Chapter 16 They Came to Use the Bathroom
“Dear, where are we going to eat?” Scarlett found Tyler more pleasing to the eye.
“You’ll see in a bit!” Tyler smiled faintly and drove with one hand while the other over Scarlett’s thigh.
As an experienced playboy, he knew that he had given Scarlett so much pride by picking her up at school. Scarlett would not say anything against him.
Scarlett glanced at Tyler’s hand on her thigh but didn’t say anything.
Tyler parked the car in front of a hotel.
“Wow, it’s Silver Spoon! Dear, are you taking me here to eat?” Scarlett’s eyes widened in disbelief at the luxurious building in front of her.
Silver Spoon was one of the top restaurants in Goldenrod City!
“Are you happy? Let’s go in. I’ve already reserved our table!” Tyler said with a smile. He had spared no expense to reserve a table at Silver Spoon. After all, it would cost at least 2000 dollars to eat there, which was too expensive for a student.
But seeing how happy Scarlett was, Tyler felt it was worth it!
Scarlett took Tyler’s arm and walked into the hotel.
Immediately, a young waiter approached them and greeted them, “Hello, welcome to Silver Spoon…Have you reserved a table?” The waiter smiled apologetically after speaking, “I just started and I’m not very familiar with the job. Please forgive me.”
“No problem,” Tyler said. “I’ve already reserved a table. Table 8!”
“Table 8, okay. Let me take you there now. Please follow me!” The waiter led the way.
They followed the waiter upstairs and arrived at Table 8. Both Tyler and Scarlett were extremely satisfied with the environment in Table 8. It was no wonder that Silver Spoon was one of the top hotels in Goldenrod City. Its decoration was incomparable to other hotels!
It was spacious, there were crystal chandeliers, gold-plated candle holders, luxurious tablecloths and chairs!
As soon as they sat down, a band made up of neatly dressed foreigners with blond hair and blue eyes walked over! They played the accordion and violin, and one of them even jugglled with empty plates!
Tyler’s seat suddenly became the focus of the entire room! Others looked at them with envy!
At that moment, Scarlett felt very proud, like a princess admired by all!
“Thank you so much, dear. I’m so happy!” Scarlett hugged Tyler happily. She remembered the days when she was with Jackson, and they could only have street food. Scarlett was even more grateful to have dumped Jackson!
Scarlett then started taking selfies. “Come on, dear, look at the camera!”
Scarlett and Tyler took a selfie, intentionally including the foreign band and the environment of the table. They posted it on their social media accounts and even tagged the location.
Soon, people started to reply to their posts.
“Scarlett, you went to Silver Spoon to eat! So awesome!”
“When are you taking me there? No one around me has been there yet!”
“Rich lady, please sponsor me!”
Amidst the sounds of envy and surprise , Scarlett’s heart swelled. It only strengthened her resolve to break up with Jackson. She knew that if she stayed with him, she would never be able to enter Silver Spoon in her lifetime.
As for Jackson, he could not help but feel a tinge of discomfort when he saw Scarlett and Tyler kissing in front of everyone. But more than that, he sighed at Scarlett’s lack of self-respect. How could she choose to be with someone like Tyler?
To Jackson, who could easily afford a Ferrari, Tyler’s Passat was nothing special. When he heard a lady’s voice beside him, he snapped out of his thoughts and saw Lily standing next to him.
“I hope you’re not thinking about her,” Lily said.
Jackson smiled lightly. “No, I just feel that Scarlett made a mistake.”
“It’s her own fault for giving up on a great guy like you and going for a scumbag like Tyler,” Lily said, her eyes flashing with a hint of amusement. “Let’s have dinner together. I’ll treat you to Cianwood residence, it’s just outside the campus and you can eat whatever you want.”
Jackson remembered that he had promised to treat Lily to dinner, but he had been too busy lately. “I’ll treat you this time. Let’s go to the Silver Spoon.”
Lily was surprised. She knew that the Silver Spoon was not a place where students could afford to eat. “Are you serious?”
“Follow me,” Jackson said, who did not bother to explain further.
They took a taxi to the hotel, and once they got off, Jackson drag Lily inside without hesitation.
“This isn’t a place for us,” Lily said, feeling nervous as she looked at the opulent decorations in the lobby.
“Don’t worry, I won’t embarrass you,” Jackson said, sighing softly. When Lily went to the restroom, Jackson washed his hands at the sink. That was when Scarlett and Tyler entered.
“What are you doing here?” Scarlett was surprised to see Jackson.
“Scarlett…” Jackson was also taken aback.
“Did you call out to Scarlett?” Tyler walked up to them, his lips pouting as he warned Jackson not to have any thoughts about Scarlett.
Jackson did not say anything and turned to wash his hands again.
Scarlett’s eyes rolled and she walked to the nearest tap to Jackson. She twisted it open, plugged her fingers in the water outlet, then released her fingers, and a stream of water shot towards Jackson.
