will be a chance.” I gently declined Morgan, “I don’t want Will to find out that I want to take advantage of him.”
Morgan frowned and smacked her lips in dissatisfaction, “You can’t choose a Rogue wolf as an ally. He’s too dangerous.”
A bitter and self–deprecating smile crept onto my face. “Morgan, what about me? I’m a murderer just out of prison.“”
“You…” she choked, and then she said, “but you didn’t kill anyone!”
I remembered the day I met Will when he almost killed Karl. Did I underestimate his dangerous nature? But then I shook my head. “Will isn’t like that,” I said. “He’s always been kind to me, and I don’t believe he would hurt me.”
“Alright, but I’m telling you, don’t let your guard down,” Morgan finally relented.
“I have another thing to tell you!” She opened her briefcase and took out a large stack of documents. “These are just copies. I’ve hidden the real deal. It’s evidence I’ve collected.”
Morgan snorted and said, “They closed the case so hastily back then, all based on a stupid necklace. It’s so despicable! Other things could’ve shown the killer might not be you.” She handed me the documents. “If you decide to appeal, I’ll back you up, no questions asked.”
I took the documents. As I saw them again, a pang of sadness shot through me. Could I clear my name? Would anybody
believe me?
Morgan gave me a gentle hug. “Take your time to think it over. We got plenty of time.”
With a heavy heart, I headed home with the evidence and materials Morgan had gathered. Reconciling with her gave me a surge of courage and strength. She might be just an ordinary werewolf, but she was loyal and tough and was my best friend. With her by my side, my revenge plan would progress more smoothly.
But my wolf Thea still hadn’t returned, and I wasn’t sure if Will would also be scared and keep his distance if he found out I had killed the fiancée of the future Alpha of the Night Thunder tribe.
Anxiety gripped me as I prepared dinner. But by 7 p.m., Will still hadn’t returned. My heart sank. Could he have discovered my “crime” and been too afraid to come back? Or had something happened to him?
I grew more restless, my eyes reddening with worry. I had never been so concerned about anyone before. I realized I’d developed a bond with Will. He was my only little brother, and I didn’t want him to leave me.
Two hours passed, and the temperature dropped even further. The biting cold wind blew against the windows, creating a harsh sound. It only added to my torment. I couldn’t sit still anymore. I wrapped a scarf around me and rushed into the yard, scanning the surroundings. The ruthless wind battered my frail body, making me sway like a withered
twig.
After a while, my heart grew colder. Will wasn’t coming back.

But then, in the distance, heavy footsteps approached, and excitement surged through me.
Oh, my moon goddess, please don’t play with me anymore.
Will walked towards me, carrying a stag with long antlers and holding several wild rabbits in his hands.
From afar, I realized he was even more robust and muscular than I had imagined, standing at around six feet three inches tall. When he saw me waiting outside, he immediately set everything down.
“Why are you standing outside?” His eyes revealed concern. “Aren’t you afraid of the cold?”
I ran towards him, panting. “It’s so late and you didn’t come back. I was a bit worried…”
Will grinned, showing his pearly white teeth. “Sorry, I went hunting. I caught a few extra rabbits and got delayed.”
He tilted his head towards the dead stag. “You should sell the antlers. They can fetch a good amount of gold coins.”
Excitement filled me, and I nodded eagerly. I didn’t care how much he brought back; as long as he returned, it was enough.
As he noticed my intense gaze, Will’s expression changed too. His blue irises shimmered like sapphires, emitting a
captivating radiance.
“You’ve been waiting long?” he asked, grabbing my hand. “Your hands are so cold.”

Will furrowed his brow immediately. He mimicked what I did last time, gently rubbing and blowing warm air onto my hands. I gazed at him tenderly, thinking how good he was. Thank goodness he had come back. Oh, moon goddess, I hope he stays by my side forever.
Will grabbed my hand and pressed it against his warm neck. His body was burning hot, and his gaze was sincere. In an instant, I felt my heart skip a beat. What was I thinking? That indiscernible feeling resurfaced.
“Still cold?” he asked me gently. “Let’s go inside. Should I put the game in the kitchen?”
I didn’t answer, just glanced at Will. He was only wearing a thin hoodie, and I could vaguely see his chest muscles. He had just finished hunting, and I could smell a hint of blood,
nothing more. My wolf was dormant, and I couldn’t identify his pheromones.
But why was my heart in chaos?
“Will?” I called out to him, and he immediately responded.
“What’s wrong?”
“I want to be with you forever.”
As the words slipped out, even I was shocked. It’s like I couldn’t control my mouth anymore.
Will blinked, a hint of wild joy flashing in his eyes. I could hear
his heart racing. Did that mean he felt the same way about me? I truly wanted him to stay by my side.
“Are you serious?”

Will looked down at me, tightly gripping my hand, waiting for my response. Oh, my moon goddess. The moonlight illuminated his handsome face perfectly at this moment. He had his aura, making me, who had long been immersed in darkness, crazily yearn to get closer…
Enthralled, I nodded.
“You won’t regret it in the future?”
Will asked again, this time with a trembling voice. But his blue eyes remained sincere, reflecting only moonlight and me. He treated me like a precious gem.
I understood now. He was the source of light, illuminating the pale and helpless me.
“No, I won’t,” I immediately replied, gazing deeply into those blue eyes.
“I will never regret it.”
