My Rich Hot and Infertile (Or Maybe Not) Husband Chapter 543

Chapter 543
Sugar had finished eating and was restless in the stable.
As soon as Liam and the others arrived, Sugar couldn’t help but start whinnying, panting heavily through his nostrils, stomping his hooves in place, his eyes black and sharp, his mane smooth and flowing, his coat so black it gleamed.
Liam changed into his riding gear, opened the railing, and led Sugar out.
Sugar didn’t eagerly follow Liam, but instead circled around Celeste, showing off his hooves and neck in an anxious manner.
Celeste was puzzled, and upon closer inspection, her eyes suddenly fell on Sugar’s hooves. She exclaimed in surprise, “You got new shoes?”
Sugar immediately raised his head and proudly trotted a few steps in front of her.
He had new horseshoes on, making a loud sound as he stepped on the ground. Sugar even intentionally stepped heavily, like a child showing off new shoes to friends
Celeste couldn’t help but laugh.
Mason chuckled, “I was wondering what he was trying to show off, turns out it’s his new shoes.”
Celeste smiled and stroked Sugar’s mane, “He even showed off his hairpin to me before. He’s just like a child, except he can’t talk.”
“He’s that smart?”
Mason said, trying to imitate Celeste and reach out to touch Sugar’s mane, but before he could, Sugar turned his head to avoid him.
Liam held the reins, a hint of a smile on his lips as he watched. “This horse isn’t just for anyone to touch.”
What Liam said was true. Sugar was particular about his owner, and aside from the horse trainer, only Sienna, Liam, and Celeste were allowed to touch him.
Kaylee had tried to show off by riding him in front of friends, but was unceremoniously thrown off. Since then, Kaylee had not dared to mess with Sugar again
However, Liam’s words were quite unpleasant.
Celeste, not wanting Mason to feel awkward, explained, “Sugar is a bit shy. He’ll be fine once she gets used to you.”
Mason smiled, “It’s not surprising for a good horse to be picky about its owner.”
Sugar was anxious to run on the racetrack and could hardly wait.
Liam told Celeste, “Put on your protective gear and take him for a warm–up.”
Celeste didn’t refuse. She was an average rider, but she enjoyed riding. It was even more fun to tame a spirited horse like Sugar, so she naturally wouldn’t say no.
Perhaps it was because they hadn’t seen each other for a while, but today Sugar was especially well–behaved, allowing Celeste to mount him without any fuss.
Celeste gently pulled the reins, and Sugar dashed onto the track.
Celeste waved her riding crop, lightly tapping Sugar’s back, and Sugar sped up in response.
Celeste bent down, clamping her legs around Sugar’s back, feeling the wind–like speed of the horse.
Mason watched the heroic woman on the racetrack, deep in thought.
Liam glanced at Mason and said, “I taught her how to ride.”
Mason snapped back to reality. “Really? It’s hard to imagine, Celeste said you didn’t have much patience when you danced with her.”
The implication being that teaching her to ride was probably a lie.
Liam:…
That woman could really say anything!
When has he ever been impatient? He just doesn’t like dancing, that’s all. What’s so great about two people getting up close and personal, wiggling their hips in a dance floor?
After running two laps, Celeste came back with a thin layer of sweat on her nose. She jumped off the horse, led Sugar to Liam, and tossed the reins to him. “Sugar’s too excited, I’m having a hard time holding him back. You go.”
As soon as Liam took the reins, Mason grabbed a bottle of water, twisted it open halfway, and handed it to Celeste. “Have some water and take a
break.”
Liam frowned.
