Chapter 84: The Union
Clair
“We are gathered here tonight for the Union of our Alpha, Alpha Jacob Galhart to Lady Clair Montrell, the future Luna of the Black Shadow Pack. It is with great honor to preside this union under the Blue Moon where the Goddess will bestow her greatest blessing, the blessing of Love and Bliss.”
Elder Garret cleared his throat before turning his face towards me and my Alpha.
“May I request the Alpha and the Future Luna to pledge their love and loyalty to each other as I, on behalf of the Goddess bind you together for life.”
I turned to my side to face my Alpha, I slowly lifted my eyes to meet his, and even without us touching, I could feel the spark and the tingles that had been a constant in my skin whenever he was around.
My eyes then followed Jake’s movement as he took my hand and held it to his while Elder Garett started to bind our wrists together with a black rope, which symbolized the color of the pack.
And then our eyes met again, and my heart stopped. He was beautiful but nothing could compare to how his face lighted up at this moment. He told me he loved me countless times this past few days but his emotions and his expression were all raw tonight, a clear picture that he really did. And it was more than my heart could handle.
I was snapped from my reverie when Jake started with his vow, to which I must repeat and follow as I was instructed to do.

Just as we finished our vows, the Elder snapped the black rope and melted it on the fire sitting on the table beside him. An act to symbolize keeping the fire of love burning for eternity.
My Alpha then took my hand into his, taking my wrist closer to his mouth as his fangs elongated. More sparks and tingles traveled to my whole body at his touch that left me frozen in my spot before I felt him squeeze my wrist gently, he was waiting for me to do the same.
I took his wrist upon my hand and lifted it while my own fangs started to come out. With our eyes fixed on each other, we slowly bite into each other wrists and drink from each other’s blood.
I subconsciously let out a soft moan of pleasure as extreme tingles erupted all over my body at the mere act, wanting more of him. I never thought that having a taste of his blood would send sensations all over my body.
Elder Garett cleared his throat before speaking, in a playful tone. “I think that should be enough.”
I heard my brother chuckle from somewhere before the crowd stood up in front of us, and offered loud applause.
My cheeks started to burn from embarra*s*sment but my mate took away my uneasiness when he
wrapped his arms around me and crushed his lips into mine, kissing me passionately and hungrily in front of the crowd. I guessed I was not the only one affected by that last act.
“I present to you, the Alpha and Luna of the Black Shadow Pack… Alpha Jacob and Luna Clair Galhart!” I heard Elder Garett at the back of my mind while my mouth continued to accept the smoldering kiss from my Alpha as the crowd continued to cheer.
After a while, Jake pulled out from the kiss but his eyes never left mine, his eyes dilated into full obsidian black showing me a glimpse of Echo before returning to his normal deep dark blue shade.
I blinked my eyes and let Rain’s eyes out for a moment before I tipped on my toes and pecked his lips curtly, taking his hand with mine and pulling him to face the crowd with me.
My heart was full at the sight of the people in front of us.
Our people. Finally, for the first time since I left when I was 12,1 felt at home.
This was home. With him. With my Alpha.

The ceremony ended an hour ago and I was now on my toes.
I saw the Blue Moon already on its peak and any moment now, Clair would start with her heat.
I could have marked her there on the stage to avoid any problem but I wanted our marking to be a private one, just for her and me. And I don’t trust that I could control myself once I started licking her neck. I almost ravished her in front of our pack when I kissed her during the ceremony.
I had no idea that she has this power over me. But I wasn’t complaining.
I looked around the Pavillion and did not see my Beta at all, as well as Lady Alia. It looked like he was already prepared to handle her heat better than I could for my mate.
I needed Clair out of here soon.
I mind linked my Gamma and instructed him that it was time for me and Clair to leave. He would take care of the guests together with David since I don’t think we would be available for the rest of the night.
Once I got a confirmation from my Gamma that he was all set, I took a long stride to where my Mate was. She was standing with her cousin, Luisa, and Jenny but her eyes were searching for something. “Looking for me?” I leaned and whisper behind her ear, biting it as I wait for her response.
She immediately turned around, flung her arms on my neck, and rested her cheek on my chest. “We need to go. I feel a little burn on my center now. I’m scared my scent will soon come out.” She said in a worried tone.
I nodded and scooped her up bridal style before walking towards the center of the ballroom. I cleared my throat and let my Alpha aura roll-off, gaining attention from the crowd.
“Thank you for the wonderful evening. My Luna and I will take our exit now for the private ceremony. Enjoy the rest of the night!” I let out a smug smirk while my Luna hide her burning cheeks at the nook of my neck as I headed off out of the ballroom while the crowd got wild with whoops and hollers.
Instead of taking her to our bedroom, I proceeded to the 4th floor where the biggest suite in the pack house was at. The room was previously used by former Alphas and their Lunas but I didn’t have any intention to use it until Clair happened.
I knew she would love it here, she would have bigger space plus the new bed I bought was way bigger than my old one.
I opened the door and gently laid her on her feet, her jaw opened as she looked back at me.
“Is this ours?” She asked, her eyes wandering on the room as she walked around, touching the elegant walls surrounding the room.
I nodded. “Yes. I had it renovated but it’s still bare. I wanted your opinion as to what you want to have here. It’s ours and I would rather have something in here that you liked.”
She turned her head back at me before she rushed and jumped into my arms again, wrapping her legs around my hips, her eyes flashing black.
I thought she hugged me because she was happy with the room only for me to realize that she already started licking my neck.
Her arousal swirled around me that I started salivating for her. At the same time, my wolf gnarled and wanted to come out.
