Chapter 128 Advice From an Experienced Person
On the day Braxton and Isabella returned, Freya received a video call from Chris.
Chris had a bruise under his eyes. He gritted his teeth as he said, “Frey, if it weren’t for the fact that he’s your brother. I would never let him off the hook!”
She felt a little apologetic and thanked him.
He was immediately flattered. “I’ve completed the task you gave me. I’ll be back in Caltun shortly and I’ll invite you out for a drink.”
With Braxton’s return, Freya finally took off the burden on her shoulders and had time to go visit Trisha.
Trisha was now staying at a villa on the outskirts of Caltun that belonged to Radley. The villa had hot springs, which were excellent for her health.
Freya called Trisha and arranged to meet her. She hoped to check Trisha’s pulse and see if she needed to change some of her medication.
When Trisha answered the phone, her voice sounded more vigorous than before. “Miss Kaufmann, I’m feeling much better now.”
Freya laughed. “I had some family matters to attend to recently and was really busy. I’ll come and visit you
tomorrow.”
Trisha acknowledged and complained to Freya about Brandon.
“My husband has been busy working at your Joint Department in West Geft every day, doing some small- scale simulations of the tenon-mortise pavilion. It’s quite boring for me alone at the villa, so it would be great if you could come and visit me.”
Freya was relieved that Radley was a workaholic and would not be staying at the villa.
Since Brandon was also not around, when Freya went to visit, she could take Trisha for a stroll around the garden and discreetly check her pulse.
“Mrs. Lane, I’ll come to the villa tomorrow morning to visit you.”
At the Joint Department in West Geft, Brandon was modeling a few small tenon-mortise pavilions.
He had already dismantled half of the tenon-mortise pavilion and recorded everything inside it. When he returned, he made a small model.
As he was working diligently, the office door opened and Radley walked in. Brandon looked up and said, “Oh, you’re here again.”
Radley looked at the complex tenon-mortise pavilion model on the desk. If it weren’t for finding Brandon, there would be no one else who could repair the tenon-mortise pavilion.
He was also someone that Radley had worked hard to hire.
Brandon found it amusing and said, “You come here every day, but it doesn’t seem like there’s anything you need to manage in person. Why don’t you stay in the company? I’ve heard that the Monaghans are
Radley smiled coldly and said, “This project is particularly important, so I feel more secure keeping an eye
on it here.”
Brandon nodded knowingly and asked. “Are you keeping an eye on the project, or are you waiting for someone?”
Radley’s eyes flickered slightly.
“Don’t look at me like that. I’m also an experienced person. When it comes to the person you like, as a man, you should be bolder.”
Bolder!
Radley pursed his thin lips and said. “Mr. Lane, the situation between her and I is different from the situation between you and your wife.”
Brandon shrugged. “What’s different? As long as you like each other and love each other, it’s all the same!”
Like and love each other? Radley’s gaze flickered.
Brandon continued, “You said I don’t know the situation, but in fact, I have heard some things. Radley, you young people think too much. Just love her and do everything you can to treat her well. That’s how I pursued my wife.”
As he was speaking, his phone on the table rang,
He answered the phone and immediately smiled after hearing the voice on the other end. “Yeah, honey. Okay, I got it. You said Freya is coming to visit tomorrow, right? Okay. I’ll come home tomorrow to accompany you then.”
After hanging up the phone, Brandon looked up and mei Radley’s gaze.
He smiled and said, “Freya is going to visit my wife at the villa tomorrow.”
Radley nodded in satisfaction and left.
Holding his phone for a moment, Brandon suddenly snorted angrily. “No wonder this brat comes to visit me every day. I thought it was out of respect for me as his elder!”
It turned out that Radley was curious about Freya visiting’s time and came to him for information.
Brandon even tried to advise Radley every day as an elder, but he didn’t expect that Radley already had his own plans.
The next day, Freya got up early and called Brisa. They drove to the Monaghans’ villa in the suburbs.
The villa was in a good location. It was adjacent to a small scenic area with beautiful views. As they drove up the mountainside, someone came to greet them and took them in.
After passing through a large platform, they saw a black-and-white gate on a platform next to a huge rock.
Freya and Brisa entered the house.
Trisha was already waiting under the pavilion in the courtyard. She was lying on a lounge chair When she

“Mrs. Lane, please take it slow. Your body is still weak. Don’t get up too fast,” Freya said as she approached Trisha and held Trisha’s arm.
“I thought you were coming at 9. You had me worried, Trisha said with a smile.
Freya smiled. “We were stuck in traffic.”
She walked with Trisha for a few steps and then saw two people sitting by a pond not far away. Radley and Brandon were sitting across from each other at a stone table by the pond, playing chess.
She was silent for a moment and then asked, “Why is Radley here?”
Trisha gave Freya a gentle smile and said, “I knew you were coming today, so I asked Brandon to come back. Radley was the one who sent him back.”
Freya was speechless for a moment. Radley was as shrewd as a fox, and she was afraid it would be troublesome if she tried to diagnose Trisha in front of him.
Brandon was originally focused on the game, but when he saw Freya and Brisa arrive, he let out a hearty laugh. “Let’s stop playing. Freya and Brisa are here.”
Radley got up and turned to look at them.
Freya smiled in response. She hadn’t seen Radley for a few days since returning from Lagresh.
Seeing him now made her feel inexplicably nervous for a moment.
The four of them went back to the room to chat. The topic gradually shifted to the principles of tenon- and-mortise structure. Freya was very interested in this field and became engrossed in the conversation, gradually forgetting the discomfort of having Radley present.
At lunchtime, she suddenly remembered that she had not yet diagnosed Trisha.
After lunch, they sat in the living room and chatted. Freya smiled and said, “Mrs. Lane, I have been. reading some traditional medicine books recently and I am learning how to diagnose and check pulses. Can I try to diagnose you?”
Trisha immediately extended her hand and said, “Of course. Why not? Go ahead and give it a try.”
Under Radley’s gaze, Freya nervously checked the pulse. She deliberately did it several times to show her lack of skill before finally finding the right spot.
