“This is Mr. Reed’s first–quarter dividend. He said to give it to you for safekeeping since he can’t manage money.”
Celeste’s temples throbbed, and she gritted her teeth and replied, “Does Liam really think I wouldn’t spend it?”
Owen replied immediately, “Mr. Reed said that giving the money to you means it’s up to you to handle it. Whether you want to invest or spend it, is all up to you. It’s just a portion of a quarter’s dividend.”
Humph, can this even be considered normal?
A portion of a quarter’s dividend is more money than some people make in their entire lives. This made her even angrier at Liam.
Seeing that she couldn’t get any useful information from Owen, Celeste didn’t inquire any further and let Liam do whatever he wanted.
She had more important things to do and didn’t have time to argue with him.
The defamation court case was the day after tomorrow, and she planned to appear in court herself. So she discussed it with Zach.
Upon hearing that her lawsuit involved Sydney, Zach became a little worried.
“By doing this, you’re exposing your identity. Her fans will definitely fight back, and the paparazzi will follow. If you lose the case, you’ll be labeled as a publicity seeker before the new drama is released.”

Hanson knocked on the door.

Sydney tried so hard to paint herself as coming from a well educated family, but she was always worried that her cover would be blown. She was so scared of the paparazzi finding out about her real family background that she hadn’t been back home in years.
As the gap between their social classes grew wider, Sydney’s affection for Hanson dwindled.
Her parents sent her to be with Sydney, hoping that she’d help their daughter make a name for herself in the entertainment industry. After all, who wouldn’t be tempted by the money these celebs make from just one movie, which might be more than what they could earn in a year?
