Chapter 116 Madam Rosie Fainted
Radley was typing on his tablet. His fingers paused for a moment.
“Why do you ask that?”
Freya squinted her eyes. “A black business car has been appearing around me constantly. But strangely, Mr. Monaghan, whenever you’re around, the car isn’t.”
Presumably, they must have thought that there was no need to follow her since she was already in Radley’s line of sight.
Radley curved his lips slightly. “You’re not very safe right now. I’m just taking care of your safety since you’re my business partner. It’s my responsibility.”

At the thought of that, she glanced at Radley. Is he really concerned about my safety because I’m his business partner? Or is he just monitoring me?
“You’d better withdraw your men,” she warned in a low voice. “I’ll take care of my own safety. I don’t need my business partner to worry about it.”
Radley didn’t say anything.
When the car arrived at the Monaghans’ mansion, it was already two o’clock in the afternoon.
As soon as Freya and Radley entered the house, Walter went to call Daniella.
Daniella had just woken up from her nap and was delighted to see Freya. “Frey, you’re here!”
But when she saw Radley beside Freya, she frowned and questioned, “Who are you? Why are you with my granddaughter-in-law?”

Lately, Daniella had been having episodes more often. The damage of Alzheimer’s disease was irreversible. Freya held Daniella’s warm hand, feeling heartbroken.
Daniella was sick to the point where she couldn’t even recognize her own grandson. Yet, she still remembered Freya.
While Daniella was holding Freya’s hand, her memories seemed to return to when Freya and Radley
still married.
“Frey, don’t worry. If Radley let you down again, you can tell me,” said Daniella kindly.
Freya glanced at Radley, who was sitting far away at another table in the living room.
It seems like that man had been letting me down a lot in the past.
Just then. Daniella’s attention fell on Freya’s belly.
Frey, are you pregnant?”
Freya rubbed her belly and smiled awkwardly while lying. “Nah, I just ate too much for lunch.”
Due to her illness, Daniella’s understanding had obviously gotten worse. With excitement, she caressed Freya’s belly carefully.
“Is my great-grandchild a boy or a girl?”
Freya pursed her lips and clenched her hand secretly.
It was a lucky guess by Daniella. On the side, Walter gestured at Freya to go along with Daniella’s words.
Hence, Freya could only smile insincerely and changed her statement. “Yes, I’m pregnant. But we don’t know the gender of the baby yet.”
Hearing that, Radley glanced over from not far away.
Freya looked away.
“Whether it’s a boy or a girl, it’s great. Radley is going to be a father! It looks like I need to start preparing baby clothes now.” Daniella was overjoyed.
“Madam Daniella, we don’t know the baby’s gender yet. There’s no need to rush, Freya reassured.
Daniella had a smile on her face all afternoon while chatting with Freya. She also had the kitchen make a lot of desserts for Freya.
As time passed, Freya’s heart grew heavier. Daniella’s episode seemed to be getting longer than before. which was not a good sign.
Maybe one day in the future, Daniella will stay like this forever. She won’t recognize anyone and will never come back to her senses.
Freya had a heavy feeling in her chest.
By the afternoon, Daniella became tired. The maid had to take her to rest, but Daniella refused and insisted on having Freya accompany her.
Freya and the maid helped Daniella up to the second floor and put her to bed. After Daniella had fallen asleep, Freya quietly left and closed the door.
As Freya headed toward the spiral staircase, she heard a loud noise coming from behind.
She turned and glanced at the door of a room that was closest to the corridor. Although she had been to the Monaghan Residence many times, she was still not familiar with the layout of the second floor.
There were no more sounds coming from the room, so Freya went downstairs.
Downstairs, Walter was talking to a maid.
“Have you brought Madam’s medicine upstairs?”
Just as Freya walked past them, she heard the maid answer, “Yeah, we sent it up about ten minutes ago. After taking the medicine, Madam said she wanted to rest, so we came down.”
Sensing something in the air, Freya came to a sudden stop.
She turned around and asked the maid, “What medicine?”
The butler explained smilingly, “Madam has high blood pressure, so she’s been taking medicine for that”
Somehow, Freya felt uneasy and had a bad feeling about the situation.
Recalling the loud noise she heard near the staircase just now, she had a sense of foreboding in her heart.
However, Rosie had always disliked her. Upon hesitating for a few seconds, Freya decided to go back upstairs. Life was at stake, after all.
Since Daniella had ordered that Freya could move around freely in the mansion, Walter and the maids. didn’t stop her.
Back on the second floor, Freya stood in front of a room near the corner.
She knocked on the door, calling. “Anyone in there?”
The room was quiet. Freya’s sense of foreboding grew even more intense, and she tried to turn the door knob.
Easily, she opened the door.
It was a small suite with a private living room.
“Madam Rosie?” she called, furrowing her brows.
Freya walked into the living room. As she got close to the wooden moon door that was draped with beaded curtains, she spotted someone lying on the floor in the bedroom.
It was Rosie. She had already passed out, and her face was pallid.
Without thinking. Freya went up to Rosie and propped up the latter.
She checked Rosie’s pulse and heartbeat, only to find thein very weak.
Just as Freya was about to call for help, she was met with Danna’s gaze.
“Danna? Why are you here?”
Danna stood at the door. Her expression was tense and pale. After a few seconds, she suddenly screamed, “Freya, what did you do to Madam Rosie?”
With her scream, everyone downstairs must have heard her clearly.

The footsteps grew close. Soon, Radley and Walter came into the private living room.
Seeing Rosie pass out on the floor, Walter shouted, “Quick! Call the doctor!”
When they realized that Rosie’s heartbeat was very weak, everyone became flustered.
Except for Daniella who was deep asleep, everyone else was busy.
Soon, the Monaghans’ family doctor came. Upon measuring Rosie’s blood pressure, he discovered that her blood pressure had reached a life-threatening level
“She must be sent to the hospital now!” instructed the family doctor.
The driver was already waiting at the door, and they immediately rushed Rosie to the hospital.
Before leaving the mansion, Freya noticed that Danna was entering the mansion.
With her brows furrowed, she asked Walter, “Why is Danna here?”
