Chapter 686
Imagining Liam struggling only to gain one point, Celeste’s mood instantly improved.
She lightly patted his shoulder, encouraging him, “Keep it up.”
Seeing her smug expression, Liam felt a warm glow inside. He suddenly grabbed her wrist, pulled her against the car, kissed her cheek, and whispered, “I will”
Celeste was startled and quickly checked their friends‘ reactions. Luckily, everyone was busy with their things and hadn’t noticed them.
She glared at Liam, “Touching me without my consent is a hundred points off!”
Liam’s eye twitched, “Points can be deducted?”
“Of course! What can be added can be deducted!”
Liam asked again, “Under what conditions will points be deducted?”
Celeste answered, “Depends on my mood at the time.”
Liam thought momentarily, saying. The same reason won’t be deducted twice, right?”
Celeste thought you’re still in the negatives, whether it’s deducted twice or not, so she said, “No double deductions.”
Then Liam kissed her other cheek and grinned, like a child who’s pulled off a successful prank, “You said no double deductions.”
Mason got a call from a client, so after hanging up and saying goodbye to everyone, he left first.
Nicolas had to return to the office, and Liam drived Trisha and Celeste home.
Trisha wasn’t as relaxed in Liam’s car and didn’t dare to talk much.
Once they reach home, she quickly got out of the vehicle.
As Celeste exited, Liam stopped her, “If you ever need anything, call me. I know you don’t like owing people, but you can always ask me for help. I want to help you”
Before Celeste could express her gratitude, Liam said, “If you’re too embarrassed, you can always give me some points.”
Celeste waved at him, “Goodbye.”
After saying this, she unbuckled her seatbelt and got out of the car, not looking back as she walks away.
Liam watched her figure disappear and then dialled a number on his phone.
Once connected, he asked, “Doctor, has Mason been to see you recently?”
“Yes, he comes every week, but his headaches haven’t improved. It might be due to psychological stress.”
“Has there been any change in his condition recently?”
The doctor thought for a moment, “There have been some changes. He asked me a while ago if he could date with his condition.”
Liam’s heart raced, “What else did he say?”
“I don’t know about the rest,” the doctor chuckled, “but I heard Mason’s got a crush on a girl. That’s good stuff for him, you know? It gives him an emotional outlet which could take a load off his mind, maybe even help with his headache issues.”
When Liam hung up the phone, his face was all kinds of serious.
The news of Sydney being whisked away by an ambulance caught fire on social media like wildfire.
The fans were all kinds of confused, hurling accusations at the Murder production team online, blaming them for overworking Sydney.
The production team stood their ground, releasing a training video from that morning.
The practice only lasted for three hours, and Sydney fainted halfway through. The kicker here was that the dance routines didn’t add up to an hour within that time, and it wasn’t a continuous hour. The other actresses in the group were all spry and lively, so to say that Sydney fainted because she was overworked didn’t hold water.
The official response from the Murder production team was that they were bummed about the whole thing, but they hoped everyone would cool their jets, be rational, and wait for the hospital’s diagnosis.
Then, someone spotted Celeste in the video, who had gained some social media fame a while back, she was there at the scene, standing close to Sydney. When Sydney hit the deck, she did not lend a hand and even ducked to the side.
