She licked her lips, a little nervous.
Nicolas and Trisha were as cool as cucumbers, acting like they hadn’t heard the noise coming from the bathroom.
“Is there someone in the bathroom?” Steven asked.
“Ummm! it’s the plumber Celeste fibbed with a poker face. “The tap in the bathroom broke.”

Steven glanced around the room, taking a while before he said, “Well uld be going then.”
As he said this, he dialed a number on his phone
Immediately, a series of phone rings echoed from the dining table.
Steven looked at the phone lying on the chair
Liam, who was in the bathroom, also seemed to have heard the ringtone. He pushed the door open, his shirt half unbuttoned, looking wet and water–drenched, his hair was also wet. He combed back with his hand, revealing his chiseled features.
Despite being fully clothed, he looked like he just got out of a shower, strolling out cool as a cucumber.
He casually greeted, “Mr. Garcia, what a coincidence. Are you here for dinner too?”

Steven smirked, “The Reed family business not doing well? You’ve changed careers to plumbing?”
Liam smiled calmly. The business is doing fine, I’m just helping out a neighbor and promoting community spint”
Steven’s eyes twitched, “Neighbor?”
Nicolas raised his hand, “Neighbor’s right here, I’m the tenant of 902”
Steven looked at him, then at Liam, quickly catching on.
These two had conned that naive kud, Nathan
He knew something was fishy when the rental ad was just posted, and so many internet celebrities showed up
That idiot Nathan even told him that J City was the capital of intemet celebrities, many of whom rent top–tier apartments to make videos
With such high rents, did he think beng an internet celebrity was so profitable?

Suppressing his annoyance, Steven smiled and tumed to Celeste, “If anything breaks in the future, call maintenance if it can be fixed, or just throw it away if it can’t Don’t always bother the neighbors, it’s a hassle.”
“You should throw things away when it’s time, don’t be stingy, I’ll get new ones for you Remember, everything’s better when it’s new”
Liam’s eye twitched, and his face turned a bit sour
Seeing Liam’s expression made Steven feel much better, “Alright, I’m off, Mr. Reed, you should head home after you’re done fixing the pipes.”
As soon as Steven said goodbye, Liam frowned and said, “Steven’s pretty shrewd, try to interact with him less”
Celeste gave him a sidelong glance, “How about a walk?”
“Huh?”
Liam was caught off guard
Celeste said, “Let’s go for a walk downstairs?”
Liam returned to reality, this was the first time Celeste had asked him out since the divorce
Was it because she found out about Sydney’s lies and felt relieved?
Liam’s heart pounded, he cleared his throat and said, “Sure”
