Chapter 9
Because of Celeste, Liam lost his interest in talking business and left soon after.
Nicolas had just returned to the hall when he saw Xabier coming downstairs. He looked around and asked, “Where’s Celestial Haze? Why didn’t she come down with you?”
“She left a while ago, didn’t you see her downstairs?” Xabier said.
Nicolas looked puzzled.
He looked at the receptionist, and she told him, “It was the beautiful girl who just took the elevator down and greeted you.”
Nicolas was shocked!
Celeste was Celestial Haze?!
This world seemed a bit strange. Liam’s gorgeous wife, a nouveau riche who flaunted her wealth and personal life on social media, turned out to be a top voice actor in the industry.
So now Liam wanted to take away his wife’s job and gave it to Sydney?
This plot… was too interesting!
Xabier saw Nicolas‘ expression and frowned, “What bad idea are you thinking about?”
Nicolas smiled and replied, “It’s a secret.”
Damn Liam!
Who cares about the crappy stuff you gave! Keep your money and go check your impotence! I don’t care!
Thinking about that annoying man’s words, Celeste became even angrier. She was playing with her phone when she suddenly saw an ad for a fertility clinic. She hesitated for a moment and then made an appointment.
As soon as she finished inputting the information, her phone rang..
She glanced at the caller ID, frowned, and slowly answered the phone..
“Hello, Dad.”
“Where are you?” Shawn asked.
Unable to figure out what Shawn was up to, Celeste lied, “I’m at a private lesson. What’s up?”
“Nothing, just come over with Liam after your lesson. A friend brought me some white truffles, and your mother–in–law loves them, right? You can bring some to her.” Shawn said.
She had lived for 26 years, and she dared say that Shawn couldn’t even say what she liked, but he could accurately figure out what her mother–in–law liked, which sounded a bit ironic.
“Okay.” Celeste said.
Seeing her agree, Shawn was relaxed. He asked her a few casual questions, and hung up.
Celeste picked up her Porsche Cayenne from the store. This car was her wedding gift when she got married. The previous collision marks were no longer visible. But even so, thinking about the incident still hurt.
After the divorce, all she could probably get was this car. Thinking about it, Celeste regretted not driving Liam’s Bugatti that day!
To make her lie seem real, she even called her personal trainer and added a temporary class.
She didn’t go to the Campbell family until 6 p.m.
When she arrived at the door, she tidied herself up and rang the doorbell.
The door was opened by Angel Campbell, the Campbell family’s adopted daughter. She looked delighted and said, “Sis, why are you so late?” Looking behind her, she asked, “Where’s Liam?”
“He has a last–minute meeting and can’t make it.” Celeste said.

Angel’s face clearly showed disappointment, and she complained, “Why didn’t you say that earlier?”
Celeste glanced at her dressed–up appearance and asked, “Are you going on a date tonight?”
Angel hesitated, avoiding her gaze, and vaguely replied, “No, just practicing my makeup skills.”
Celeste had already stepped inside, and Angel gritted her teeth and followed.