“You…” Jackson’s face was sprayed with water.
“Haha, serves you right!” Scarlett laughed happily as she watched Jackson’s wet hair.
Jackson did not want to get into a conflict with them.
Jackson wanted to leave, but Scarlett bumped into Tyler with her shoulder and raised her eyebrows. Tyler understood and blocked the door before Jackson, and spreaded his leg across the door.
“You want to leave? It’s not that easy. Call me your Ethan and sister-in-law, and we’ll let you go!” Scarlett sneered at Jackson and said, “I think you sneaked in here, didn’t you? How dare a peasant like you dare to enter Silver Spoon. I’ll call the security if you don’t call me your Ethan and Scarlett your sister in law!”
She wanted Jackson to experience what it felt like to call his ex-girlfriend his sister-in-law!
The more Scarlett bullied Jackson, the more pleasure she felt.
Jackson was really angry now. “I’ve already had enough of you, and you’re still pushing it?”
Just then, Lily walked out from inside and heard what Scarlett had just said.
“Scarlett, you’ve gone too far. Did we invite you here? How dare you call security on us?” Lily looked at Scarlett angrily.
“Oh, so you’re here too. You two are a pair of dogs!” Scarlett sneered, turned her eyes cunningly, and said, “Why did I call security on you? I’m sure you two didn’t come here to eat, right? Humph, do you think this is KFC, where you can come in whenever you want?”
Scarlett’s imposing manner left Lily speechless.
Lily had realized in the restroom that Jackson had brought her here just to play a joke on her!
Initially, she came out to bring Jackson away from here, but unexpectedly, she met Scarlett and Tyler.
It seemed that things were not going to end well with Scarlett’s attitude. She did not know what Scarlett was going to do later, so it would be better to leave now.
“Let’s go, Jackson.” Lily pulled Jackson and prepared to leave.
“Do you think you can just leave like that?” Scarlett and Tyler blocked the door of the restroom, shouting, “Everyone, look! Someone came to the hotel just to use the restroom without eating! Where is the hotel manager? Doesn’t he come to manage this?”
Scarlett’s shouting attracted the attention of other customers nearby.
“Look at this couple, sneaking into the Silver Spoon just to use the restroom. This hotel is open for business, why are you here for free? Shameless! The restroom here is so high-end, you can use it for free without spending a penny. Do you really think there are such good things in the world?”
Scarlett’s words started the crowd’s jeering.
“Yes, people’s quality nowadays is really worrying. How can you just come in and use the restroom like that?”
“There are public restrooms outside, why not go there? You’re too stingy to spend money and you still want to use the restroom in a high-end hotel. What are you thinking?”
“It’s not just about coming in to use the restroom, they also want to use the internet. If they’re not caught, they might just find a corner to sleep in,” said someone. At this moment, the hotel manager arrived.
Scarlett walked up to the manager and pointed at Jackson and his companion, and sneered, “Manager, what are you going to do about this? If anyone can just come in here to use the restroom, then your hotel isn’t as high-class as it’s rumored to be.”
“Please hold on for a moment,” the manager smiled apologetically and turned to Jackson. “Our hotel facilities are for our guests only and not open to outsiders. I’m sorry, but please leave.”
“Jackson, let’s go,” Lily said timidly. She felt embarrassed and humiliated with so many people watching them.
But Jackson held her back and looked at her with a calm expression. “We’re not leaving.”
“Aren’t we guests too?” Jackson asked the manager. “I’ve already reserved a table here.”
“You reserved a table here?” Scarlett was surprised and burst into laughter. In her opinion, it was a joke that someone like Jackson could reserve a table at Silver Spoon, one of the most difficult-to-book hotels in Goldenrod City.
Jackson’s attire did not look like he could afford a table at Silver Spoon, so Scarlett eagerly anticipated seeing him embarrassed when he was asked for proof.
The others also wore expressions of amusement, waiting to see Jackson’s embarrassment.
“Sir, please don’t challenge my limits. If you continue to cause trouble, I’ll have to take appropriate measures,” the manager said into his walkie-talkie.
Lily panicked. She was trying to think of a solution, but as a poor student, she was powerless in a hotel like Silver Spoon.
“I reserved table 8 at your hotel. Don’t believe me? Look at this,” Jackson said, opening his phone and showing the manager the reservation confirmation.
“Ha-ha, you reserved table 8 too? That’s so coincidental. We also reserved table 8. Isn’t that interesting?” Scarlett laughed when she heard Jackson’s words.
She believed Jackson had fabricated the reservation confirmation before arriving at the hotel to fool the hotel staff, but she did not expect to choose the same table they had. This was like walking into a trap.
The manager took a look at Jackson’s phone and immediately put on a smile. He respectfully handed the phone back to Jackson and said, “I’m sorry for the misunderstanding earlier. It was our mistake. I will take you there now.”
