The Amnesic Genius Ex-wife Chapter 122

Chapter 122 First Time Cooking
Freya rarely had such a close look at Radley’s eyes. She felt like she was falling into those starry pupils on his perfect face.
But in a flash, she realized that she might be seeing things from lightheadedness.
To the side, two Lagresh maids were chatting, and a doctor was giving her an IV drip.
Freya looked at the bottle of water suspiciously. “What is this?”
The doctor politely explained, “Madam, you seem to have a reaction to the local environment. This will help replenish your energy
Freya frowned. She usually didn’t let anyone give her an IV drip when she was outside.
But seeing Radley next to her, her heart gradually settled down.
However, her headache was still severe, and she fell asleep again soon after.
At noon, Freya woke up again, feeling weak all over and exhausted.
Radley had the maids bring lunch to her room and sat by her bedside, feeding her spoonful by spoonful.
Freya reached out to take the spoon.
However, Radley’s hand was firm. “You are sick now. When you are better, I won’t feed you.”
Freya glared at him, but her weakness made her sweat all over her back.
She gritted her teeth and found her wrist too weak to even fight with Radley. She opened her mouth and swallowed the food he fed her.
After lunch, Freya looked around the room. “Where is Brisa?”
“She and Connor went to get some gifts.”
“What gifts?” Freya moved her body but she felt sweaty all over. She didn’t even have the strength to go to the bathroom.
She touched her forehead. Why couldn’t she adapt to the environment here? Perhaps it was also due to her pregnancy?
“We plan to give it to Mr. Lane later on,” Radley said.
Freya felt nauseous and covered her mouth. She was dry heaving.
When their eyes met, she felt embarrassed and turned her head away.
It was better to not embarrass herself.
Freya realized this deeply as she was leaning over the toilet for the third time.
Radley walked in after opening the door.
He seemed unbothered about the odor in the air. He carefully helped Freya up and took her to the sink.
Freya was placed on a chair next to the sink, and Radley rolled up his sleeve, revealing his muscular arm.
He cleaned a towel and prepared warm water. Then, he wrung it out before moving it to Freya’s mouth.
“Wipe yourself.”
Freya raised her hand weakly to take the towel, but Radley saw that she still had no strength.
Suddenly, she felt him holding the back of her head.
“Hey, Radley…”
Radley began to gently wipe her face with the towel.
Freya felt confused at herself being taken care of by Radley messily. After a while, she yelled, “Radley, I’ll do it myself!”
Ok, fine. Radley washed the towel and handed it to Freya.
She clenched the towel, gritted her teeth, and looked at the man’s calm expression, as if she was the one overthinking things.
She thought that she would be fine after a day of resting..
She didn’t expect to be bedridden for three days.
When Braxton called, she didn’t dare to say that she was sick as she was afraid that he would worry. She pretended they were at the negotiating stage with Brandon.
In the bungalow.
Two maids were standing outside the kitchen, watching Radley cooking and speaking in Lagresh language.
“Miss Kaufmann is really fortunate to have Mr. Monaghan. He is such a considerate and handsome m
In the kitchen, Radley held his phone and looked through the recipe for the special vegetable noodle Freya had mentioned earlier.
The maid here didn’t know how to make it, so he decided to personally cook it for her.
Of course, this was also the first time he had ever cooked.
He poured oil into the pot and turned on the heat. After looking at the recipe for a while, he threw in the scallions, and oil splattered everywhere.
Two maids rushed in from outside, worriedly asking, “Mr. Monaghan, are you okay?”
Radley shook his head indifferently. He wiped off the oil stains on his hand calmly, but the burning. sensation lingered.
However, he was meticulous in doing things. After reading the recipe, he threw away the burnt oil and the scallions and poured in new oil. His technique was much more proficient this time.
He followed the steps one by one, and ten minutes later, Radley stared at a bowl of noodles in front of him. Smells good and looks good.
He poured the bowl of noodles away and started over again. The two maids wanted to help, but he refused.
After repeated attempts for an hour and a half, Radley finally made a bowl of vegetable noodles that looked as good as the picture in the recipe book. He then put it on a small tray.
The maids came forward and asked. “Mr. Monaghan, should we take it to Miss Kaufmann?”
Radley shook his head and said, “Clean up the kitchen.”
He used three days’ time to ask Connor and Brisa to buy gifts every day. Some items could only be bought at the nearby village of Lagresh’s capital.
For the past three days, he had been taking care of Freya in every way possible.
He could feel that Freya’s attitude toward him had improved a lot. At least, her previous wariness and guard had disappeared entirely.
She no longer resisted his advances.
This was a big step forward.
He had to keep up.
In Freya’s bedroom on the second floor, she was leaning against the bed with her phone in her hand.
Today, she felt much better. Although she still had a slight headache, it was within the range that she could tolerate.
They had been in Lagresh for three days now, and she had wasted too much time. Freya looked at the date on her phone and searched for the route to the Vincent Residence.
The door to the room opened, and Freya put down her phone to look up.
Radley walked in with a bowl of noodles and placed it on the small table in front of her.
Freya was surprised to see the vegetable noodles.
“What’s this…” She looked up at Radley. When she was half asleep earlier, she had mentioned that she wanted to eat vegetable noodles, but she didn’t expect him to remember.
The appearance of the noodles was excellent. Freya now had the strength to eat by herself. She picked up her cutlery and tasted a strand of the noodle.
The rich aroma and the fragrance of the vegetables filled her nose. Freya closed her eyes contentedly. It was the most fortunate thing to be able to cat hometown food in a foreign land.
“Who made this noodle? It’s so authentic!” Freya looked up, her eyes full of smiles.
Radley’s face remained indifferent, but a hint of a smile flashed across his face.
Freya blinked, “You didn’t make this, did you?”
Radley responded and said, “It’s very simple. There was a hint of pride in his tone.
