Chapter 68 Boosting Her Security Measures.
Despite her having a few drinks at the dinner party, Freya’s slightly tipsy expression turned icy, and her eyes glinted with caution. “Would you please escort me back home, Mr. Monaghan?”
After the incident at the Vincent family’s dinner party, the head of the Vincent family promptly took action. The estate was surrounded, and all the guests were escorted out safely.
Radley drove his car while two guards from the Vincent family followed him.
As they arrived at the Kaufmann Residence, Radley stopped the car and refrained Freya from getting out of it. “Freya, who wants to kill you?”
Freya pursed her lips. I’m not sure.”
“You have no idea?” Radley’s voice rose a few notches, and his face grew more serious.
Although she disliked his attitude, she remembered that Radley had just saved her life…
“I will find out who wants to harm me. Thank you for your help today.” Freya thanked him again before getting out of the car.
After getting home, she went to the bathroom to check her ears.
The bullet had only grazed her ear, but it could have hit her in the head if it had been a little off.

Freya was currently responsible for the security at the Kaufmann Residence, which made it challenging for anyone to harm her due to tight security measures.
After washing her face, Freya went into the study.
She logged into The Green Flamation forum and navigated to the section where users could freely post tasks, searching for the previous post about the attempt on her life.
The program she created was still tirelessly sifting through the countless IP addresses in search of the person who posted the assassination task under the username “Rose Zero.”
Freya scrolled down the post and noticed a new comment.

Freya’s eyes twitched as she was aware Killblade was a renowned assassin on The Green Flamation forum, and it seemed highly probable that he was the one who had attacked her earlier that night.
And most importantly, Ink was interested in Killblade and had plans to promote him to the fifth administrator after his assessment.
Using her administrative privileges, Freya accessed the private chat between Rose Zero and Killblade with a few clicks on her keyboard.
The conversation between Rose Zero and Killblade was brief, but the price quickly escalated to 8 million.

Furious, Freya took a screenshot of the conversation between Killblade and Rose Zero and shared it in the administrator group.
Ink responded, ‘Green Scylla, have you been peeking at users’ private chats?’

Freya typed. “I remember you were planning to promote Killblade to manage the free task board. Haven’t you been investigating him all this time? I need his information now.”
Ink replied, ‘I can give you his information, but based on their conversation, it seems they were targeting the daughter of the Kaufmann family. What is your relationship with her?”
Heartless Scoundrel added, “I assume Green Scylla is pursuing the daughter of the Kaufmann family? I recall hearing that she recently went through a divorce. If you think about it, it’s fitting for a divorced. woman and a middle-aged single man to be together.
Freya sneered at Heartless Scoundrel’s comment about her being a divorced woman.
She typed. Heartless Scoundrel, don’t come to me if you encounter problems in your next task!”
In the forum, Freya provided technical support and also helped with other tasks. When Heartless Scoundrel encountered danger in their missions, she utilized her hacking skills to assist them in finding targets, evading danger, and erasing any traces.
As Freya saw Heartless Scoundrel admitting defeat in the group chat, Ink uploaded their investigation on Killblade into the group.
Freya downloaded the investigation file. It wasn’t easy to uncover the users’ real identities on the dark web, but Ink had been tracking Killblade for a while. She scanned the records and noticed Killblade’s usual IP address was in Caltun!
She narrowed her eyes, knowing that things would be much simpler now with the IP address in hand.
Her fingers moved quickly across the keyboard as she switched between systems. An hour later, Freya successfully located the IP address in Caltun.
The address was so familiar to Freya that her eyelids twitched.
It was located at Caltun Funeral Parlor!
Freya contacted Killblade directly on The Green Flamation forum using her username Green Scylla.
Killblade’s excitement was conveyed through his words as he typed, ‘Mr. GS! What brings you to chat with me?”
Freya sent the address she had found bluntly. ‘Do you happen to work at Caltun Funeral Parlor?’

Freya stared at the screen while her mind quickly filtered through the colleagues at the funeral parlor. While quite a few people were working there, she could narrow it down based on Killblade’s tone.

Things went very smoothly.
Freya squinted her eyes and tapped on the keyboard. ‘Let’s meet at Moonlight at 8 p.m. tomorrow.”

In the dimly lit study, Radley furrowed his brows tightly. He pinched his forehead and looked at the deep. night outside.
His face tensed as he realized someone might be going after Freya. When he remembered Freya’s indifferent attitude, he thought, How can she be so unconcerned after all this?
With Braxton being hospitalized and Sylvia leaving for Vroria, Freya was the only Kaufmann family member in the house. With no one to protect her, Freya was not safe on her own.

The next day, Freya woke up and freshened up. As she came down for breakfast, the butler rushed into the dining room. “Miss, the security team just arrived and informed us that more than twenty strangers are roaming the streets surrounding our residence.”

“It seems like there’s no hostility. They appear to be patrolling in groups of three-”
“Patrolling?!” Freya frowned. What the hell is going on?
“Miss, would you like us to capture one of them and ask?”
