Chapter 8
Zora’s POV
“Good morning,” Casey greeted me gently, but the banging appeared again.
The man looked at me because he was unsure whether he would open the door or not. I actually wanted to see him in a dilemma. To my disappointment, he eventually rose from the bed to go to the door. As soon as he opened the door, Lori barged into my room.
“Get the hell out of my room, Lori!” I tried to warn her, making Casey walk her out gently.
While I could allow everything, I would never let her enter my room. The argument between both Lori and Casey immediately heated up as soon as they got out of my room.
“Lori, you knew that I was married to her, but you insisted on being here. I’d never neglect my wife, Lori,” he made a plea with Lori that made me laugh.
“She didn’t even fight when I was with. From now on, you’ve got to accept that it’ll be like this,” he told her blatantly, then I heard a slap. Obviously, she had slapped Casey’s face that made me want to laugh again.
“I, Lori … ” she uttered, definitely trying to use the same old mind–link.
Still, it was a half–rejection. If only Casey was manly enough to reject her, I would really respect my husband. Our lovemaking yesterday night only happened because he was afraid. Men in his situation, particularly the Alphas, usually would never bother about it because they were sure that

Hardy showed his strong interest in me which signified that he could take me from Casey by challenging my husband.  The only thing I had to do was to accept the challenge. Casey wouldn’t have any choice but to accept the challenge because of it Casey was indeed strong, but he was nothing compared to Hardy The man had to pull out if I accepted the challenge. That was the reason why he made love to me all night long to state that he still loved and cared about me  Unfortunately, we were already behind that. Great sex wouldn’t change my mind about my husband. If I could even get a chance to leave this asshole. I would gladly do so and I would even never look back.  “Go ahead, Lori. Finish the goddamn sentence. I’m already sick of this bullshit!” Casey yelled that was heard by me, which really shocked me.  Lori just kept her silence.  “From now on, it’ll be like this, Lori. Zora is my wife and nothing will ever change that. If you can’t accept it, that’s on you. Before this supposed mate bullshit, both Zora and I had a beautiful, perfect married life. Suddenly, your father forced you into my home. I’ve gone against myself and the woman I truly love for this supposed mate bullshit. Lori, you’ve got no idea how far both Zora and I have come to this. We built this pack together from the beginning. Don’t you ever ask me to betray her because I would never do that,” he firmly stated, making my tears fill up my eyes.  The man immediately left Lori to return to my room, he then went on to lie on the bed next to me.  “I don’t feel like doing lots of things today. You shouldn’t either. Let’s lie in bed,” he says calmly to me, prompting me to smile at the man.  My husband seemed to be bolder than before. Casey did keep his promise as he spent four nights a week in my room. Lori had gone to her home several times, but she still had to go back to our home. She definitely  15.81%  |||  16.51  reported us to her father, but that old man couldn’t be involved anymore.  Everyone had expected that Casey would treat me like how Shepherd and Roger would treat their wives, but they were very wrong on that. My husband really cared for me. Although it was difficult for Sage, Casey’s wolf, Casey forced his wolf to obey him. I couldn’t bear to see Sage in pain like that, but Casey just asked me to ignore his wolf Obviously, my husband was trying hard.  Still, the pack members slowly respected Lori more than me. Some people even dared to disrespect me openly. Those people often told me that they wanted to clarify to Lori first before they were working on the tasks I assigned them to. Since the Magic Fang Pack had two Lunas, I no longer went my way to carry out my Luna duties because of it. Even though Lori had no idea how to perform her duties, I didn’t care anymore. Meanwhile, I had never heard any news from Hardy ever again as a month slowly passed by.  Suddenly, there was a commotion in the Magic Fang’s settlement. It really made me can’t help but wonder what actually was happening. After that, Casey rushed into my office.  “Zora, we’re under attack now. The ones attacking us are the Northern Wolves from the Dark Lord Alpha!” he shouted, which scared me.  “What’s actually happening?” I asked while I was leaving my desk, but my husband only shook his head from left to right.  “It’s about Cruz. It seems that he’s overstepping things, so we’re all in with him now. But Hardy isn’t around to help us,” he tells somberly.  “Where’s the battle, Casey?” I asked my husband.  “The battle takes place in the Moon Light Pack, Shepherd’s pack The moment they fall, we’re the next to fall,” he answered as we were walking to our home as fast as we could.  38 73%  16.51  When we entered our house, Lori seemed panicked.  “Lori, go to the shelter and hide,” he told Lori, causing me to frown at him.  ‘No, she’s also a Luna. She should’ve fought with us!” I angrily protested, but my husband still shook his head.  “Damn it, Zora! I don’t have time to argue about this. Let’s shift into our wolf forms to head to the battle,” he responded, but I shook my head this  time.  “Come on, Zora. She isn’t a trained warrior,” he told me as he was trying to be reasonable with me.  “Well, you should’ve trained her, then,” I told him firmly as I refused to  go.  Not long after, the siren went off, which meant the Moon Light Pack’s defense had fallen. The attackers were now going through our pack’s settlement.  “I guess she’ll have to fight now,” I made a remark as I looked at her begrudgingly.  “Damn it! Are you kidding, Zora! The Northern Wolves are in our settlement now! Lori can’t fight because she’s carrying my child,” Casey said the reason which really froze me on the spot.  “You got her pregnant!” I yelled at him in response, but the man just kept quiet.  “For five fucking years, you took precautions with me. But somehow you got her pregnant in months?” I asked him again as I was tearing, but my husband kept quiet as usual.  “Zora, let’s go,” he weakly said, but I shook my head again.  59.36%  |||  <  Chapter B  1288 (Vouchers  “Leave without me, Casey,” I told him firmly, making him growl at me to show his frustration.  “Please, Zora,” he said, trying to make a plea with me.  “Leave now!” I yelled at him as my tears already fell from my face.  “I really want children. Casey. However, you told me that we needed to take our time. Now, you’ve told this. I’m a fucking third well to you guys now. Why do I have to come with you when both of you are already a perfect family?” I asked him as I kept crying.  “Zora, we can also try too,” he responded in a hurry, but I shook my head as usual.  “I’m so fucking sick of this fucking bullshit! We’re not happy at all.” I retorted, but he shook his head again to me.  “Zora, please. This isn’t the right time,” he said, but our door was suddenly broken into when I was about to respond to him.  There were huge men with long beards and hair who barged into our house. Casey was already prepared to fight. The man quickly shifted to attack them, but there were too many of them that he was overpowered. While Lori begged these Northerners to not kill Casey, they definitely wouldn’t listen to her plea. I could only watch her weep and saw them trying to capture my husband. Clearly, what they wanted was a trophy.  “Please spare his life and bring me as your trophy instead!” I told the men while I was going on my knees.  In order to end this sudden attack, they had to kill either Casey or me. By surrendering myself, neither of us would have to die. Although I didn’t know what kind of life I would have in captivity, it felt that it would be much better than my current life.  ‘Zora, please,‘ Lori tried to speak me out of it through the mind–link, but I  74.77%  |||  16 51  quickly shut her out.  This was actually her first time to show that she was worried about me. Meanwhile, the men put me on silver chains as they dragged me out of the house as Sage was lying unconscious on the floor. The Dark Lord Alpha had made his statement known here. I really hoped that those men. would listen to him.  “Where are you taking me to?” I asked the men while they were dragging me along the way in chains.  “To the north,” they replied, already making me hate the future.  94.29%  |||  O  16.51
